Abstract

The purpose of this study was to conduct a study related to what factors caused the occurrence of a broken motorcycle rear shock breaker at the under bracket. Shock breaker is a very important component as a damper from shock loads and shocks experienced by the vehicle under various loading conditions and the road surface traversed. This study is a follow-up to the cases the team found in the field. The next research step, begins with a literature review, determining the test flow based on the hypothesis, conducting tests on the samples obtained, analyzing the test data and finally making research conclusions. This research method was carried out sequentially from beginning to end. This can have an impact on consumer confidence in motorcycle related products, 27% for FOB incoterms, 23% for delivery services using CIF incoterms, 12% for EXW incoterms and 8% for DPU incoterms.

Abstract

The measurement of the dimensions of a motorized vehicle is sometimes not carried out correctly and according to the measurement procedure which results in a size difference between the sizes listed on the Type Test Registration Certificate (SRUT) and the results of measurements in the field. The difference in size can result in the vehicle exceeding the specified dimensions or commonly referred to as over dimension and over loading (ODOL) conditions. The over- dimensional and over-loading (ODOL) vehicles will result in state losses in the form of road repair costs due to over-loading violations and/or over-size violations and result in an increase in the potential for traffic accidents due to over-dimensional and over-loading. One of the causes of errors in the process of measuring the dimensions of motorized vehicles is the process of measuring dimensions which are still done manually by motorized vehicle testers using a roll meter. These manual measurements are sometimes not carried out exactly at the measuring point and according to the size point of view so that the measurement results will be different from what they should be.

Abstract

The growth of vehicles in Indonesia can lead to an increased risk of traffic accidents due to road user traffic violations, one of which is the Over Dimension Overloading (ODOL) vehicle violation. The unavailability of an application to calculate the specific payload capacity for Motor Vehicle Examiners to automatically test the calculation of the load capacity of a motorized vehicle, trailer and attached carriage is an important problem. This application is designed using the Android Studio IDE and Java programming with PHP as an intermediary xml and MySQL database. The analytical method used to formulate an application program design and system design is carried out to facilitate users. From the results of testing this application is said to be accurate and fast in carrying out the process of calculating the carrying capacity. The advantages of this application can provide consideration of whether or not a vehicle is able to withstand the strength of the carrying capacity in accordance with the carrying capacity of the vehicle and provide the results of adjusting the carrying capacity according to standards so as to reduce violations of Over Dimension Overloading (ODOL) vehicles on the highway.
