Abstract

Some problems in real life can be solved by using mathematics. The first step to solving the problem is to formulate or represent the problem in mathematical language. The process of formulating or representing into mathematical language is referred to as mathematical modeling. The implementation of mathematical modeling in the classroom is still relatively new and rarely applied in the classroom. However, based on the statements of several experts, it is explained that mathematical modeling can be taught, studied and suggested to be implemented in the classroom. The purpose of this research is to present the results of studies from several sources data related to the implementation and the role or importance of implementing mathematical modeling learning in the classroom. The research method used in this research was literature review. Furthermore, based on the study of several literatures, it is found that learning mathematical modeling is recommended to be implemented in the classroom because it has many positive effects on students. Some researchers explain that learning mathematical modeling is important to be implemented in the classroom because it can improve students motivation, creativity, and independence in learning mathematics. However, it also explains some of the weakness of learning mathematical modeling and recommendations for follow-up.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the effect of using a school website on the Mathematics learning outcomes of class XI TKJ 2 students on two-variable equations and inequalities at SMK Negeri 1 Kendit using quantitative research methods. The respondents in this study were class XI TKJ 2 students who used the school website as a learning resource. The research instrument used was a questionnaire distributed to students to measure the frequency of use of the school website and daily mathematics test scores for two-variable equations and inequalities. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression to identify the influence between the independent variable (use of the school website) and the dependent variable (Mathematics learning outcomes). The results of the research can be concluded that the simple linear regression equation obtained a constant value of 74.822. The coefficient for the independent variable (x) using the school website which is listed as active is positive, indicating that there is a unidirectional relationship or between the use of the school website (x) and learning outcomes (y). The variable regression coefficient (x) of 3.479 means that every use of the school website (x) by one unit will cause an increase in learning outcomes (y) by 3.479 and is confirmed by a significance value of 0.003 where this value is smaller than the real level (α) 0.05, this means that (Ho) is rejected and (H1) is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of using the school website on the mathematics learning outcomes of Class XI TKJ students at SMK Negeri 1 Kendit.

Abstract

The development of small enterprises requires businesses to compete by offering quality products at appropriate prices. This study aims to analyze the effect of product quality and price on purchasing decisions of palm sugar in Campoan Village, Mlandingan. A quantitative approach was employed with simple random sampling involving 100 respondents. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that product quality has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, while price shows no significant effect. Simultaneously, product quality and price influence purchasing decisions, with product quality being the dominant factor. These findings highlight that improving product quality is the key strategy to strengthen consumer purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to optimize production planning at UMKM Mie Ratu Situbondo, particularly for two main products, namely Mie Ratu Galak and Mie Ratu Ganas, in order to maximize daily profit and reduce inefficiencies in the use of raw materials. The background of this research is the production decision-making process that is still based on estimation, which often leads to suboptimal results and potential waste. The research method used is linear programming with the Simplex method, followed by the Branch and Bound method to obtain integer solutions. Data were collected through observation and interviews with the business owner over a period of more than seven days and were aggregated into daily average values. The analysis was carried out using MATLAB software. The results show that the optimal production combination is 63 portions of Mie Ratu Galak and 67 portions of Mie Ratu Ganas per day, resulting in a maximum profit of Rp1,434,000 per day. Compared to the previous condition, this result indicates an increase in profit and a more efficient allocation of resources. This study provides practical benefits for UMKM actors by offering a systematic and quantitative approach to production planning, which can support better managerial decision-making and improve business performance.
