Abstract

Obyek ekowisata Taman Bunga Matahari dan Camping Ground Tabingga Hills di Desa Uwemanje merupakan satu-satunya Taman bunga yang ada di Lembah Palu. Taman ini dibangun atas inisiatif beberapa pemuda yang tergabung dalam kelompok Pemuda Sadar Wisata (Darwis) Tabingga Hills. Olehnya itu, dalam rangka pengembangan ekowisata ini kedepan, maka perlu dilakukan pembinaan dan pemberdayaan kelompok pemuda DARWIS. Beberapa permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra yaitu; 1) Teknik budidaya bunga matahari maupun bunga lainnya yang masih sederhana, 2) Ketersediaan benih dan bibit bunga matahari dan bunga lainnya yang kurang, 3) Manajerial wirausaha dan pemasaran ekowisata yang belum professional. Olehnya itu perlu dicarikan solusi-solusi untuk menanganinya. Metode Pendekatan yang ditawarkan adalah dalam bentuk pendidikan dan pelatihan bagi mitra dengan menggunakan metode penyuluhan, pendampingan yang berupa bimbingan teknis dan pembinaan mitra dalam pembudidayaa bunga matahari maupun bunga lainnya mulai benih hingga panen, pembuatan pupuk organic. Hasil dan luaran kegiatan pengabdian yang telah dicapai adalah Terbangunnya Taman Bunga Matahari dan bunga lainnya dengan luas ±0,5 ha secara monokultur dengan berbagai varietas warna, Terbangunnya Lokasi Persemaian Khusus Bunga Matahari maupun bunga lainnya seluar 5m x 7m serta 1500 Bibit Bunga berbagai varietas serta media social sebagai sarana pemasaran

Abstract

Forestry plant nurseries are one of the efforts to support land rehabilitation activities that have been launched by the Government. Nursery activities not only contribute to environmental sustainability but are expected to provide many benefits both economically, environmentally, and socially. The seeds produced are expected to be used to rehabilitate and plant critical land, vacant land, and unproductive land. MPTS types of plants are currently widely used as plants for rehabilitation activities because they have financial advantages, namely high economic value, and are liked by the community. The service method used is counseling, training, and mentoring. Counseling and training include good MPTS plant nursery techniques so they can produce quality seeds, nurseries using quality/certified and selected seeds, using good planting media that can support nutrient availability for seedling growth and how to do top grafting on seedlings MPTS plants to obtain good and quality seeds. The results of the implementation of the Service Results Dissemination Program activities went well and smoothly with 100% realization of the activity. The counseling and training activities carried out included counseling on quality MPTs plant nursery techniques and for training activities carried out procedures for making solid organic fertilizer (compost) and top grafting techniques on MPTs plant seeds. Realization of activities can be seen from the successful shoot grafting seedlings.

Abstract

Abstrak: Perkembangan kawasan perkotaan di Kota Palu memunculkan tantangan dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan ruang hijau, sehingga diperlukan kajian spasial untuk memahami pola sebaran, kerapatan, distribusi, dan kecukupan ruang terbuka hijau publik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sebaran, kerapatan, pola distribusi, serta tingkat kecukupan. Ruang Terbuka Hijau Publik (RTHP) di Kota Palu memanfaatkan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG). Menggunakan analisis berbasis Sistem Informasi Geografis melalui tiga metode, yaitu kernel density, nearest neighbor analysis, dan analisis skoring deskriptif untuk menilai kondisi aktual serta ketimpangan penyediaan ruang hijau antarwilayah. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa Mantikulore dan Palu Selatan merupakan kawasan dengan konsentrasi RTH publik tertinggi, sedangkan Tawaeli, Palu Utara, dan Ulujadi memiliki kerapatan rendah. Nilai NNR < 1 menandakan pola persebaran RTH publik bersifat mengelompok, dengan titik-titik ruang hijau terfokus di kawasan tengah kota. Persentase luas RTH publik per kecamatan juga memperlihatkan ketimpangan, di mana Palu Selatan mencapai 8,95 persen dan Mantikulore 7,96 persen, sementara Tawaeli hanya 0,17 persen, Palu Utara 0,17 persen, dan Ulujadi 0,67 persen. Secara keseluruhan, rata-rata RTH publik Kota Palu hanya 1,03 persen, menegaskan perlunya strategi pengembangan ruang hijau yang lebih merata di seluruh wilayah. Abstract:  The development of urban areas in Palu City presents challenges in meeting the need for green space, necessitating a spatial study to understand the distribution patterns, density, and adequacy of Public Open Green Space. This research aims to analyze the distribution, density, distribution patterns, and adequacy levels. Public Green Open Space (RTHP) in Palu City using Geographic Information System (GIS). Using GIS-based analysis through three methods, namely kernel density, nearest neighbor analysis, and descriptive scoring analysis, to assess the current conditions and disparities in green space provision between regions. The results show that Mantikulore and South Palu are areas with the highest concentration of public green space, while Tawaeli, North Palu, and Ulujadi have low density. An NNR value < 1 indicates a clustered distribution pattern of public green spaces, with green space points concentrated in the central city area. The percentage of public green space area per sub-district also shows disparities, with South Palu reaching 8.95 percent and Mantikulore 7.96 percent, while Tawaeli is only 0.17 percent, North Palu 0.17 percent, and Ulujadi 0.67 percent. Overall, the average public green space in Palu City is only 1.03 percent, emphasizing the need for a more equitable green space development strategy across all areas.

Abstract

Vocabulary mastery is a fundamental component of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learning; however, preliminary observations at SMP Negeri 16 Palu revealed that many eighth-grade students still have limited vocabulary. Students experienced difficulties in understanding word meanings, identifying word classes, and using vocabulary appropriately in simple sentences, which negatively affected their participation, confidence, and comprehension in English learning. Therefore, this study aimed to find out the effectiveness of educational videos in improving students’ vocabulary mastery. This study employed a quantitative, quasi-experimental research design. The population consisted of 129 eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 16 Palu in the 2024/2025 academic year. The samples were class VIII C as the experimental group and class VIII E as the control group. The research instruments were vocabulary tests administered as pre- and post-tests, focusing on nouns, verbs, and adjectives. The collected data were analysed using a normality test, a homogeneity test, and an independent-samples t-test in SPSS version 24. The findings indicated that the experimental group achieved a higher mean post-test score (70.27) compared to the control group (58.93). The result of the independent samples t-test showed a significance value of 0.001, which was lower than 0.05, indicating a statistically significant difference between the two groups. These results demonstrate that the use of educational videos, particularly animated videos, effectively improves students’ vocabulary mastery.

Abstract

The growing complexity of environmental crises demands that education plays a strategic role in fostering ecological awareness and environmentally responsible character among younger generations. One relevant approach is the integration of Green-Constitution values— a set of principles emphasizing that environmental preservation is part of human rights, a collective responsibility of citizens, and a constitutional obligation of the state. These values include the right to a clean and healthy environment, active participation in environmental governance, ecological justice, and intergenerational sustainability. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of a learning approach that integrates Green-Constitution values with Deep Learning strategies in shaping environmental awareness and responsibility among students at SMAN Model Terpadu Madani Palu. The methodology involved pre-test and post-test assessments of 101 respondents, complemented by qualitative descriptive analysis of student responses. Initial findings revealed that students had a basic understanding of the right to a healthy environment, yet lacked a comprehensive connection to constitutional aspects and sustainable development goals. Following the implementation of value-based and reflective learning, there was a significant improvement in conceptual understanding, critical ecological awareness, and pro-environmental attitudes. These were manifested in real behavioral changes such as bringing reusable water bottles, sorting waste, planting trees, and conserving energy at school. The findings indicate that the integration of Green-Constitution values and Deep Learning is effective in systematically and contextually cultivating students’ ecological character.

Abstract

Land use regulation and soil and water conservation techniques need to be intensified to minimize the impact of climate change, especially in controlling floods, erosion and landslides. The purpose of this service is to provide education to the public in efforts to mitigate the impact of climate change through environmentally friendly soil and water conservation technology. The method used in this service is a participatory educational and training method or educational and participatory approach with extension activities, training and technical guidance. The results of the service implementation have been carried out, namely: preparation, introduction of activities, implementation of counseling/training on the material: a) The benefits of increasing land productivity through soil and water conservation techniques and b) Introduction and several soil and water conservation techniques, namely vegetative techniques and terrace construction. the contours of the A frame model, in addition, an evaluation is carried out. Service activities provide benefits in increasing land productivity and assisting in planting arrangements according to contour lines and as a basis for making terraces.

Abstract

Indonesia, yang terdiri dari banyak pulau, sangat rentan terhadap perubahan iklim. Peristiwa alam seperti gempa bumi, tsunami, letusan gunung berapi, banjir, kekeringan, dan lainnya adalah akibat dari perubahan iklim. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat pengaruh media video animasi terhadap kesiapsiagaan Bencana banjir pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 10 Sigi . Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode Pre –eksperimental one group pretest dan posttest, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel dengan sampling jenuh , sampel dalam penilitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI ips SMA Negeri 10 Sigi yang berjumlah 36 orang dari satu kelas dengan menggunakan analisis regresi dengan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana, uji T, dan uji determinasi R-square.  Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa sebelum diberikan media video animasi tingkat kesiapsiagaan siswa masuk pada kategori “Kurang siap” dengan persentase (52,7%) ,kemudian setelah diberikan media video animasi tingkat kesiapsiagaan siswa masuk dalam kategori “Siap” dengan persentase (77,6%) . Nilai signifikansi regresi 0,000 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05 dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh media video animasi terhadap kesiapsiagaan bencana banjir pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 10 Sigi
