Abstract

Technology based learning media is currently needed by student. From the observations of the researcher stated that students tend to feel bored with the monotonous and less varied learning of Natural Sciences, so the learning less enjoyable. Teachers tend to use learning media like  pictures and conventional aids. Especially if the material being taught requires a field trip method that requires students to find information independently related to learning, such as the solar system learning material, the process of eclipses, and celestial objects. So, the developer will create a VR (Virtual Reality) based learning media with the aim of students being able to enter the material as if they were in the material world without having to do direct field trips. The development method used in this research is Research and Development (R & D) with the ADDIE model. The developed Solar System media is based on VR (Virtual Reality) by integrating material about the Solar system, eclipses and celestial objects which is made interactive. This media develops material creations that are used with integration of  2 themes in VI grade. This media can be used with the help of android mobile phones, VR glasses and remote control. The results of this development research is 84 from media expert and material expert validation 81.47 so that it stated that this media was valid. In the field through trials to students stated that 96.89% of students felt happy to learn by giving a positive response. After using this media, the students' scores increased significantly. In addition, the researcher also conducted a device test with 94% results for 2 indicators and 100% was the result of 13 good tool indicators. So it can be concluded that this media is an effective media to use and interesting for students. ABSTRAKPenggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi saat ini sangat diperlukan. Berdasarkan observasi peneliti menyatakan bahwa peserta didik cenderung merasa bosan dengan pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam yang monoton dan kurang bervariasi, sehingga membuat pembelajaran kurang menyenangkan. Guru cenderung menggunakan media pembelajaran berupa gambar maupun alat peraga konvensional. Apalagi jika materi yang diajarkan memerlukan metode karya wisata yang menuntut siswa untuk mencari informasi secara mandiri terkait pembelajaran Seperti pada materi pembelajaran tata surya, proses terjadinya gerhana, serta benda-benda langit yang tidak mungkin dijangkau secara mudah oleh peserta didik maupun siswa. Untuk itu pengembang akan membuat sebuah media pembelajaran berbasis VR (Virtual Reality) dengan tujuan siswa mampu masuk dalam materi seolah berada dalam dunia materi tersebut tanpa harus melakukan karya wisata langsung. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R & D) dengan model ADDIE. Media Tata Surya yang dikembangkan berbasis VR (Virtual Reality)  dengan mengintegrasikan materi tentang tata Surya, gerhana dan benda-benda langit yang dibuat interaktif. Media ini mengembangkan kreasi materi yang digunakan tidak hanya untuk satu kali pembelajaran melainkan terintegrasi untuk 2 tema yakni tema 8 dan 9 kelas VI. Media ini dapat digunakan dengan menggunakan bantuan handphone android, kacamata VR dan remote control. Adapun hasil penelitian pengembangan ini yang dimulai dari kegiatan validasi kepada ahli media mendapatkan nilai 84 dan validasi ahli materi 81,47 sehingga menyatakan bahwa media ini valid atau layak untuk digunakan. Adapun hasil penelitian di lapangan  melalui uji coba kepada siswa menyatakan 96,89% siswa merasa senang belajar dengan memberikan respon positif. Setelah menggunakan media ini nilai siswa mengalami peningkatan yang siginifikan. Selain itu peneliti juga melakukan uji perangkat dengan hasil 94% untuk 2 indikator  dan 100% merupakan hasil dari 13 indikator perangkat yang baik. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa media ini merupakan media yang efektif untuk digunakan serta menarik bagi siswa.

Abstract

Eksplorasi ide sebagai bagian dari disposisi matematis memiliki peran penting bagi siswa. Dengan kemampuan eksplorasi ide, siswa akan mampu memecahkan soal matematika secara mandiri dan kreatif untuk mendukung keberhasilan pembelajaran matematika. Namun berdasarkan studi pendahuluan diketahui kemampuan eksplorasi ide siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita materi pecahan masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan instrument tes kognitif dengan membuktikan validitas dan reliabilitas konstruk instrumen tes eksplorasi ide materi pecahan di sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif secara cross sectional dengan 307 siswa sebagai subjek penelitian. Analisis data menggunakan analisis faktor konfirmasi dengan software SPSS 26 dan Lisrel 8.80 untuk mengetahui nilai indeks daya beda dan nilai muatan faktor yang kemudian digunakan untuk menemukan nilai korelasi antar dimensi (AVE), validitas konstruk dan reliabilitas instrumen.  Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat 12 butir soal valid secara konstruk dan reliabel. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi dan rekomendasi dalam penggunaan instrument tes berbasis eksplorasi ide di sekolah dasar.Exploration of ideas as part of a mathematical disposition has an important role for students. With the ability to explore ideas, students will be able to solve math problems independently and creatively to support the success of learning mathematics. However, based on a preliminary study, it shows that students' ability to explore ideas in solving word problems on fractions is still low. This study aims to develop by prove the construct validity and reliability of the exploratory test instrument for ideas on fractional material in elementary schools. The method in this study was quantitative with cross-sectional method with 307 students as research subjects. Data analysis was carried out by confirming factor analysis using SPSS 26 and Lisrel 8.80 software to determine the value of the differential index and factor loading values which can then be used to find the inter-dimensional correlation (AVE) values, construct validity and instrument reliability. Of the 35 items, there are 17 questions that have high discriminatory power to be analyzed using Lisrel 8.80. The results showed, there were 12 items that were stated to be constructively valid and reliable. This study provides implications and recommendations for the use of test instruments based on idea exploration in elementary schools.

Abstract

Mathematical disposition is an important aspect that pre-service teachers must master to determine the success of mathematics learning. The objectives of this study were to show the statistical description and verify the research hypothesis regarding the comparison between problem-solving and problem-posing integrated with ignatian pedagogy as a novelty toward Elementary School Teacher Education students. Using a quantitative approach involving 84 students consisting of 9 males and 75 females as participants, used a comparison test between two learning models. The results of the parametric prerequisite test showed the value of Sig. <0.05 for normality and Sig. > 0.05 for homogeneity. However, data analysis can not be continued parametrically but was tested using Mann-Whitney U (non-parametric). The hypotheses test results concluded that H0 was accepted or there was no significant difference from the state of the students' mathematical disposition either using problem-solving or problem posing based on ignation pedagogy. It was evidenced by the probability value, which showed 0.221, which was > 0.05. The implications of this study directly recommend using appropriate learning models to improve the mathematical dispositions of pre-service teachers.

Abstract

Mentally retarded students have different learning trajectories for understanding mathematics concepts. This study aims to analyze the learning trajectory of mentally retarded students based on constructivism theory. Through a qualitative approach with the natural observation method. The instruments used in this study were observation sheets, interviews, and documentation. From the three results, the data will be validated through a technical triangulation process to obtain research findings. This study involved three students from the 6th grade with mental retardation who obtained some learning trajectories in the multiplication operation. The first learning trajectory is carried out through the process of repeated addition according to the number being multiplied, even though conceptually it is incorrect. Second, use the stake (turus system) to write down the unit place, and last, use the stake (turus system) to write down the value of the whole number. In constructivism, mentally retarded students can build their own ideas to solve multiplication operations according to their own learning trajectories. The results of this study can be implicated in the learning process and as a hypothetical learning trajectory for mentally retarded students.

Abstract

Mathematical dispositions play an important role in mathematics learning. Students who have a negative disposition will have an impact on their learning. Aspects of mathematical disposition consist of self-confidence, perseverance, learning with full responsibility, never giving up, and having an interest in challenging, reflective, and creative problems. Given the importance of the mathematical disposition aspect, it should be of particular concern in learning. This study aims to provide a description of the mathematical dispositions of students in grades 4, 5, and 6 at SDN Banyuajuh 1. Using a qualitative case study approach, this research was conducted to obtain in-depth results. The researcher is the main instrument and is supported by several supporting instruments, such as a mathematical disposition questionnaire, observation sheets, interview guidelines, and documentation guidelines. The findings in this study indicate that the condition of the high school students' mathematical dispositions is in a good category. This is indicated by several aspects of achievement, such as the implementation of mathematics and the positive level of student self-confidence. However, not all aspects of mathematical disposition can be achieved properly. Aspects of flexibility, monitoring ability, and student reflection abilities need to be improved. Not only that but teachers also need to pay attention to aspects of cultural appreciation and integration in mathematics. Students' mathematical dispositions are not only influenced by teacher factors but also by student factors. Learning environment factors also play an important role. So, this study provides implications and recommendations for mathematics learning activities that are oriented toward students' mathematical dispositions. Disposisi matematis memiliki peran penting dalam pembelajaran matematika. Siswa yang memiliki disposisi negatif akan berdampak pada kegagalan belajar. Aspek disposisi matematis yang terdiri dari percaya diri, tekun, belajar dengan penuh tanggungjawab, pantang menyerah, memiliki ketertarikan terhadap soal yang menantang, reflektif dan kreatif. Mengingat pentingnya aspek disposisi matematis, seharusnya menjadi perhatian khusus dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan deskripsi terhadap kondisi disposisi matematis siswa kelas 4, 5 dan 6 di SDN Banyuajuh 1. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif metode studi kasus, penelitian ini dilakukan guna memperoleh hasil yang mendalam. Peneliti sebagai instrumen utama dan didukung beberapa instrumen pendukung seperti angket disposisi matematis, lembar observasi, pedoman wawancara dan pedoman dokumentasi. Temuan dalam penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kondisi disposisi matematis siswa kelas tinggi dalam kategori baik. Hal ini terindikasi dari beberapa aspek capaian seperti implementasi matematika hingga tingkat kepercayaan diri siswa yang positif. Namun, tidak semua aspek disposisi matematis dapat terrcapai dengan baik. Aspek fleksibiltas, kemampuan monitoring dan kemampuan refleksi siswa perlu ditingkatkan. Bukan hanya itu, guru juga perlu memperhatikan aspek apresiasi dan integrasi budaya dalam matematika. Disposisi matematis siswa tidak dipengaruhi oleh faktor guru saja, melainkan faktor dari siswa, faktor lingkungan belajar juga berperan penting. Jadi, penelitian ini memberi implikasi dan rekomendasi pada kegiatan pembelajaran matematika yang berorientasi pada disposisi matematis siswa.

Abstract

PISA's assessment criteria aim to gauge the efficacy of educational systems in equipping students with the skills to utilize mathematical knowledge across various life aspects, thereby nurturing them into constructive, engaged, and reflective citizens for the 21st century. Our research focus is on scrutinizing the current spectrum of research and advancements relevant to the integration of e-learning, gamification, and personalized learning methodologies within elementary mathematics education. The Game Development Life Cycle process encompasses an iterative methodology with six distinct phases: Initiation, Pre-Production, Production, Testing, Beta, and Release. The beta testing phase, which involved 265 respondents, was conducted using the System Usability Scale (SUS) to assess the usability of the new software. The SUS, a proven and efficient tool, consists of a 10-item questionnaire that gauge’s users' overall satisfaction with the product.  This result serves as a valuable feedback mechanism, guiding the development team on where to focus their efforts in refining the software's interface and functionality to enhance the overall user experience in subsequent iterations. The integration of e-learning, personalization, and gamification in elementary mathematics education offers promising benefits in terms of accessibility, engagement, and learning outcomes. However, challenges such as the digital divide and the need for teacher training must be addressed to maximize their potential. The presented game development methodology serves as a structured guide for creating effective personalized educational games, contributing to the ongoing discourse on innovative approaches to mathematics education.
