Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan Rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan lembar kerja mahasiswa menggunakan teknologi peta konsep (Cmap Tools) dan  model  siklus  belajar  guna  membekali  kemampuan  mengintegrasi  mata pelajaran  untuk  calon  guru.  Penelitian  ini  menggunakan  metode  Research   Development (R D) dan menganut model pengembangan Plomp (1994). Subyek coba yang digunakan adalah mahasiswa PGSD kelas VG A sebanyak 7 orang. Uji coba dilakukan dalam dua uji coba, yakni uji coba perseorangan dan uji coba kelompok kecil. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan tes dan angket. Angket dipergunakan   dalam   rangka   memvalidasi   kepada    expert,   sedangkan   tes dipergunakan untuk mengungkapkan kemampuan calon guru dalam mengintegrasikan mata pelajaran. Analisis data hasil angket dan tes menggunakan 75tatistic deskriptif dan konversi ke dalam data kualitatif  sebagai wujud degree of achievement. Hasil uji coba perseorangan menunjukkan bahwa perangkat perkualiahan mencapai tingkat “cukup” efektif, sedangkan hasil uji coba uji coba kelompok kecil menunjukkan hasil “baik” dan “sangat baik.” Rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang mampu membekali kemampuan mengintegrasikan mata pelajaran memuat  model siklus belajar 5 E (engagement, exploration, explanation, elaboration, dan evaluation). Tahapan engagement berisi motivasi menggunakan pentingnya kemampuan  mengintegrasi mata pelajaran dalam kurikulum terbaru (2013); tahapan exploration berisi aktivitas mengeksplorasi software Cmap Tools dan dokumen kurikulum 2006, dan membuat representasi integrasi mata pelajaran dalam bentuk peta konsep menggunakan Cmap Tools, tahapan explanation berisi aktivitas penjelasan dari peta konsep yang telah dibuat; tahapan elaboration adalah menerapkan dalam kurikulum 2013, sedangkan tahapan evaluation adalah menilai produk. Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa disusun dengan memberikan kesempatan mahasiswa   bereksplorasi   dengan   software   Cmap   Tools dan   mengarahkan mahasiswa untuk fokus pada kata benda/frase kebendaan pada kompetensi dasar untuk keperluan mengintegrasikan konsep antarmapel.   Kata kunci:  Cmap Tools, Learning Cycle, Integrating Subject Ability

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses IPA menggunakan model Discovery learning (Stimulation, Problem Statement, Data Collecting, Data Processing, Verification dan Generalization) pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri Bener Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas Kolaboratif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri Bener dengan jumlah 31 siswa yang terdiri dari 15 laki-laki dan 16 perempuan. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan tes. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa keterampilan proses IPA menggunakan Discovery learning di kelas V SD Negeri Bener mengalami peningkatan pratindakan sebesar 33,87%, Siklus I sebesar 68,77%, dan Siklus II sebesar 83,31%. Selain itu, hasil belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan dari pratindakan sebesar 52, 29 menjadi 70,00 pada Siklus I dan 77,41 pada Siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Discovery learning dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses IPA pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri Bener.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan guru sekolah dasar dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran berbasis HOTS. Kegiatan dilakukan dalam bentuk lokakarya secara daring dengan dua bagian kegiatan, teori dan praktik. Materi yang disampaikan adalah pemahaman tentang pentingnya mengembangkan HOTS bagi peserta didik untuk peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah dasar, strategi penyusunan pembelajaran berorientasi HOTS, metode-metode pembelajaran berbasis HOTS, dan penilaian pembelajaran berbasis HOTS. Kegiatan praktik dilakukan dengan menyusun pembelajaran berorientasi HOTS berdasarkan baseline kemampuan peserta didik untuk masing-masing sekolah dasar. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar peserta telah memiliki kemampuan mengembangkan pembelajaran yang berbasis HOTS. Berdasarkan temuan dari produk peserta, salah satu keterampilan yang perlu ditingkatkan adalah keterampilan mengembangkan pertanyaan produktif.

Abstract

Online learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic impacts the university level, especially during the learning process. This influence was felt by PGSD students at Yogyakarta State University when simulating online learning media. The simulation of learning media is undoubtedly related to students' science process skills as a provision for prospective teachers. These science process skills must be measured as preparation for becoming a prospective teacher in the learning process in the future. However, detailed measurements have not been carried out. Therefore, this study aims to describe the science process skills of PGSD students in simulating science learning media in a network. The method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques using observation and interviews. The data analysis technique uses Miles, Huberman Saldana, which consists of condensing the data, presenting the data and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are the indicators observing 83.33% very high category, classifying 44.44% moderate category, interpreting 33.33% low category, predicting 50.00% sufficient category, asking questions 50.00% sufficient category, formulating hypotheses 50.00% sufficient category, planning an experiment 77.78% high category, using tools and materials 11.11% deficient category, apply the concept of 61.11% high category and communicate 61.11% high category. In general, students' science process skills have not been able to optimally, so there is a need for a lecture program to simulate science learning media on a network by providing PhET simulation media.

Abstract

Mathematical disposition is an important aspect that pre-service teachers must master to determine the success of mathematics learning. The objectives of this study were to show the statistical description and verify the research hypothesis regarding the comparison between problem-solving and problem-posing integrated with ignatian pedagogy as a novelty toward Elementary School Teacher Education students. Using a quantitative approach involving 84 students consisting of 9 males and 75 females as participants, used a comparison test between two learning models. The results of the parametric prerequisite test showed the value of Sig. <0.05 for normality and Sig. > 0.05 for homogeneity. However, data analysis can not be continued parametrically but was tested using Mann-Whitney U (non-parametric). The hypotheses test results concluded that H0 was accepted or there was no significant difference from the state of the students' mathematical disposition either using problem-solving or problem posing based on ignation pedagogy. It was evidenced by the probability value, which showed 0.221, which was > 0.05. The implications of this study directly recommend using appropriate learning models to improve the mathematical dispositions of pre-service teachers.

Abstract

Modifying the curriculum is often necessary for autistic children to effectively engage in their learning. Interestingly, a particular learning process was discovered that proved to be effective without any need for modification - specifically, teaching science to an autistic child. This discovery calls for further investigation. This study aims to provide a comprehensive description of the unique traits exhibited by autistic children who excel in learning science without the need for any modifications.  This study utilized the Spradley analysis method, which involves domain analysis, taxonomic analysis, componential analysis, and cultural theme analysis. The participants in this study consisted of elementary school students in the 3rd grade who have autism. They were selected using the purposive sampling method. The data collection involved conducting interviews, examining documentation, and studying artifacts. The findings of the study indicate that children with mild autism can effectively learn science without requiring any adjustments, while still receiving necessary accommodations. Tasks can be effectively completed with the support of teachers and the assistance of paraprofessionals. Autistic children demonstrate proficiency in basic science process skills, creativity, and fine motor skills. They also exhibit a positive affect and are able to socialize effectively. Addressing focus and emotional issues involves implementing structured meal plans, providing parents with guidance on educating their children, and fostering strong collaboration with teachers.

Abstract

It is urgent to carry out character education because with the provision of character education students will be able to empower their potential to build their personal character so that they are able to become individuals who are beneficial to themselves and their environment. Focus and aim of this research is to analyze the value of character education from the Indonesian Animation Series: Adit Sopo Jarwo for elementary school students. Type of research used is a qualitative research method with a descriptive type. The data sampling technique used purposive sampling and the samples in this study were  fourth grade elementary school students and teachers who taught in that class. The research procedure used in this research uses qualitative data analysis techniques, namely data collection, data reduction, presenting data in descriptive form and making conclusions. Data collection techniques were carried out using interviews and observations. Based on the research that has been carried out, the results and conclusions are obtained that the Indonesian Animation series Adit & Sopo Jarwo has character education value, namely the mutual cooperation character in the episode "Serunya Kerja Bakti dan Tamasya Bersama" and the independent character in the episode "Bunda Pergi Adel Mandiri", so that the Indonesian Animation series Adit & Sopo Jarwo can be used as audio visual media to instill the character of mutual cooperation and independence in elementary school students.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of contextual learning models using role-playing techniques on the storytelling skills of Sanata Dharma University PGSD (Primary School Teacher Education) students. This research uses a quantitative approach to experimental methods by designing a group pretest and posttest. The population in this research is all PGSD students at Sanata Dharma University for the 2022–2023 academic year. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling. The sample taken was class 2C, with a total of 43 students. Data collection was carried out using observation and tests. This research data analysis technique uses prerequisite tests, namely the normality test, and hypothesis tests, namely the sample T-test. The findings in this research show that the application of a contextual learning model assisted by role-playing techniques has a significant positive effect on the storytelling skills of PGSD students at Sanata Dharma University. This can be seen from the average pretest score of students before implementing the contextual learning model, a modeling type assisted by role-playing techniques, namely 60.12 in the sufficient category. Meanwhile, the posttest average was 83.02 in the good category. Based on the normality test, the data results were normally distributed. A hypothesis-testing paired sample t-test was also carried out and produced a sig = 0.000 value, which means it is smaller than α (0.05). Thus, H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. Furthermore, this research recommends that lecturers apply this learning model as an innovative model that can be applied to improve students' storytelling skills.

Abstract

The problem of students' short story writing skills is still a challenge in learning at the higher education level. Conventional learning that is limited to understanding theory is considered less effective in improving students' practical skills. This study aims to analyze the effect of discovery learning model assisted by serialized picture media on improving students' short story writing skills. The research used quantitative methods with a pseudo-experimental design and non-equivalent control group design. The sample was taken by random sampling, with one class as the control group and one class as the experimental group. Data were collected through essay tests and analyzed using t-test. The results of the analysis showed that the value of Tcount = 3.623, this value was then compared with Ttable at the 5% significance level (α = 0.05) with dk (35 + 32-2 = 65). So that the value of Ttable = 2.500 is obtained. Because the value of Tcount = 3.623 > Ttable 2.500, Ho is rejected, indicating a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. In conclusion, the discovery learning model assisted by serialized picture media has a significant effect on improving students' short story writing skills compared to conventional learning.
