Abstract

"COVID-19" (Coronavirus Disease 2019) was officially announced by WHO on February 11th, 2020 as a new disease. SARS-CoV-2 infection in humans causes symptoms of acute respiratory disorders.‎ In NTT province there has been 6,365 confirmed positive corona, with 2,924 of whom were in Kupang City.‎ One way to prevent the spread of the pandemic is with a vaccine. In Kupang City, 39,896 or 4.54% of the provincial target had received stage 1 and 2 of vaccinations. This was still far from the expected target. To find out the relationship between the knowledge level and the anxiety level of the community of Kupang City on the COVID-19 vaccine. This research was an observational analytic study using a cross-sectional method. The sample in this study was selected using non-probability sampling with a total of 232 respondents. This study was analyzed by univariate and bivariate analysis using the Somers'd correlation test, after that a comparative test using Mann Whitney. The results showed that 220 respondents (94.8%) had a good knowledge level, 9 respondents (3.9%) had a moderate knowledge level and 3 respondents (1.3%) had a low knowledge level. Then 224 respondents (96.6%) did not experience anxiety disorders, 7 respondents (3.0%) had mild anxiety disorders, and 1 respondent (0.4%) had moderate anxiety disorders. The results of the bivariate test using the Somers'd correlation test showed p = 0.022 or p < 0.05 indicating that there was a significant relationship between the knowledge level and the anxiety level of the community of Kupang City on the COVID-19‎ vaccine. The results of the Mann Whitney test showed p = 0.497 or p > 0.05 indicating that there was no significant difference between the anxiety levels of respondents who have not and those who have received the COVID-19 vaccine. There was a significant relationship between the knowledge level and the anxiety level of the community of Kupang City on the COVID-19‎ vaccine. There was no significant difference between the anxiety level of respondents who have not and those who have received the COVID-19 vaccine‎.

Abstract

On August 6, 2021, the State of NTT confirmed that 41,539 people tested positive for Corona and 790 people died. As one of the states most affected by COVID-19. Transmission of COVID-19 can be prevented through knowledge and attitudes, which influence appropriate preventive actions in communities. One of them is a health student. Health students, especially students, are actively participating in current health trends as they are at the forefront of future healthcare facilities. This study aims to apply the health protocols that have been established. First, most students maintain physical distancing or keep their distance when leaving the house or doing activities in crowds. This study used an analytical observational research method with a cross-sectional approach and a qualitative method with random interviews. Based on the results of the survey and discussion above, 86.9% of Nusa Cendana University students are motivated by good knowledge about COVID-19. 90.6% of students at Nusa Cendana University are motivated by their positive attitude towards COVID-19. 90.0% of Nusa Cendana University students are motivated to take preventive measures against COVID-19. Based on the conclusion, there is a significant one-way relationship between knowledge and behavior of preventing COVID-19 in online learning methods with sufficient correlation strength (p<0.05 and r=0.415) in Nusa Cendana University students. There is a significant one-way relationship between attitudes and behavior to prevent COVID-19 in online learning methods with sufficient correlation strength (p<0.05 and r=0.450) in Nusa Cendana University students.

Abstract

Knowledge and attitudes about COVID-19 prevention behavior are very important, especially for health workers themselves, because currently there are health workers who have been confirmed positive for COVID-19. This causes several negative impacts that cause a lot of losses not only for the health workers but for families and students. Research on the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on behavioral motivation and online methods for students has never been done, especially in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), especially at Undana Medical Faculty. FK Undana is a public lecturer faculty in NTT. Therefore, researchers are interested in conducting research on "The Effect of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Behavioral Motivation and Online Methods for UNDANA Medical Faculty Students". To increase knowledge about research in general (theoretical) and increase knowledge about COVID-19 in relation to looking at the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on behavioral motivation and online methods for students. The type of research conducted is quantitative and qualitative research using analytical research design and cross sectional design. This research design is used to examine qualitatively in the interview results. The implementation of the online learning system is still not optimal, with the absence of a learning system study report, a learning system feedback report. The supporting factor in the online learning system is that all lecturers and students understand technology and are accustomed to using the internet. An internet service system that already supports teaching and learning activities. The obstacle factor in the online learning system is that the work of lecturers becomes an obstacle to the teaching and learning process considering that their busyness has increased due to the COVID-19 pandemic, especially prioritizing the service of COVID-19 patients. Students are not ready for a sudden change from an offline learning system to an online learning system.
