Abstract

Breastfeeding provides benefits for both mother and baby. Breasti imilk containsi imany nutrientsi ithat babiesi need ini ithe ifirst 6i (six) months after birth. There are factors that influence exclusive breastfeeding that can inhibit the secretion of the oxytocin hormone. One way to stimulate the oxytocin hormone and increase comfort is by oxytocin massage. The prolactin and oxytocin hormones play a very important role in the adequacy of breast milk production. One way to generate the let down reflex is by doing therapy acupressure. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of giving little finger acupressure and oxytocin massage to the output time and adequacy of breastfeeding in postpartum mothers at Panembahan Senopati Hospital, Bantul. The design of this research is the Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all postpartum mothers who experienced vaginal delivery at the Panembahan Senopati Hospital Bantul in 2021, as many as 166 people. The number of samples in this study was 70 postpartum mothers who met the inclusion criteria based on the calculation of the slovin formula. The results showed that acupressure had more effect on the time of output and the adequacy of breast milk than oxytocin massage for postpartum mothers at RSUD Panembahan Senopati Bantul.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang bagamaimana pengaruh kelas ayah terhadap pemenuhan gizi pada bayi resiko stunting di Kabupaten Sleman. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian percobaan (experiment research), sedangkan untuk pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh ayah yang memiliki bayi baru lahir resiko stunting di Kabupaten Sleman sebanyak 1231 orang yang diperoleh pada saat penelitian dilakukan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan gizi oleh ayah sebelum dan sesudah tanpa perlakuan kelas ayah (control) dengan nilai p-value sebesar 0,183 (p-value > 0,05). Ada pengaruh yang siginifikan terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan gizi oleh ayah sebelum diberikan kelas ayah dan sesudah diberikan kelas ayah dengan nilai p-value sebesar 0,000 (p-value > 0,05).

Abstract

The nutritional status of children is still low due to a lack of exclusive breastfeeding during infancy. Insufficient breast milk causes mothers to give complementary foods after giving birth. The research objective was to determine the effect of rolling massage and breast care during the third trimester of pregnancy on milk production. The research method used a quasy experiment with a post test only design with control group approach carried out in the working area of ​​the Balai Berkuak Health Center. The sampling method used is random sampling. Samples that met the inclusion criteria were 30 mothers. The sample was divided into 15 respondents in the intervention group and 15 respondents in the control group. Data analysis used univariate, bivariate and multivariate logistic regression. The results of the analysis of the smooth expulsion of breast milk by rolling massage and breast care during the third trimester of pregnancy showed that there was a significant relationship p = 0.003 (p <0.05). Nutrition has a partial effect on breastfeeding expenditure p=0.008 (p<0.05). Rolling massage and breast care during the third trimester of pregnancy on breastfeeding with mothers who were not intervened. The study showed that external psychological factors had a partial effect on breastfeeding, p = 0.025 (p <0.05). Rolling massage and breast care had a significant effect on p=0.002 (p<0.05), the most dominant had a 52 times chance of influencing milk production.
