Abstract

This study intends to enhance the writing abilities of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Gunungsitoli Utara through the construction of media pictures and the implementation of project-based learning learning models. This research is being developed through research (R&D). Researchers employed a questionnaire approach to gather data. Based on the study's findings, it can be concluded that project-based learning models and media pictures can help SMP Negeri 2 Gunungsitoli Utara class VIII students write explanatory texts more effectively.

Abstract

The goal of this project is to create a discovery learning-based junior high school curriculum for Indonesian LKPD class VIII students that covers the subject matter "Writing Stories Manuscripts" and is appropriate for use in the classroom. This form of study is called development research and it has three stages: requirements assessment, design, and development and implementation. It uses a product-oriented learning paradigm. In order to examine the viability of LKPD, validation questionnaires for material experts, linguists, and design experts, as well as student response surveys, were used. By gathering quantitative and qualitative data from each validator and the students, data analysis was accomplished.

Abstract

Analysis of the use of media images in writing poetry with qualitative methods with observation, test and interview techniques. This research was conducted on class X IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Lotu. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the effectiveness of media images in writing poetry and how students are able to write poetry using media images. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of media images in writing poetry and to determine students' ability to write poetry using media images. The results of the study show that the use of media images can generate desire, motivation, stimulation and generate ideas for students in writing poetry, besides that it is also able to attract students' interest and provide good skills in writing poetry.

Abstract

This research was conducted to describe students’ responses in using Dokansi media on fable text material, and the Dokansi’s eligibility as a media on learning fable text material. Using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) methodology, this type of research is known as Development (Research and Development) research. However, the application and evaluation of this research are limited by the information gathered from experts in the media, literature, and academia. This research project was carried out at SMPN. 2 Gunungsitoli. A questionnaire is used to collect data. The subjects in this study were class VII-A. This method is carried out to collect the results of the study and assessment of students’ responses to the media used.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve students' ability to write effective sentences through the assignment model. Writing is a thinking process skill in expressing ideas that are poured in written form to describe something (imaginative and factual). This thinking process includes the process of how ideas are generated, and is focused on certain ideas that are relevant and interrelated. Often found in learning, especially in Indonesian lessons, when the teacher asks students to write a sentence in front of the class, many students are less able to write both in terms of diction and in terms of the written language, this happens because students lack practice and do not have motivation. in doing activities in writing. Therefore, teachers need to find solutions to solve the problems mentioned above by using one of the learning methods, namely by using the assignment method to improve student learning outcomes in using effective sentences. Abstract

The problem in this study is that students are less able to analyze language in biographical texts. Therefore, researchers apply the Jigsaw learning model to overcome this problem. The purpose of this lesson is to improve students' ability to analyze language in biographical texts using the Jigsaw model. The subjects of this study were the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli, totaling 24 people, 14 boys and 10 girls. This research uses classroom action assessment (PTK) with the implementation procedures are planning, action, observation and reflection. From the results of the study, the values obtained in cycle I with the lowest value were 30 and the highest value was 90 with an average value of 62.08% and in cycle II the lowest value was 60 and the highest value was 95 with an average value of 86.45%. The results of observations of students in the first cycle of the first meeting with an average value of 62.17% and the second meeting 70.19% and the second cycle of the first meeting with an average value of 84.73% and the second meeting 91.34%. The results of observations of researchers in cycle I first meeting with an average value of 61.54% and the second meeting 69.23% and in cycle II the first meeting with an average value of 83.33% and the second meeting 92.30%. Based on this research, it can be concluded that using the Jigsaw learning model can improve the ability to analyze aspects of linguistic meaning in biographical texts in class X SMK Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli 2022/2023 Academic Year.

Abstract

This classroom action research aimed to improve students’ ability in writing modern poetry through the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in class VIII-A of UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Sirombu during the 2024/2025 academic year. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 32 students, comprising 10 boys and 22 girls. Data were collected through observation, written tests, field notes, and documentation, then analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The findings revealed a significant improvement in students’ writing performance. In the first cycle, the average score was 54%, with many students still categorized as “poor.” After revisions in the second cycle, the average score increased to 89%, with the majority of students reaching the “very good” category. Students also showed greater activeness and creativity in expressing ideas through poetry. The results indicate that PjBL not only enhances students’ writing skills in terms of theme, diction, and depth of meaning but also improves motivation, participation, and collaborative learning. Therefore, PjBL can be considered an effective instructional model for teaching Indonesian language and literature, particularly in developing students’ creative writing skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) terhadap kemampuan menulis puisi siswa kelas VIII SMP Swasta Idanoi. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Hasil pre-test menunjukkan kemampuan awal siswa pada kelas kontrol (42,72) dan kelas eksperimen (44,50) relatif sebanding. Setelah perlakuan, nilai post-test siswa di kelas eksperimen meningkat signifikan dengan rata-rata 70,13, lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol sebesar 55,92. Uji hipotesis menghasilkan nilai signifikan (2-tailed) 0,001 < 0,05 sehingga Ha diterima. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa penerapan model CIRC berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan menulis puisi. Oleh karena itu, model CIRC direkomendasikan sebagai strategi pembelajaran yang efektif dalam pengajaran keterampilan menulis, khususnya pada materi puisi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) terhadap kemampuan menulis puisi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Bawolato. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen. Hasil pre-test menunjukkan kemampuan awal siswa relatif sebanding antara kelas eksperimen (rata-rata 62,54) dan kelas kontrol (64,80). Setelah perlakuan, nilai post-test kelas eksperimen meningkat signifikan dengan rata-rata 81,51, lebih tinggi dibanding kelas kontrol dengan rata-rata 73,96. Penerapan model PjBL terbukti menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang mendorong siswa untuk aktif, berpikir kritis, serta mengekspresikan ide melalui proyek yang diberikan. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,001 < 0,05, sehingga Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model PjBL berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi siswa.
