Abstract

Science and technology are undergoing rapid development and progress. It is due to the increasing number of modern inventions. Among the technological discoveries that are very important are in the medical field. With modern medical equipment, the suffering of a patient can be reduced. But in reality, there are still some patients who have severe suffering. Patients who experience prolonged illness invites empathy from the family. To relieve his suffering, the family who could not bear to see his condition asked the doctor to take actions that could shorten the patient's life, this kind of action in the medical world is known as euthanasia. This study aims to find out how the study of active euthanasia in the view of Christian law. This study is a literature review using an ethical-theological approach by studying books and scientific works related to the discussed problem.

Abstract

Pendidikan agama Kristen berlangsung secara normatif-ritualistik-konvensional dan cenderung membatasi diri pada perubahan serta menunjukkan praksis di zona nyaman. Praksis semacam itu mengindikasikan bahwa kepedulian dan kepekaan dalam dinamika PAK hanyalah menjadi tugas orang-orang tertentu. Kerapuhan praksis PAK semakin terlihat ketika berjumpa pada masa dimana kecekatan, kapasitas dan kualitas menjadi orientasi dalam sistem sosial. PAK harus mampu menghadapi berbagai isu sosial sekaligus berupaya memperkokoh pondasi serta menjadi jawaban atas kebutuhan dan pergumulan hidup orang-orang. Oleh karena itu, PAK harus direkonstruksi secara kontekstual dan inovatif sehingga PAK benar-benar hadir menjadi wahana dimana orang-orang dapat belajar memaknai hidup dan berdampak bagi banyak orang. Dengan metode penelitian deskriptif-analitis, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis berbagai persoalan dalam praktik PAK, baik di sekolah, gereja dan keluarga atau masyarakat, serta menghadirkan rumusan strategi yang kontekstual dan inovatif dalam praksis PAK. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perhatian PAK tidak hanya sebatas di sekolah, masyarakat atau keluarga dan gereja namun lebih luas menjangkau isu-isu sosial lainnya yang melekat dengan tugas dan panggilan PAK. Berbagai permasalahan atau fenomena yang terjadi dalam kaitannya dengan praksis PAK menegaskan pentingnya upaya rekonstruksi strategi PAK yang kontekstual dan inovatif. Rekonstruksi strategi PAK dimaksudkan agar memperkuat bangunan PAK yang rapuh dan tidak adaptif dengan perkembangan dan kemajuan zaman dewasa ini.

Abstract

The Fourth Industrial Revolution, 4IR is characterized by an acceleration in the use of technology, the internet of things that enters the social system brings both positive and negative impacts. Brings constructive impact to the prepared and adapted and is otherwise very destructive in the existing social system. In particular, there is a moral degradation of character in learners that Christian Religious Education must responsively and professionally deal with. This research was conducted using a descriptive-analytical method, which seeks to describe the social competence of Christian Religious Education teachers in the context of Industry 4.0 and its implications for the development of student character. It was found that in facing learning challenges in the era of Industry 4.0, especially in the holistic character development of students of Christian Religious Education must be adaptive and accommodating. In a social approach, Christian Religious teachers communicate interactive and communicative learning, which empowers students in a participatory manner and builds strong relationships based on the love of Christ. AbstrakRevolusi industri 4.0 yang ditandai dengan percepatan dalam penggunaan teknologi, internet of things yang masuk dalam sistem sosial membawa dampak positif dan negatif. Membawa dampak konstruktif bagi yang siap dan beradaptasi dan sebaliknya sangat destruktif dalam sistem sosial yang ada. Secara khusus, terjadinya degradasi moral karakter dalam diri peserta didik yang PAK harus dengan responsif dan profesional menghadapinya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif-analitis, yang berusaha menggambarkan kompetensi sosial guru PAK dalam konteks revolusi industri 4.0 dan implikasinya bagi perkembangan karakter peserta didik. Ditemukan bahwa dalam menghadapi tantangan pembelajaran di era revolusi industri 4.0, khususnya dalam perkembangan karakter peserta didik yang holistik PAK harus adaptif dan akomodatif. Dalam pendekatan sosial, guru PAK mengkomunikasikan pembelajaran secara interaktif dan komunikatif, yang di dalamnya memberdayakan peserta didik secara partisipatif serta membangun hubungan relasi yang kuat, yang didasari oleh kasih Kristus.

Abstract

Culture at the practical level regulates the way of life, including education. In Ambon, especially in Allang land, there is a culture of eseupaloloi which is a form of cooperation between communities, both in building houses and making new land for plantations. The aim of the research is to demonstrate the construction of Christian education based on local cultural wisdom, by proposing a cultural eseupaloloi of the Allang community in Ambon. By using a descriptive-qualitative method, both with literature instruments and interviews with several local traditional leaders, an understanding was obtained about the spirit that animates eseupaloloi as a result of the research, namely mutual cooperation, characterized by: common problems/challenges; a mutual will to solve it; grace in problem-solving; common sense to solve problems; sincerity and willingness to lighten the will in solving problems. The conclusion of this study is, eseupaloloi culture contains values that can be the construction of multicultural Christian education.AbstrakKebudayaan pada tataran praksis mengatur cara hidup, termasuk aspek pendidikan. Di Ambon, khususnya di tanah Allang, terdapat budaya eseupaloloi yang merupakan bentuk kerjasama antarmasyarakat, baik dalam membangun rumah, membuat lahan baru untuk perkebunan. Tujuan penelitian untuk menunjukkan sebuah konstruksi pendidikan kristiani yang berbasis pada kearifan budaya lokal, dengan mengusulkan budaya eseupaloloi masyarakat Allang di Ambon. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif-kualitatif, baik dengan instrumen literatur maupun wawancara pada beberapa tokoh adat setempat, diperoleh pemahaman tentang semangat yang menjiwai eseupaloloi sebagai hasil penelitian, yakni gotong royong, dengan bercirikan pada: masalah/tantangan bersama; kemauan bersama untuk menyelesaikannya; rahmat dalam pemecahan masalah; akal sehat untuk memecahkan masalah; keikhlasan dan kesediaan untuk meringankan keinginan dalam memecahkan masalah. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah, budaya eseupaloloi mengandung nilai-nilai yang dapat menjadi bangunan sebuah pendidikan kristiani multikultural.

Abstract

This article examines the salvation concept in the Lumen Gentium document. The concept of salvation in the Christian tradition is based not only on the cross but also on the Lumen Gentium document, which guarantees safety for adherents of religions other than Christianity. This article aims to explain the doctrine of Christian Salvation through the Lumen Gentium document, analyze the debates and variations of views that exist in Christian theology regarding the fate of adherents of other religions, and look at the responses of Christian churches and theologians to these challenges and dilemmas about the fate of others. The approach used in writing this article is an analysis of the literature, which involves the study of theology, the study of ecclesiastical documents, and the study of the views of Christian theologians on soteriology. This article reveals that soteriology emphasizes the importance of explicit faith in Christ as the only way of Salvation stated in Christian teachings. However, there are debates and various views in Christian theology regarding the fate of those who embrace other religions. Some theologians try to embrace religious diversity by arguing that Salvation can be found in other religions through the grace of God working through Christ without explicit knowledge of Him. Meanwhile, some maintain the exclusive view that faith in Christ is the only way to Salvation. Soteriology shows that faith in Christ as the work of Salvation accomplished through His death on the Cross is the core of the Christian understanding of Salvation. But in the context of the fate of others, there are various views in Christian theology. Based on this fact, the inclusivism built by the Lumen Gentium document seems half-hearted. Therefore a healthy theological dialogue and more profound understanding are needed to respond to this complex challenge and to promote an inclusive experience and widespread love for all human beings.

Abstract

Pembelajaran normal telah terdampak secara signifikan oleh pandemi COVID-19 di berbagai institusi, terutama SMP 38 Maluku Tengah. Meskipun demikian, paradigma pembelajaran campuran untuk pendidikan agama Kristen (PAK) dan pendidikan karakter harus diciptakan untuk meningkatkan standar pengajaran. Latar belakang SMP Negeri 38 Maluku Tengah yang terdampak oleh pandemi COVID menjadi dasar penelitian ini. Lingkungan sekolah terkendala dengan pengurangan jam pelajaran dan pembagian siswa menjadi dua kelompok. Tindakan kelas digunakan dalam pendekatan penelitian yang pelaksanaannya terbatas pada siklus kedua. Temuan yang membatasi siklus 2 dapat diamati pada hasil observasi aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran dengan menggunakan teknik blended learning pada siklus I yang menunjukkan 66% pada kategori kurang karena siswa belum terbiasa dengan metode ini, dan 65,38% pada kategori kuat. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan dari sebelumnya, namun tidak terlalu kuat, oleh karena itu dilakukan siklus II. Hasil statistik menunjukkan bahwa persentase aktivitas belajar siswa adalah 86%, yang dianggap cukup baik. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pada siklus II. Minat belajar siswa meningkat sebesar 83,39% dengan kategori sangat kuat. Akhirnya, siklus dihentikan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan strategi blended learning dapat meningkatkan minat belajar. Gagasan untuk guru PAK adalah untuk menggunakan pembelajaran blended learning untuk meningkatkan antusiasme siswa dalam belajar di SMP 38 Maluku Tengah.

Abstract

The curriculum is a major component of the education system that determines the direction and quality of the teaching and learning process at various educational levels. This study aims to analyze the stages of curriculum development in Christian education and to identify its relevance and challenges in the current social and cultural context. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive method, utilizing literature review and document analysis to explore theoretical frameworks, best practices, and contextual applications. The findings indicate that effective curriculum development in Christian education involves three main stages: formulating content aligned with the vision and mission of Christian education, designing learning activities that foster students’ active participation and spiritual growth, and determining evaluation methods that comprehensively measure the achievement of learning objectives. Results also show that integrating Christian faith values with learning materials enhances contextual relevance and holistic student development, although challenges remain in adapting to the rapidly changing social and cultural environment. This study underscores the need for continuous curriculum review and adaptation to ensure that Christian education remains transformative and impactful.

Abstract

This research seeks to identify the effects of child sexual abuse and ways to address it. The following outline provides the answers: (1) Impact of Child Sexual Abuse: Children may suffer both physically and psychologically. Physical impacts include trauma to the genital area, sexually transmitted infections, and eating disorders. Psychological effects include depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), disturbances in eating and sexual behavior, loss of trust in adults, a sense of powerlessness, and stigmatization. (2) Efforts to Address Abuse: Multiple stakeholders are involved in addressing child sexual abuse, such as counselors, parents, schools and legal institutions. (3) Legal Action as Social Engineering: Legal measures can serve as tools for social transformation by producing and enforcing laws that promote social justice. These legal instruments must be understood, respected, and supported by society. Legislators must uphold the integrity of the law, free from external influence, and involve interdisciplinary perspectives in the development of legal frameworks.
