Abstract

Every country, region, topography or appearance form of an area influences the pattern of life of its people, and also influences their way of life, let alone Indonesia which has thousands of islands, various tribes, ethnicities, languages, cultures, even religions. This also makes the customs and culture of society different, culture is created because of human existence. It is human beings who can shape their own culture and the people themselves who use that culture as well, therefore culture will always exist and develop along with the existence and development of humans in each region. Diversity in society is a necessity that cannot be separated from Indonesian national identity. diversity can be said to be the spirit and identity of the community which is a reference to the orientation of values, norms, rules, and guidelines for the daily behavior of members of society in living in groups and in personal life. Then the position of multicultural educators is essential in Islamic education that will be able to answer a problem that has been divided so far due to differences in ethnicity, language, religion, and culture. This multicultural education will be able to glue and also unite the differences of the people of a nation, especially this beloved Indonesian nation, which in fact has and has a variety of ethnic, ethnic, religious, linguistic and cultural communities. Kata Kunci: Development, Multikultural, Modern

Abstract

Each village must have a different tradition, culture, or habits. The tradition is also a local wealth owned by the nation, must always be maintained, preserved and also maintained so that the tradition is not extinct. No exception traditions that exist in the land of Java so much, such as the slametan tradition, both in the context of slametan event of pregnancy, marriage, circumcision or slametan tradition of death. Each has a certain way of doing it, although there are also some who have the same way. The Javanese slametan tradition in particular is the same as alms in the context of the Arabic language. So in a number of propositions both sourced from the Qur'an and the hadith are not explained in detail so that each region has a way and form a particular dish, so is not same between the form of dishes in East Java with Central Java, and so forth. Why is that, because this is influenced by the topography, history and also the hierarchy of each region. However, the context is the same magnitude that is almsgiving but the form is different. So in this case there is no need to debate between alms and slametan.

Abstract

This multicultural education is likened to a bridge to achieve life together with humanity in this globalization era full of challenges. The main purpose of multicultural Islamic education is to emphasize the whole environment or educational atmosphere, so that multicultural Islamic education can increase respect or attention to cultural groups that are very broad or different to get the same education, which is equal to most people in general. This research uses the library method by analyzing data from relevant journals and books. The results of this study indicate that multicultural education must be applied in various lines of education especially conflict prone areas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan Untuk 1) Mengetahui konsep metode diskusi dalam meningkatkan pemahaman pada pelajaran Fiqih pada siswa kelas X Sekolah Menengah Atas di Madrasah Nahdhatul Islamiah, Thailand Selatan, 2) Mengetahui faktor penghambatan dan pendukung dalam kosep metode diskusi dalam pembelajaran Fiqih pada siswa kelas X Sekolah Menengah Atas di Madrasah Nahdhatul Islamiah. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis kualitatif dengan studi kasus, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, teknik analisis adalah: Ketekunan Pengamat, dan Trianggulasi. Informan penelitian adalah kepala Madrasah/Sekolah, Guru pembelajaran Fiqih. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1) Metode diskusi dalam pembelajaran fiqih di Madrasah Nahdhatul Islamiah adalah dengan cara membentuk sistem kelompok, yang mana membagi siswa menjadi beberapa kelompok, peneliti menemukan hal yang meningkatkan motivasi belajar itu dengan menggunakan metode ini sangat didukung oleh siswa karena sebagai besar siswa lebih senang memecahkan materi pembelajaran fiqih yang sulit secara kelompok bersama teman- temanya , serta siswa banyak berinteraksi dengan siswa peserta diskusi lainnya, akan membiasakan siswa untuk dapat memecahkan masalah secara musyawarah yang nantinya akan mendapatkan jawaban yang memuaskan karena mendapat masukan dari teman-teman itu bukan berarti dengan berdiskusi dengan teman-temannya guru tidak meluruskan jawaban-jawaban yang ada, karena walau bagaimana kesimpulan yang diberikan guru terhadap jawaban-jawaban yang ada dapat memberikan keyakinan siswa dalam memahami hasil diskusi yang dilakukan, dan hal itu (membagi kelompok) dapat menjadikan siswa yang mandiri dan kritis. pelaksanaan diskusi ini harus dibimbing serta diawali oleh guru bidang studi yang bersangkutan dengan menerapkan sistem guru sebagai pengawas dan menfasilitasi siswa dalam melaksanakan diskusi kelompok, dalam hal ini guru harus memusatkan perhatian peserta didik pada tujuan dan topik diskusi, memperluas masalah atau urunan pendapat, mengganalisis pandangan peserta didik, berusaha meningkatkan partisipasi peserta didik dan menutup diskusi, Tetapi tidak semua mata pembelajaran yang menggunakan metode diskusi karena tidak cocok ataupun tergantung strategi guru dalam pembelajaran ingin menggunakan metode yang cocok dengan mata pembelajarannya.

Abstract

The role of the principal as a leader must be distinct from the existing leadership style. The leadership style of a top school influences teachers' good and bad performance in the school institution where they teach. The purpose of this article is to find out: (1) The leadership style of the principal of SDN 1 Munung. (2) Teacher Performance at SDN 1 Munung. This research uses a qualitative approach with the case study method, with a single case study type. Researchers used data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation, and concluding the data that has been presented and reduced in guaranteeing the validity of the data using triangulation techniques and sources. The results of the study concluded that the leadership of the principal of SD Negeri Munung uses two leadership styles, namely the authoritarian leadership style, in disciplining teachers in daily attendance and completing administration. In comparison, in the following leadership style, namely the democratic leadership style, the principal gives freedom for teachers to develop their abilities in various activities. Subsequent data found that the teacher's performance at SD Negeri Munung was beyond doubt because administrative completion was always early, complete and correct, so SD Negeri Munung was the only Impact school in Jatikalen that received the BOS Performance award.

Abstract

The principal as a leader, manager, and supervisor, must have stepped into the character education process. The principal as a determinant of the direction of education and policymakers have an important role so that character values are embedded in the school community. Education in essence gives birth to the concept of transferring experience to the students, the activities of transferring experience and its development then occupy a special place in the teaching and learning process. MI Nizhamiyah Rejoagugung Ploso is one of the Islamic school which is chosen as a favorite school of the people in the northern region of the Jombang Brantas River because it is known to have students who have noble character.The focuses of this research are: (1) what is the strategy of the Islamic school principal in strengthening the character of students at MI Nizhamiyah Rejoagung Ploso Jombang? (2) What are the obstacles for the head of the islamic school in strengthening the character of students at MI Nizhamiyah Rejoagung Ploso Jombang? The objectives of this study are: (1) To describe the strategy of the head of the Islamic school in strengthening the character of students at MI Nizhamiyah Rejoagung Ploso Jombang. (2) To describe the constraints of the islamic school principal in strengthening the character of students at MI Nizhamiyah Rejoagung Ploso Jombang. To achieve the above objectives, a descriptive qualitative approach was used by taking the background of MI Nizhamiyah Rejoagung Ploso Jombang with the subject of teachers and other teaching staff. Data were collected by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data is done by triangulation, and the use of reference materials. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The strategy used by the islamic school principal in strengthening the character of students is through habituation to religious values, discipline values, and environmental care values. Routine activities and programmed activities are expected to strengthen character values in students and finally monitoring and evaluation, in monitoring the development of character education, principals are assisted by their respective homeroom teachers through a liaison book then the results will be brought to regular meetings to evaluate. (2) the obstacles faced by the principal in strengthening the character of students come from within the students themselves (internally) and from outside the students themselves (externally).

Abstract

The focus of this research is such as (1) The planning of new students’ acceptance in the development of emotional intelligence of students at Kediri MTs. Ma’murotul Husna Middle School, (2) Classification of students in developing emotional intelligence of students at Kediri MTs. Ma’murotul Husna Middle School, (3) Implementation of student coaching in the development emotional intelligence of students at Kediri MTs. Ma’murotul Husna Middle School. This research if viewed from the sources of data, this study used primary and secondary data. While the type of data, the approach used includes qualitative research that produced the descriptive explanation. The technique of data collection in this study used three techniques, namely in-depth interview, participant observation, and study documentation. The data that has been collected is then analyzed in a parent's manner with three stages, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusion.The result of this research included: (1) Planning for admission of new students in the development of emotional intelligence in MTs. Ma’murotul Husna Middle  School produces  a plan for developing emotional intelligence  of students, namely by having a policy regarding the acceptance of all prospective students who register either normal or children with especiality necessary. (2) The grouping of students in the development of emotional intelligence produced several parts which include class grouping based on the result of test that include children's learning abilitiy such as diagnostic test and IQ test, then there are extracurricular grouping based on talent and interest that exist in each student , and grouping learning to learn the method of Yanbu'a that are tailored to the ability of students. (3) The implementation of coaching there are three categories, namely disciplinary coaching that madethe students have emotional condition such as responsibility, academic coaching and non-academic coaching, each coaching is able to develop emotional students such as activities inside or outside classroom such as motivate themselves and responsible for carrying out these activities. Not only responsibility but also confidence, honesty, have empathy and foster good relations between the teachers and the fellow students..

Abstract

This study aims to describe the transformational leadership of the principal in establishing organizational culture at MA NU Hasan Muchyi Kapurejo Pagu Kediri. The purpose of this research was to describe: (1) Transformational leadership of headmaster in improving organizational culture at MA NU Hasan Muchyi Kapurejo Pagu Kediri. (2) The transformational leadership of the principal overcomes the obstacles in establishing organizational culture at MA NU Hasan Muchyi Kapurejo Pagu Kediri. (3) Factors that support and obstruct the transformational leadership of headmaster in developing organization culture at MA NU Hasan Muchyi Kapurejo Pagu Kediri. The method used is qualitative method, with data collection technique: interview, documentation and observation. The step of analyzing data is by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data and then concluding. To examine the validity of the data is carried out tests of credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The findings ware: (1) Transformational Headmaster Leadership in establishing organizational culture at MA NU Hasan Muchyi Kapurejo Pagu Kediri, Principal could build culture well. The principal organizes certain programs that could build a culture at the MA NU Hasan Muchyi Kapurejo Pagu Kediri. In deciding on programs that can be implemented in the School, the Principal involved all stakeholders in the School. (2) In establishing an organizational culture at MA NU Hasan Muchyi Kapurejo Pagu Kediri, the Principal is a good example for all residents in the School, so that the application of good organizational culture in MA NU Hasan Muchyi Kapurejo Pagu Kediri worked well. (3) As a leader, the Head of Madrasah always provides motivation to all teachers' councils, both orally and in writing and in general or in particular. The principal builds self-awareness on the teacher and communicates well so that the Principal's social relationships could go well

Abstract

The article aims to obtain the results of field studies on XI students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Mojokerto about (1) the level of intellectual intelligence of students, (2) the level of emotional intelligence of students, (3) the level of the religious character of students, (4) the influence of intellectual intelligence on the formation of students' religious characters, (5) the effect of emotional intelligence on the formation of students' religious characters, and (6) the influence of both on the formation of students' religious characters. The type of research used is quantitative research with a regression approach. The research subjects were 50 respondents from 156 students using a questionnaire technique for variable data (X1) as IQ (Intellectual Quotient), variable (X2) as EQ (Emotional Quotient), and religious character as a variable (Y). The research data were analysed using the SPSS 22.0 application. They tested the research hypothesis using simple and multiple regression analysis. The results of the research on class XI students at MAN 1 Mojokerto showed that: (1) students' IQ levels were in a good category, (2) students' EQ levels were in a good category, (3) students' religious character was in a good category, (4) there was a significant influence, and the positive of IQ on the Religious Character of students is 73.2%, (5) There is a significant and positive effect of EQ on the Religious Character of students of 69.8%, and (6) Simultaneously both also have an effect of 71.5% on the religious character of students and has a very strong relationship quality.

Abstract

Education has a very strong position in preparing humans to live perfectly and happily. Coaching and monitoring for 24 hours for students is carried out by the Al-Hajar Karemejo Islamic Boarding School which is aimed at fostering their personality. This study aims to: 1) Explain the planning of Islamic boarding schools in improving the religious character of students, 2) Describe the management of Islamic boarding schools in improving the religious character of students, 3) Describe the supervision of Islamic boarding schools in improving the religious character of students, 4) Describe the evaluation of Islamic boarding schools in improving the character of Islamic boarding schools. religious students. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research with a case study approach and the data collection techniques used are observation, documentation, and interviews.
