Abstract

Tasawuf or also called by Sufism is an integral part of Islamic religious knowledge which is particularly served in traditional even in modern conditions nowadays. A case study was done in this research in order to capture all of natural phenomenon happened in six different Islamic boarding schools in East Kalimantan particularly in Sabilarrasyad, Darul Ihsan, and An-Nur Islamic boarding schools in Samarinda, Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjari Islamic boarding school in Balikpapan, and Darul Quran wa Tarbiyah and Al Hidayah Islamic boarding schools in Kutai Kartanegara. Specifically, direct observation, semi-structured interview, as well as document study were applied in this research in order to figure out the implementation of teaching and learning of Tasawuf particularly in terms of curriculum applied, materials and media used, methods and evaluation utilized at above Islamic boarding schools. As the result, the essentials of teaching and learning of Tasawuf is directed through hidden curriculum particularly inserted in Akhlak materials taught by the teachers or what so called by Asatidz and Asatidzah at all Islamic boarding schools investigated in this research. Additionally, traditional patterns of Islamic teaching and learning of Akhlak materials are applied i.e. Bandungan, Sorogan, and Wetonan as well as conventional learning steps including Tarjamah, Pendhabitan Harakat, Imlak, Mutholaah, and Memorizing methods. Small difference in terms of media used among those Islamic boarding schools does not lead to significant highlighted aspect since all of the Kitab used is contained about Akhlak or particularly regarding with how to build positive characters, behavior, and attitude of the students. Finally, future implication is also served and discussed in this research.

Abstract

Religious tourism was a religious activity that intends to visit historical places. This activity also aimed to get closer to Allah SWT. This religious tourism object expected to invite many tourist interests because there layed person who was loved by Allah. The object was grave of Datu Tunggang Parangan located in Kutai Lama village, East Borneo. There was a history, where this cleric was the first cleric that entered Borneo. The purpose of this research was to make an effort to introduce one of the religious tourism object, and also apply the management strategy to promote the site of Datu Tunggang Parangan in order to get more visitors. The effort by marketing strategy either social media or verbally. Besides, there are also Erau, a cultural attraction that held and became a main attraction in Kutai Kartanegara. Therefore, this cultural attraction can assist to invite many people to visit the grave of Datu Tunggang Parangan. The data collection technique were interview and documentation. Abstract

Ilmu pengetahuan dengan agama mempunyai nilai nilai relevansi sehingga tidak ada dikotomi antara keduanya. Banyak tokoh yang mempunyai gagasan terkait relevansi salah satunya adalah BJ. Habibie. BJ. Habibie merupakan tokoh pemimpin dan Ilmuan teknologi yang mempunyai gagasan terkait Integrasi IPTEK dan IMTAQ. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan terkait Relevansi Ilmu pengetahuan dengan agama melalui perpektif BJ.Habibie. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kepustakaan dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskrpftif dan historis biografik. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi. Sedangkan teknik analisis data mengggunakan analisis isi, deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini berdasarkan pemikiran BJ. Habibie terkait relevansi Ilmu pengetahuan dengan Agama ialah BJ. Habibie mempunyai pandangan bahwa (a) Al Quran sebagai pedoman (b) Pembersihan otak melalui Ibadah (c) Produktivitas lahir dari sinergi IMTAQ, IPTEK dan budaya (d) Agama memberi toleransi pada Ilmu pengetahuan (e) Penguasaan Ilmu melalui pendidikan (f) Implikasi terhadap pendidikan Islam di Indonesia

Abstract

This study investigates the integration of Islamic and general education at three State Islamic Junior High Schools (MTs Negeri) in East Kalimantan; MTs Negeri 1 Balikpapan, MTs Negeri 1 Paser, and MTs Negeri 1 Kutai Kartanegara, to analyze the forms, processes, and impacts. Employing a qualitative methodology with a multi-site case study and phenomenological approach, data were collected through outdoor-indoor class observations, interviews with 13 teachers including principals, curriculum developers, and subject teachers, as well as document analysis of teaching modules, the Adiwiyata module, and the P2RA module. The integration was manifested in three main forms; curricular integration, by linking themes of aqidah akhlak into general subjects through teaching modules; social program integration, such as Adiwiyata; and the P2RA program. This process was framed within the Merdeka Curriculum by operationalizing the paradigm of integration-interconnection of knowledge and implemented through project-based learning aligned with multiple intelligences, enabling students to internalize values cognitively, affectively, and psychomotorically through diverse activities. Evaluation was conducted comprehensively, covering cognitive aspects (tests), affective aspects (attitude observation), and psychomotor aspects (practical performance). The integration also strengthens students’ religious character through behavioral transformation, deeper appreciation of values, and the ability to internalize them in both the educational environment and daily life. The noble character was developed through strategies of habituation, reflection, role modeling, and environmental support. The integration of Islamic and general education is not merely theoretical but also could be applied as a practical model for shaping a generation that excels academically while maintaining strong religious character.
