Abstract

The objective of this study was to improve the students’ ability in counting as one of the mathematics lesson of the second grade students of SDN 003 Rantau Pulung through marbles and gravels. This is a classroom action research which has a goal to improve the quality of education. The instruments used in this study were a mathematics test and classroom observation. The criteria of success were (1) the students’ average score, 70, and (2) the students participation, 75%. The result of the study shows that in cycle 1, the criteria of success did not achieve yet. In cycle 2, it shows that the criteria of success has been fulfilled. It shows that 75% of the students were active in the teaching and learning process and the students’ average score can be improve from 58.50 in cycle 1 became 73.00 in cycle 2.

Abstract

Brides-to-be (CATIN) are the foundation of a family. Before marriage, brides-to-be need to prepare their health condition to ensure a healthy pregnancy, give birth to healthy future generations, and create a quality family. Knowledge of brides-to-be (CATIN) about stunting is crucial to prevent health problems in children. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge of brides-to-be (CATIN) about stunting at KUA Wedi. The study employed a quantitative descriptive method with a cross-sectional approach. Data were collected using a questionnaire with a total sample of 32 respondents selected through a total sampling technique. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the data. The findings revealed that knowledge based on age 20–35 years consisted of 47% of respondents with good knowledge and 47% with poor knowledge. Based on education, 50% of respondents with a secondary education level had poor knowledge. Most respondents who were working had poor knowledge at 47%. From the perspective of nutritional status, 38% of respondents with normal nutritional status had good knowledge. Experience in obtaining information influenced the level of knowledge; 53% of respondents who never received information had poor knowledge, while respondents who received information through mobile phones predominantly had good knowledge at 53%. In conclusion, the level of knowledge of brides-to-be (CATIN) at KUA Wedi about stunting was categorized as poor at 50%, fair at 3%, and good at 47%. ABSTRAKCalon pengantin (CATIN) merupakan awal terbentuknya keluarga. Sebelum menikah, calon pengantin perlu mempersiapkan kondisi kesehatan agar dapat menjalani kehamilan sehat, melahirkan generasi penerus yang sehat, dan menciptakan keluarga berkualitas. Pengetahuan calon pengantin (CATIN) perempuan tentang stunting sangat penting untuk mencegah masalah kesehatan pada anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan calon pengantin (CATIN) perempuan mengenai stunting di KUA Wedi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner, dengan total sampel sebanyak 32 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik total sampling. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan berdasarkan usia 20–35 tahun terdiri dari 47% responden dengan pengetahuan baik dan 47% dengan pengetahuan kurang. Berdasarkan pendidikan, 50% responden dengan pendidikan menengah memiliki pengetahuan kurang. Sebagian besar responden yang bekerja memiliki pengetahuan kurang sebesar 47%. Dari status gizi, 38% responden dengan gizi normal memiliki pengetahuan baik. Pengalaman mendapatkan informasi memengaruhi tingkat pengetahuan; 53% responden yang tidak pernah mendapatkan informasi memiliki pengetahuan kurang, sedangkan responden yang mendapatkan informasi melalui HP mayoritas memiliki pengetahuan baik sebesar 53%. Kesimpulannya, tingkat pengetahuan calon pengantin (CATIN) perempuan di KUA Wedi mengenai stunting adalah kurang sebesar 50%, cukup sebesar 3%, dan baik sebesar 47%.

Abstract

Marriage is the beginning of healthy reproduction. The large number of divorce phenomena in teenage marriages and unhealthy pregnancies have increased maternal morbidity and mortality. This Community Service provides religious premarital education, conflict management psychology and healthy pregnancy preparation at the Karanganom Klaten health center. This Community Service uses lecture, question and answer and role play methods which will be completed on 1-3 July 2023. The target is teenage couples who are about to get married. The results of the service were obtained as many as 30 premarital couple participants took part in the Bride and Groom Candidate (Catin) class. It was found that the prospective bride and groom's knowledge before the catin training activity at the Karanganom Community Health Center was found to be 45.01 ± 11.24. After the catin training was carried out, the respondent's knowledge increased by 78.88 ± 12.61. The results of statistical tests show that there is a significant increase in knowledge. This means that youth training in marriage preparation is effective for prospective brides and grooms. This activity can be a community-based pre-marital education option that can be carried out independently or as part of an existing community empowerment initiative, such as a youth posyandu or youth organization.

Abstract

Background: Early detection of breast cancer can be carried out through Breast Self-Examination (BSE), which helps identify any lumps or abnormalities in the breast. However, a lack of awareness about BSE among adolescents affects their ability to perform it correctly. Educating young women about BSE through leaflet media can significantly enhance their knowledge and attitudes toward it. This activity aims to provide SADARI education based on leaflets to young women in Polonharjo Village and to monitor changes in knowledge and attitudes through pre- and post-session assessments. Methods The SADARI education programme based on leaflets (±20 minutes) was given to 75 adolescent girls, with measurements of knowledge (structured questionnaire) and attitude (Likert scale) before and after the session. Data were summarised descriptively and analysed in pairs. Results: The results revealed a significant increase in the average knowledge score, which rose from 13.92 to 21.53 after the intervention. Similarly, the average attitude score increased from 43.61 to 62.63. The test indicated a significant improvement in knowledge post-intervention. Conclusion: Providing education about Breast Self-Examination (BSE) through leaflet media effectively enhances the knowledge and attitudes of young women in X Village regarding breast health.

Abstract

Menstruation is an important phase in the lives of adolescent girls that requires adjustment, particularly in maintaining personal hygiene. This phenomenon is often considered taboo, and the lack of adequate education and facilities, especially for adolescents with disabilities, leads to low knowledge and poor hygiene practices. This study aims to describe the knowledge of adolescent girls regarding personal hygiene during menstruation at SLB B YAAT Klaten, with a focus on age characteristics, menarche experience, and the sources of information used. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach and a descriptive design involving the entire population of adolescent girls who have experienced menstruation at SLB B YAAT Klaten. Data were collected from 40 respondents through a questionnaire and were analyzed descriptively using frequency distribution and percentages. The results showed that the majority of respondents were in early adolescence (ages 10-13 years) at 47.5%, with 52.5% of respondents having experienced menarche. Most respondents obtained health information from their parents (100%), with good knowledge levels in early adolescents at 37.5% and among those who have experienced menarche at 47.5%. The conclusion of this study highlights the significant role of parents in enhancing knowledge about menstrual personal hygiene among deaf adolescent girls. The research recommends the development of inclusive reproductive health education programs, collaboration between schools and healthcare providers, as well as active parental involvement in supporting hygiene behaviors during menstruation. It is hoped that these efforts will increase awareness and improve adolescent girls' knowledge of reproductive health from an early age. ABSTRAKMenstruasi merupakan suatu fase penting dalam kehidupan remaja putri/siswi yang memerlukan penyesuaian, terutama dalam aspek menjaga kebersihan diri (personal hygiene). Fenomena ini sering kali dianggap tabu, dan minimnya edukasi serta fasilitas yang memadai, khususnya bagi remaja putri/siswi penyandang disabilitas, menyebabkan rendahnya pengetahuan serta praktik kebersihan yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran pengetahuan remaja putri/siswi tentang personal hygiene saat menstruasi di SLB B YAAT Klaten, dengan fokus pada karakteristik usia, pengalaman menarche, dan sumber informasi yang digunakan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan desain deskriptif pada populasi seluruh remaja putri/siswi di SLB B YAAT Klaten. Data diambil dari 40 responden melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan menggunakan distribusi frekuensi dan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden berusia remaja awal (10-13 tahun) sebanyak 47,5%, serta 52,5% responden sudah mengalami menarche. Sebagian besar responden memperoleh informasi kesehatan dari orang tua (100%), dengan pengetahuan baik pada remaja awal sebanyak 37,5% dan pada responden yang sudah mengalami menarche sebanyak 47,5%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah peran orang tua sangat signifikan dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang personal hygiene menstruasi pada remaja putri/siswi tuna rungu. Penelitian ini menyarankan perlunya pengembangan program edukasi kesehatan reproduksi yang inklusif, kolaborasi antara sekolah dan tenaga kesehatan, serta peran aktif orang tua dalam mendukung perilaku kebersihan selama menstruasi. Hal ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan remaja putri/siswi (tuna rungu) mengenai kesehatan reproduksi sejak dini.

Abstract

Early marriage remains a major public health concern in Indonesia, largely influenced by adolescents’ limited understanding of the concept of marriage age maturity. Strengthening reproductive health literacy through structured educational interventions is essential to prevent premature marriage decisions. This study aims to determine the effect of health education delivered through animated video media on the knowledge of female students regarding marriage age maturity (Pendewasaan Usia Perkawinan—PUP) at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Klaten Utara. This research employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest–posttest design. A total of 98 students were selected using proportional stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and an educational animated video developed specifically for the intervention. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test was used to analyze changes in knowledge before and after the intervention. The results showed an increase in the mean score from 76.69 (pretest) to 93.94 (posttest). Statistical testing indicated a significant effect of video-based health education on students’ knowledge (p-value = 0.000). The findings demonstrate that animated video media can serve as an effective educational tool to enhance adolescents’ understanding of marriage age maturity and may be integrated into school-based reproductive health programs. ABSTRAKKurangnya pemahaman siswi mengenai pendewasaan usia perkawinan (PUP) menjadi faktor utama terjadinya pernikahan dini. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk memberikan pemahaman mengenai pendewasaan usia perkawinan (PUP) yaitu dengan melakukan pendidikan kesehatan. Penyampaian pesan melalui media video animasi dapat lebih memudahkan responden untuk memahamai pesan yang ingin disampaikan dalam pendidikan kesehatan tentang pendewasaan usia perkawinan (PUP). Mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan melalui media video terhadap tingkat pengetahuan siswi tentang pendewasaan usia perkawinan di SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Klaten Utara. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif. Rancangan Pre- Experimental Design, dengan One Grup Pre Test dan Post Test. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa-siswi kelas X dan XI dengan jumlah sampel 98 responden. Teknik samling menggunakan Proportional Stratified Random Sampling. Pengambilan data menggunkan kuesioner. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah uji Wilcoxon Signed Ranks. Didapatkan rata-rata skor pengetahuan pendewasaan usia perkawinan sebelum diberikan pendidikan kesehatan yaitu 76,69 dan rata-rata skor sesudah diberikan pendidikan kesehatan yaitu 93,94 sehingga terdapat kenaikan skor rata-rata pengetahuan siswi sebesar 17,25 dengan hasil uji Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test p-value 0,000 < 0,05 yang artinya ada pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan melalui media video terhadap tingkat pengetahuan siswi tentang pendewasaan usia perkawinan di SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Klaten Utara. Ada pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan melalui media video terhadap tingkat pengetahuan siswi tentang pendewasaan usia perkawinan di SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Klaten Utara dengan nilai p-value = 0,000.
