Abstract

Dalam bidang manufaktur, pemesinan CNC/CAM merupakan teknologi pemesinan yang paling berpotensi untuk dikembangkan menyesuaikan dengan revolusi industri 4.0. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat tingkat keterlaksanaan pembelajaran KI/KD CNC/CAM di SMK dan LPTK serta  relevansinya terhadap kebutuhan industri. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan triangulation mixed method design, yaitu desain penelitian campuran antara kualitatif dan kuantitatif yang dilaksanakan secara bersamaan. Penelitian kuantitatif dilaksanakan dengan desain survei menggunakan instrumen kuesioner yang hasilnya diolah dan disajikan secara deskriptif, sedangkan pendekatan kualitatif dilaksanakan dengan metode interview dan observasi partisipatif yang hasilnya disarikan dan diinterpretasikan untuk memperkuat temuan penelitian kuantitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada SMK-SMK di Kota Surakarta yang menyelenggarakan Kompetensi Keahlian Teknik Pemesinan. Dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa jenis mesin, controller, dan software CAM bukan lah suatu permasalahan dalam link and match pembelajaran CNC/CAM, akan tetapi, yang menjadi kunci keselarasan adalah KI/KD pembelajaran. Penelitian juga menemukan bahwa berbagai KI/KD dalam bidang CNC sebagaimana yang diamanatkan dalam kurikulum telah terlaksana dengan baik dalam pembelajaran di SMK maupun LPTK. Penelitian ini juga mengkonfirmasi bahwa KI/KD bidang CNC/CAM antara LPTK, SMK, dan industri, saat ini pada level ‘sangat relevan’. Penelitian ini juga mengungkap bahwa LPTK dan SMK cenderung konsisten menyampaikan KI/KD sesuai amanat kurikulum, sedangkan industri cenderung ada KI/KD tertentu yang cenderung lebih dominan dibanding dengan KI/KD yang lain.

Abstract

Agra-forestry waste and recycled polypropylene have been combined to create sustainable composite materials for use in automotive applications in response to increased environmental concern over the depletion of petroleum-based resources. In this study, an injection molded motorcycle footstep cover was manufactured from recycled polypropylene (rPP) composite reinforced with ironwood powder. It aims to optimize the manufacturing process parameters of barrel temperature, mould temperature, and holding time in minimizing shrinkage and maximizing product weight. This current research employed the Taguchi L4 orthogonal array experimental design followed by the multi-objective grey relation analysis (GRA). In this study, the composite material consisted of 30% ironwood powder, 65% r-PP, and 5% coupling agent. The specimens were processed using injection molding with two different levels for each parameter of barrel temperature, moulding temperature, and holding time. The injection moulded products were then tested for shrinkage and product weight. The results showed that moulding temperature was the most influential parameter in getting a minimum shrinkage percentage, contributing 60.89%. Meanwhile, holding time contributes the most to achieving a maximum product weight (90.65%). After conducting a grey relation analysis and a confirmation test, the optimal parameters for shrinkage minimization and product weight maximization of motorcycle footstep cover are 210 of barrel temperature, 45 of moulding temperature, and 5 seconds of holding time. This research highlights the prospective applications of recycled polypropylene composite reinforced with ironwood powder for application as automotive parts.

Abstract

Perkembangan zaman membuat kemajuan teknologi meningkat sangat pesat. Terutama dibidang Pendidikan, muncul teknologi yang disebut AI. Adanya AI sangat membantu mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran.  Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan (1)   Untuk memperoleh gambaran penggunaan kecerdasan buatan dalam pembelajaran di prodi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin UNS; (2) Untuk mengetahui dampak penggunaan kecerdasan buatan terhadap pembelajaran di prodi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin UNS. Penelitian ini menggunakan mix method explanatory yaitu merupakan gabungan dengan pengumpulan data kuantitatif terlebih dahulu. Teknik penggambilan data angket dengan proportionate stratified random sampling dan wawancara dengan purposive sampling. Teknik validasi instrumen menggunakan uji validasi isi dan uji validasi konstruk serta triangulasi data untuk menjamin keabsahan data. Teknik analisis menggunakan kriteria penilaian dan reduksi data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan implementasi kecerdasan buatan pada pembelajaran di Prodi PTM UNS berdasarkan 9 indikator. Dari 9 indikator tersebut 2 indikator pada kriteria sangat tinggi, 4 indikator pada kriteria tinggi dan 2 indikator pada kriteria normal. Hasil wawancara menunjukkan bahwa implementasi kecerdasan buatan memberikan dampak positif bagi pembelajaran. Tapi ada beberapa dosen yang kurang mengerti penggunaan AI oleh mahasiswa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the ratio of the composition of the mixture of rice husk and coffee grounds with PP plastic on quantity (volume of pyrolysis oil and distillation results) and quality (yield, density, viscosity, visual and color), as well as to determine the ratio of biomass variation with plastic that produces the most oil and the best quality. This study was conducted by mixing rice husk and coffee grounds biomass with PP plastic in the form of RDF-3 with a variation in composition of 0% : 100%, 25% : 75%, 50% : 50%, 75% : 25%, and 100% : 0%. The pyrolysis results are in the form of oil which is then distilled to separate the compounds contained in it and produce clean oil, then the volume of pyrolysis oil and distillation results is measured, yield testing, density, viscosity, visual and color are tested. The test results showed that there was an effect of a mixture of rice husk and coffee grounds biomass with PP plastic on quantity (volume of pyrolysis oil and distillation results) and quality (yield, density, viscosity, visual and color). The volume of pyrolysis oil and distillation products was the highest ratio of 100% PP with pyrolysis oil of 616.67 ml and distilled oil of 178 ml. The results of the best yield test were obtained with a ratio of 100% PP of 82.39%. The best density test obtained a 100% PP ratio of 846.6 kg/m3, the results of this density lead to the specification of diesel fuel. The viscosity value of the best pyrolysis oil is obtained with a ratio of 100 % PP of 0.65499 cP which leads to the specification of gasoline type fuel. The best visual and color testing of pyrolysis oil was obtained with a ratio of 100% PP with a clear and bright visual appearance with a clear yellow color, which is in accordance with the specifications of diesel and gasoline fuel. It was concluded that the best configuration was obtained with a ratio of 100% PP which led to the specification of diesel fuel.

Abstract

Kebutuhan bahan bakar yang meningkat seiring meningkatnya jumlah penduduk serta kemajuan industri, sementara cadangan bahan bakar fosil terus berkurang. Masyarakat juga dihadapkan oleh permasalahan meningkatnya jumlah sampah, baik dalam bentuk organik maupun anorganik. Dalam hal ini limbah kayu mahoni dan limbah plastik polypropylene yang masih jarang dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat dapat menjadi solusi untuk dijadikan bahan bakar alternatif diolah dengan proses pirolisis. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi rasio komposisi limbah gergaji kayu mahoni dan limbah plastik polypropylene terhadap kuantitas minyak hasil pirolisis.  Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara melakukan proses pirolisis terhadap campuran biomassa limbah gergaji kayu mahoni dan limbah plastik polypropylene dengan rasio komposisi 100%:0%, 75%:25%, 50%:50%, 25%:75%, dan 0%:100% selama 90 menit selanjutnya dilakukan pengujian minyak pirolisis meliputi uji kuantitasnya. Terdapat adanya pengaruh variasi rasio komposisi campuran biomassa serbuk gergaji kayu mahoni dan limbah plastik polypropylene terhadap kuantitas minyak hasil pirolisis. Kuantitas terbanyak dihasilkan oleh campuran 100% limbah plastik polypropylene karena kuantitas minyak hasil pirolisis dipengaruhi oleh jenis bahan baku, jumlah bahan baku, dan temperatur pemanasan yang dicapai saat proses pirolisis.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the effect of the composition ratio of oil from coconut fiber waste biomass and rice husks as well as polypropylene (PP) plastic which is not optimally utilized and can be used as an alternative fuel processed through the pyrolysis process. This research was conducted by mixing biomass of coconut fiber and rice husk with PP plastic in the form of refuse-derived fuel (RDF)-3 with compositional variations of 100:0%, 75:25%, 50:50%, 75:25%, and 0:100% for 60 minutes. The pyrolysis product in the form of oil was then distilled to separate the compounds contained in it and produce pure oil. Next, quantity (volume of pyrolysis oil and distilled oil) and quality (yield, density, viscosity, visual, and color) tests were carried out. The results of the study showed that there is an influence of the variation in the composition ratio of the mixture of biomass of coconut fiber and rice husk and PP plastic on its quantity and quality. The highest quantity was obtained from the 100% PP ratio and the best quality was obtained from the 100% PP ratio, which leads to the specifications of solar fuel oil.

Abstract

As fossil fuel resources decline, vortex water turbines offer a promising renewable energy alternative by utilizing river flow. This experimental research aims to analyze the effect of blade distance from the outlet and transmission ratio on the electrical power and efficiency produced by vortex water turbines as a renewable energy solution. Three variations of blade distance from the outlet (20 mm, 40 mm, and 60 mm) and three variations of transmission ratio (1:3, 1:4, and 1:5) were tested under seven water flow rate variations of 27.8 l/min, 33.68 l/min, 34.11 l/min, 34.54 l/min, 34.97 l/min, 35.4 l/min, and 35.83 l/min. Data were collected for 5 minutes, with a 10-second interval for each parameter. Test results show that the highest electrical power of 4.88 watts was achieved at a blade distance of 20 mm from the outlet, a transmission ratio of 1:5, and a water flow rate of 35.83 l/min. Meanwhile, the highest turbine efficiency of 11.25% was obtained at a blade distance of 20 mm from the outlet, a transmission ratio of 1:3, and a water flow rate of 35.83 l/min. Increasing blade–outlet distance reduced both power and efficiency, while higher transmission ratios increased power but decreased efficiency due to torque–speed trade-offs. These results confirm that the distance between the blade and the outlet, and the transmission ratio, are critical parameters for optimizing performance of vortex turbines. A blade distance closer to the outlet provides the best performance and a larger transmission ratio will also improve performance, although transmission loading must also be considered.
