Abstract

Objectives – This study aims to test the effect of the work environment on the performance of the transport workers and test the effect of job satisfaction on the performance of transportation workers employees. Design/methodology/approach – This study uses quantitative methods. Sampling techniques are generally carried out randomly, data collection uses research instruments, data analysis is quantitative/statistical with the aim of testing predetermined hypotheses. Practical implications – This study recommends that expected to add references and discourses to develop knowledge about human resource management, especially those related to the work environment and job satisfaction and their impact on employee performance. Originality/value – This study provides to job satisfaction with indicators Satisfaction with salary, Satisfaction with working conditions, Satisfaction with coworkers, Satisfaction with supervisors, Satisfaction with the work itself to detail, results-oriented, human-oriented, team-oriented, aggressiveness and stability affect the performance of the Kairatu Public Health Center, then the hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh human relation terhadap kinerja pegawai, dengan etos kerja sebagai variabel mediasi pada kantor Badan Pengelola Pajak dan Retribusi Daerah kota Ambon. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan pendekatan probabilitas sampling dengan metode simple random dan penentuan ukuran sampel menggunakan rumus slovin sehingga diperoleh sampel sebanyak 44 responden. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah PLS-SEM dengan bantuan software SmartPLS 3yang terdiri atas analisis model pengukuran (outer model) dan model struktural (inner model) untuk menguji validitas, reliabilitas, dan hubungan antar variabel laten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa human relation berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, human relation berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap etos kerja, Etos Kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Lebih lanjut Etos kerja terbukti mampu memediasi secara signifikan human relation terhadap kinerja pegawai.

Abstract

The concept of work-life balance has undergone significant evolution in recent decades, reflecting shifting priorities and values in human resource management practices. This literature review explores the dynamic nature of work-life balance and its redefinition within contemporary organizational contexts. Drawing on scholarly works published from 2019 onwards, the review synthesizes key themes and trends surrounding work-life balance, encompassing factors such as technology integration, flexible work arrangements, and organizational culture. The analysis highlights the increasing emphasis placed on employee well-being and satisfaction, as organizations recognize the integral role of work-life balance in enhancing productivity and fostering a positive workplace environment. Moreover, the review examines the challenges and opportunities associated with achieving work-life balance amidst evolving societal norms and economic landscapes. By elucidating current perspectives and empirical findings, this paper contributes to a nuanced understanding of work-life balance dynamics and informs strategic approaches to human resource management in contemporary organizations.
