Abstract

OF REAL EXCHANGE RATE EQUILIBRIUM IN INDONESIA  The purpose of this research is to verify the linkages between the fundamental economic variables in both real and monetary sectors, and the Behaviour Equilibrium Exchange Rate (BEER) in Indonesia. The data analysis used is the secondary data (time series), and the estimated data usage is the monthly data about the real exchange starting from January 2009 until January 2013. Samples 60 units, and the model of analysis used is the BEER model. The result of this study indicated that the Behaviour Equilibrium Exchange Rate (BEER) is influenced by the real sector variables (the terms of trade, productivity, and risk) with the very unsignificant value at the level of 1,17%, and the monetary sector variables (net foreign assets (NFA), and the difference between domestic and foreign interest rates) which very significantly influenced the BEER at the level of 90,19%.Keywords: Fundamental, Economy, Real, Monetary

Indonesia is the 4th most populous country in the world after China, India and the United States. So that Indonesia is included in one of the developing countries in the world. However, in scientific publications, Indonesia ranks 48th in the world. This encourages researchers' interest in assessing the psychological condition of Indonesian university students in writing, because writing skills are not only cognitive but also emotional activities. The purpose of this study was to describe the anxiety conditions of students at MTs Negeri 2 Medan in writing and to examine the differences between experienced and non-experienced students. This type of research is descriptive, the research sample is 362 students consisting of 17.9% male and 82.1% female. The data was collected using a writing apprehension scale, consisting of 26 statements of anxiety about writing in general that were given online. The research data were analyzed using the Rasch model by testing variable maps, and subtotal specifications. The findings discovers that students who have never written will experience more writing anxiety than students who have had writing experience. In addition, teacher feedback is also one of the factors that influence students' writing anxiety, negative reactions by teachers and continuing to blame students will affect students' writing experiences in the future.

Abstract

Monetary policy is a crucial tool used by central banks to control key economic variables such as interest rates and economic stability. This study aims to explore the impact of monetary policy on interest rates and economic stability across various countries. Utilizing data from multiple periods and applying econometric analysis methods, this research finds that changes in monetary policy significantly affect interest rates and, in turn, impact economic stability. The results indicate that tight monetary policy, characterized by increased interest rates, tends to reduce inflation but may slow down economic growth in the short term. Conversely, loose monetary policy, with lower interest rates, can stimulate economic growth but risks increasing inflation. This study also highlights the importance of clear and credible communication from central banks to minimize uncertainty in financial markets and support economic stability. In conclusion, monetary policy plays a significant role in determining interest rates and maintaining economic stability. Central banks need to consider broader economic conditions and adopt a flexible and responsive approach to changes in both domestic and global economies.
