Abstract

Dalam bidang manufaktur, pemesinan CNC/CAM merupakan teknologi pemesinan yang paling berpotensi untuk dikembangkan menyesuaikan dengan revolusi industri 4.0. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat tingkat keterlaksanaan pembelajaran KI/KD CNC/CAM di SMK dan LPTK serta  relevansinya terhadap kebutuhan industri. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan triangulation mixed method design, yaitu desain penelitian campuran antara kualitatif dan kuantitatif yang dilaksanakan secara bersamaan. Penelitian kuantitatif dilaksanakan dengan desain survei menggunakan instrumen kuesioner yang hasilnya diolah dan disajikan secara deskriptif, sedangkan pendekatan kualitatif dilaksanakan dengan metode interview dan observasi partisipatif yang hasilnya disarikan dan diinterpretasikan untuk memperkuat temuan penelitian kuantitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada SMK-SMK di Kota Surakarta yang menyelenggarakan Kompetensi Keahlian Teknik Pemesinan. Dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa jenis mesin, controller, dan software CAM bukan lah suatu permasalahan dalam link and match pembelajaran CNC/CAM, akan tetapi, yang menjadi kunci keselarasan adalah KI/KD pembelajaran. Penelitian juga menemukan bahwa berbagai KI/KD dalam bidang CNC sebagaimana yang diamanatkan dalam kurikulum telah terlaksana dengan baik dalam pembelajaran di SMK maupun LPTK. Penelitian ini juga mengkonfirmasi bahwa KI/KD bidang CNC/CAM antara LPTK, SMK, dan industri, saat ini pada level ‘sangat relevan’. Penelitian ini juga mengungkap bahwa LPTK dan SMK cenderung konsisten menyampaikan KI/KD sesuai amanat kurikulum, sedangkan industri cenderung ada KI/KD tertentu yang cenderung lebih dominan dibanding dengan KI/KD yang lain.

Abstract

Abstract

Pengangguran di Indonesia masih cukup banyak, salah satu faktor penyebab pengangguran yaitu pekerja yang kurang menguasai keahlian. Salah satu keahlian pada zaman sekarang ini yaitu disebut dengan employability skills. Data tracer study di SMK Negeri 4 Sukoharjo masih banyak lulusan yang belum bekerja. Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan (1) Mengetahui tingkat penguasaan employability skills dari siswa kelas XII kompetensi keahlian Teknik Mesin SMK Negeri 4 Sukoharjo; (2) Mengetahui penerapan employability skills kepada siswa kelas XII kompetensi keahlian Teknik Pemesinan SMK Negeri 4 Sukoharjo. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan mixed method yang merupakan penelitian gabungan. Pengambilan sampel yaitu total sampling dan purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data yaitu menggunakan angket, wawancara, dan observasi. Validitas instrumen menggunakan uji validitas isi dan konstruk serta triangulasi data untuk memastikan data absah. Teknik analisis menggunakan kriteria penilaian dan data reduksi data. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan tingkat penguasaan dan penerapan employability skills berdasarkan dari 11 indikator. Hasilnya 8 indikator pada kategori tinggi dan 3 indikator pada kategori sangat tinggi. Hasil dari wawancara dan observasi menyatakan siswa telah memiliki tingkat penguasaan employability skills yang baik.

Abstract

Learning media significantly impacts the effectiveness of the learning process. The automotive industry is experiencing rapid development, resulting in a high demand for technicians with expertise in the automotive field. The purpose of this study was to test the development of Smart Apps Creator (SAC) to create interactive learning resources for Engine Management Systems (EMS). This research and development (RD) project used the ADDIE development approach. Five subject matter experts and five media specialists comprised an expert assessment group that validated and evaluated the media to ensure its feasibility. In addition, 62 students reviewed the learning materials as users of the application. The media specialists' evaluation of the feasibility of the learning media construction resulted in a score of 4.02, which is considered practical. The subject matter experts' evaluation of the feasibility of the learning media material resulted in a score of 4.15, which is considered practical. The students' evaluation of the acceptance of the learning media as users resulted in a score of 4.07, which is classified as practical. Meanwhile, the application implementation in the learning process proved to increase learning success among students who used the program development. All things considered, the findings of this study can be used as evidence that application-based learning materials are worthy of widespread use, which will further improve teaching standards. Furthermore, vocational teachers must innovate in developing learning media by utilizing and integrating technology into the process. The creation of such media is necessary in the 21st century to provide easily accessible and understandable learning materials so that students can effectively absorb the information.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari persepsi penguasaan metode mengajar praktik guru, media pembelajaran yang digunakan guru, dan motivasi belajar siswa terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran praktik kelistrikan otomotif SMK keahlian TKR di Kota Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah ex-post facto. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XII pada kompetensi TKR di SMK Kota Yogyakarta yang berjumlah 565 siswa. Sampel sejumlah 185 siswa ditentukan dengan teknik proportional random sampling. Pengambilan data variabel bebas menggunakan angket dengan skala Likert dan Rating Scale. Data variabel terikat dikumpulkan menggunakan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan empat temuan ytiu: (1) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan persepsi penguasaan metode mengajar praktik guru terhadap hasil belajar praktik kelistrikan otomotif; (2) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari persepsi media pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar pembelajaran praktik kelistrikan otomotif; (3)terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari motivasi belajar siswa terhadap hasil belajar pembelajaran praktik kelistrikan otomotif; (4) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari persepsi penguasaan metode mengajar praktik guru, persepsi media pembelajaran, dan motivasi belajar siswa secara bersama-sama terhadap hasil belajar pembelajaran praktik kelistrikan otomotif. FACTORS AFFECTING THE LEARNING OUTCOMES IN THE TEACHING AND LEARNING OF AUTOMOTIVE ELECTRICAL PRACTICE OF SMK IN YOGYAKARTA CITYAbstractThe research aimed to reveal the effect of perceptions of teachers' mastery of practice teaching methods, instructional media used by teachers, and students' motivation on the learning outcomes in the teaching of automotive electrical practice of SMK of TKR expertise in Yogyakarta City. The research was ex-post facto research. The population was all grade XII students of SMK light vehicle enginering expertise in Yogyakarta City totalling 565 students. A sample of 185 students was established using the proportional random sampling technique. The data of the independent variable were collected using a questionnaire with Likert scale and Rating scale. The data of the dependent variable were collected using documentation. The data were analyzed using the multiple regression analysis. The research revealed four findings. (1) There was a significant effect of perceptions of teachers' mastery of practice teaching methods on the learning outcomes in the teaching of automotive electrical practice; (2) There was a significant effect of instructional media on the learning outcomes in the teaching of automotive electrical practice; (3) There was a significant effect of the students' motivation on the learning outcomes in the teaching of automotive electrical practice; (4) There was a significant effect of perceptions on teachers' mastery of practical teaching methods, perceptions on instructional media, and students' motivation collectively on the learning outcomes in the teaching of automotive electrical practice.

Abstract

Purpose – Teaching Factory (TEFA) is widely promoted to align vocational schools with industry demands, yet many studies emphasize implementation factors rather than explaining how TEFA operationally institutionalizes industrial work culture in day-to-day school practices. This study examines the patterns and mechanisms through which industrial work culture is habituated in a TEFA-based vocational school.Methods – This qualitative case study (interpretive paradigm) was conducted at SMKN 2 Surakarta following Yin’s case study procedures. Data was generated through semi-structured in-depth interviews with six key informants (head of expertise program, workshop head, productive teachers, and students) and supported by relevant documents. Data were analyzed iteratively using open–axial–selective coding to construct categories and an integrative theme. Trustworthiness was strengthened through data and method triangulation, and participants’ consent and anonymization were ensured. Findings – The findings show that Teaching Factory (TEFA) functions as an institutional ecosystem for industrial culture formation, rather than merely a production-based learning model, as students internalize industrial values through authentic daily work practices. Industrial culture is formed through the integration of strategic orientation, including quality and market legitimacy, financial sustainability, policy alignment, and project-based production, and operational mechanisms, such as block scheduling, digital or fingerprint-based attendance, structured daily routines, and tiered task distribution. The study further indicates that TEFA’s effectiveness is context-dependent and relies on consistent implementation, as variations in resources, leadership, and operational discipline influence the strength of industrial culture habituation. Research Implications – The study offers conceptual insights into TEFA as a mechanism for institutionalizing industrial culture in vocational education.

Abstract

Purpose – This study examines how a sense of quality is formed in machining practicum learning from the perspective of teachers. The study contributes to the discussion on quality development in vocational education by exploring how attitudes, knowledge, and skills are integrated within practical learning environments. Methods – A qualitative case study was conducted in a vocational high school specializing in machining. Data was collected through semi-structured, in-depth interviews with four experienced teachers. The data were analyzed using iterative thematic analysis, including open coding, focused coding, and category development. Findings – The findings suggest that a sense of quality is developed through three interconnected dimensions. First, attitudes form the foundation, including responsibility, honesty, discipline, and resilience shaped through work experiences. Second, knowledge provides the conceptual and procedural framework, including understanding of standards, technical parameters, and production context. Third, skills represent the enactment of quality through planning, measurement, standard-based execution, reflection, and problem-solving. These dimensions are closely interrelated and indicate a pattern of quality development rather than a fixed system.Research Implications – The study offers an interpretative framework for understanding how quality awareness is constructed in vocational practicum learning.

Abstract

Program PKL merupakan pembelajaran bagi peserta didik untuk memperoleh pengalaman kerja yang terstruktur dan relevan sebelum lulus dari suatu program akademik. Penelitian ini merupakan studi pendahuluan bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis persepsi guru di SMK Adi Sumarmo terhadap penyelenggaraan program PKL yang ditinjau dari aspek Context, Input, Procces, Product (CIPP). Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner dan catatan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program PKL di SMK Adi Sumarmo ditinjau secara umum dari 4 aspek sebagai berikut 1) aspek Context termasuk dalam kategori “sangat baik”; 2) aspek Input termasuk dalam kategori “baik”; 3) aspek Process berada dalam kategori “baik”; 4) aspek Product termasuk dalam kategori “baik”. Berdasarkan analisis data terdapat hal yang menjadi konsen peneliti yaitu pada aspek Input, data menunjukan bahwa sarana prasarana seperti belum adanya penggunaan IT untuk monitoring dan logbook. Pada aspek Process, partisipasi peserta selama PKL belum optimal dan pemanfaatan IT selama proses monitoring juga kurang. Pada aspek Product, dampak dari program seperti tawaran kerja dari industri masih tergolong minim dan tindak lanjut program seperti masukan atau feedback dari pihak industri juga masih kurang. Hal tersebut dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan kajian berikutnya dan penelitian lebih lanjut.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and skills of women association members in Ketaon Village, Banyudono District, Boyolali, Central Java, in utilizing household waste. In addition, this activity also aims to reduce household plastic waste, which is usually only burned and can be reused into goods of use value. Service activities are carried out through the Socialization method and the practice of processing plastic bag waste. The activity was carried out on Monday, 15 August 2022, at the Ketaon Village Hall and attended by approximately 25 participants. The participation and enthusiasm of the people in the activity were outstanding, as seen from their enthusiasm participating in the activity from start to finish, and some mothers completed one product. The impact of the extension activities was able to increase the knowledge and skills of women association members in Ketaon Village in processing household plastic bag waste into economically valuable handicrafts.

Abstract

This research aims to carry out an in-depth analysis regarding risks and work safety control efforts at the SMKS Pancasila Surakarta Machining Workshop, by applying the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) method. In the direct observation process, a number of potential risks have been identified, including aspects of lighting that are less than optimal, equipment storage management that is not yet fully efficient, conditions of supporting facilities that need to be improved, and a lack of awareness regarding Occupational Safety and Health (K3). This risk analysis then paves the way for the development of control measures that focus on improving lighting, better equipment storage arrangements, strategic placement of supporting facilities, installation of stabilizers on machines, and expanding K3 awareness through industrial work culture. It is hoped that these recommendations can make a significant contribution in creating a learning environment that is not only safe and comfortable, but also more productive for students and teaching staff in vocational school machining workshops. Thus, this research not only illustrates an in-depth understanding of risks in SMK machining workshops, but also offers concrete solutions to improve overall work safety conditions.
