Abstract

The formulation of the research problem is whether the application of the student facilitator and explaining learning model can activate the learning of Civics students in the class of SMA Negeri 1 Sipispis. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of four stages, namely planning (planning), action (acting), observation (observing), and reflection (reflecting). The research subjects were students of class XI IPS 1 of SMA Negeri 1 Sipispis totaling 30 students consisting of 18 female students and 12 male students. To obtain this field data, the author uses data collection techniques in the form of observation sheets and tests. The data analysis technique was carried out after the data was obtained from the test results by calculating the level of student learning activity and calculating student learning completeness. Based on the results of the study, it was found that learning activities using the Student Facilitator and Explaining learning model obtained an average result of learning activities in the first cycle of 43.7 with sufficient criteria and in the second cycle the average student activity was 75 with good criteria. Based on data analysis on student learning outcomes, in the first cycle obtained an average of 46.6% with less criteria. In Cycle II, student learning outcomes increased with an average score of 80 with good criteria. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an increase in teacher activity and student learning activities in class XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Sipispis by using the Student Facilitator and Explaining learning model.

Abstract

Tujuan dilaksanakannya pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah (1) melatih guru dalam menambah wawasan tentang tindak pidana korupsi di sekolah, (2) melatih dan membimbing guru menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis masalah sebagai metode pembelajaran yang tepat. Sasaran keluaran dari kegiatan ini adalah guru dapat menerapkan sendiri pembelajaran berbasis masalah sehingga proses belajar mengajar menjadi menyenangkan dan mudah dipahami siswa. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan ini meliputi empat tahap, yaitu: (1) pendahuluan, (2) sosialisasi, (3) pelatihan dan (4) penyerbaran kuisioner. Peserta pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah guru-guru bidang studi PKn di SD PAB 34 Patumbak Deli Serdang. Berdasarkan pengamatan terhadap aktivitas peserta, diketahui bahwa semua peserta mengikuti pelatihan dengan baik. Kemudian, berdasarkan hasil kuisioner, seluruh peserta memberikan respon yang sangat positif terhadap kegiatan ini. Melalui sosialisai dan pelatihan pemecahan masalah korupsi sebagai pencegahan tindak pidana melalui metode pembelajaran berbasis masalah akhirnya kembali memotivasi guru untuk menerapkan berbagai metode pembelajaran yang kreatif dan inovatif.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find out how the English proficiency of UMNAW postgraduate students was measured with the TOEFL test consisted of three main sections; Listening Comprehension, Structure and Written Expression, and Reading Comprehension. The researcher used a descriptive qualitative research design in which the researcher described and analyzed students’ English proficiency based on the TOEFL test. The fourth-year postgraduate students of the Indonesian Language Education Study Program in the Academic Year 2021/2022 total of 10 people the population of the research. Based on the research findings, it can be classified that in Listening Comprehension Section one student got the highest score 28 and one students got the lowest score of 18. In the Structure and Written Expression Section, one student got the highest score 24 and one student got the lowest score of 15. In Reading Comprehension Section, one student got the highest score 28 and one student got the lowest score of 19.  After being converted, one student got the highest score 453 and one student got the lowest score 440. Furthermore, it can be classified that UMNAW postgraduate students taking the TOEFL test are at a Low Intermediate level. This research is then expected to be a reference for further research and can be more perfectly developed.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in students' understanding in respecting the equality of citizens. The subjects in this study were class X ACCOUNTING students at SMK NEGERI I KUTACANE consisting of 20 students in one class of boys and girls. This research was conducted using classroom action research (CAR), which consisted of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data analysis technique used in this research is quantitative. Quantitative data obtained from cycle I and cycle II tests. The data were analyzed from cycle I and cycle II. The results showed that there was an increase in students' abilities in direct learning, this showed that the average value of the first cycle was 76 and the second cycle score was 79.5.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the influence of the online learning system on the professionalism of the performance of lecturers at the university, which has around 300 staff from Kopertis, Foundation, and Extraordinary. As a percentage of educational qualifications, 85% have received a master's degree. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive research method with data collection carried out through literature studies, observation, document analysis, and literature studies. The results of the study show that leadership is still considered the dominant factor influencing the success and failure of an organization. Lecturer professionalism is stated if the lecturer fulfils the lecturer's workload, which includes main activities: planning, process implementation, evaluation of learning outcomes, guidance and training, and conducting research. In addition, carrying out additional duties and community service. The Covid-19 era that hit Indonesia has also changed the perception and implementation regarding the professionalism of the performance of lecturers. The university issued guidelines on preventing Covid-19 by making nine policy steps, namely extending distance lectures until the even semester of the 2019/2020 academic year, providing special treatment for students who experience difficulties in online remote lectures such as network disruptions (among other things can be replaced by learning through modules, assignments to make scientific work and others), guidance activities and implementation of proposal seminars are carried out through online facilities and may meet face to face with due observance of Covid-19 handling standards and the maximum number of attendees is five people namely two supervisors, one examiner as well as students attending green table sessions and the head of the study program.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the improvement in Civics learning outcomes on theme 1 (growth and development of living things) sub-theme 1 (characteristics of living things) in class III students at SDN 104211 Marindal in the 2023 academic year. This research is a type of classroom action research (CAR). ) which consists of three cycles and four stages. Each cycle includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection. This stage is a cycle that takes place repeatedly and is carried out with the same steps and is focused on the project based learning (PjBL) learning model. The subjects of this research are teachers (researchers) who conduct research in implementing the project based learning (PjBL) learning model. The data collection technique used is observation while students are following the learning process and using tests in the form of questions carried out at the end of the cycle as well as documentation during learning activities. The results of this research show that there is an increase in students' Civics learning outcomes using the project based learning (PjBL) learning model in each cycle. This increase can be seen looking at the cycles that have been carried out. In the first cycle, student learning outcomes reached 65.38% of 26 students, only 17 students completed. Furthermore, in cycle II there was an increase in learning outcomes reaching 76.92% completeness and only 6 were incomplete. Furthermore, in cycle III there was an increase in learning outcomes reaching 92.30% and only 2 were incomplete. The conclusion of this research is that efforts to use the project based learning model can improve Civics learning outcomes for class III students at SDN 104211 Marindal.

Abstract

This research aims to determine learning through: (1) student learning outcomes before using the make a match learning model in Mathematics subjects in class IV of Abdi Sukma Private Elementary School, Medan Johor District. (2) Application of the make a match learning model in mathematics subjects in class IV of Abdi Sukma Private Elementary School, Medan Johor District. (3) Student learning outcomes after using the make a match learning model in Mathematics subjects in class IV of the Abdi Sukma Private Elementary School, Medan Johor District. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with the subjects of this research being fourth grade students at Abdi Sukma Private Elementary School, Medan Johor District. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the results before implementing the make a match learning model obtained an average teacher activity result of 83.32% and an average student activity result of 80.08% and an average student learning result of 70%. Based on the results above, it can be concluded that the use of the make a match learning model can improve student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects, the material of recognizing Roman number symbols in class IV D Swasta Abdi Sukma, Medan Johor District.
