Abstract

Prevention of the COVID-19 virus can be done by regularly washing hands or using hand sanitizer. This step can prevent the COVID-19 virus from sticking to the surface of the skin.. Therefore, the availability of hand washing soap is urgent as an initial step for corona prevention. The availability of hand soap can be provided independently in the community because the liquid laundry soap can be processed with palm oil. It can be an opportunity for the palm oil community to produce and fulfill the needs community. Handling problems by the community in the era of the covid 19 pandemic are related to understanding and insight for preventing Covid 19 from the family environment, one of which is the awareness of washing hands as often as possible using soap. Therefore, knowledge of producing crude palm oil-based liquid soap in communities around oil palm plantations as well as knowledge of the role of palm-based liquid soap for sanitation and entrepreneurial opportunities are good. This community service activity was conducted through counseling and training related to the manufacture of crude palm oil-based liquid soap for the community of oil palm farmers around the Cipta Prima Sejahtera Professional Services Cooperative in Jilatan Village, Tanah Laut Regency. The activity was to provide knowledge about palm oil and liquid soap-based palm oil that are easy to prepare. During the Covid 19 period, hand washing activities are important as a preventive measure, so the availability of liquid soap independently needs to be produced. The evaluation showed that the training participants were very satisfied with this training, gave a very good response regarding the usefulness and sustainability of this community service activity, and hoped that it could be followed up regarding business sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the type of packaging and storage time on the chemical composition and rice cooking quality by utilizing the respiration generated heat of freshly harvested rice. “Siam Pandak” variety of freshly harvested rice stored in black plastic bag and tarpaulin with storage time of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 days. The results showed that the accumulation of respiration heat of freshly harvested rice during storage is only capable of raising the temperature in the packaging up to 28 – 31°C, slightly higher than room temperature ranging between 26 – 29°C. Types of packaging and storage time could increase water absorption capacity, protein and fiber contents; and reduce fat and carbohydrate contents. The increase in water absorption capacity was obtained in black plastic bag with storage time of one day, which amounted to 298.27% (an increase of 27.74% compared to control), the highest protein content with storage time of two days with a protein content of 8.56% (an increase of 7.31% compared to control), fiber content in the tarp packaging with storage time of five days, which amounted to 2.40% (an increase of 96.46% compared to control).

Abstract

AbstrakGas Chromatography (GC) merupakan suatu metode standar dalam kurikulum pendidikan sains kimia. Metode ini berupa alat yang mampu memisahkan dan menganalisis senyawa multi komponen berdasarkan data fisiknya. Biasanya ukuran alat adalah besar dengan harga yang mahal. Namun, alat ini dapat dirangkai secara sederhana dengan menggunakan bahan-bahan disekitar (https://youtu.be/w9OMFAAPV0I). Metodologi perakitan mengunakan kompresor, pipa kapiler, elemen panas dan detektor alkohol. Bahan uji berupa fermentasi buah-buahan dan dipraktekkan kepada mahasiswa semester 5 Program Studi Kimia, Universitas Lambung Mangkurat. Metode Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) digunakan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa terhadap alat GC. Sebelumnya mahasiswa menganggap alat adalah GC rumit (74.4%), mahal (51.2%), tidak bisa dirakit sendiri (39.5%), berukuran besar (51.2%). Namun, setelah terlibat dalam kegiatan perakitan alat GC, persepsi mahasiswa terhadap alat tersebut berubah yaitu rumit (23.3%), mahal (11.6%), tidak bisa dirakit sendiri (0%), berukuran besar (16.3%), simpel (44.2%), biaya terjangkau (37.2%), bisa dirakit sendiri (65.1%) serta berukuran kecil (37.2%). Abstract

The selection of the right timing for the harvest of oil palm fresh fruit bunch (FFB) can affect the outcome of the palm fruit quality, which can further imply the quality of crude palm oil (CPO). Truly ripen fruits can boost the yield and quality of crude palm oil. The determination of fruit ripeness is done with an approach to estimating the time of the harvest cycle and the approximate number of palm oil fruits that are detached from their bunches (loose-fruit). The study aimed to investigate the exact harvesting time with variations in the number of palm oil fruits that loose at each additional day after the occurrence of one or two fruitlets detach. The parameters used to test the quality of palm oil fruit harvested were the level of free fatty acids (FFA) and the yield of crude palm oil. The variation used was based on two factors: the number of days after the discovery of the fruit loose released from its bunch and the planting plant. The results of Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) showed that the quality of oil palm fruit corresponded to the percentage of the number of palm oil fruits detached from their bunch and the age of the plant. Based on the results obtained, the optimal harvest time can be carried out until the sixth day after the first time of detached fruits for all planting ages. Keywords:   Crude palm oil, Free fatty acid, Analysis of variance test, Fruit loose, Plant age

Abstract

Tulisan ini, sebagai bagian program kegiatan masyarakat di desa Dukuhrejo, Kecamatan Mantewe, Kabupaten Tanah Bumbu, tahun 2017, 2018, 2022 dan 2023; dan Minggu Raya, Banjarbaru, 2021. Di desa ini, terdapat beberapa lukisan cadas yang diindikasikan terhubung dengan kegiatan masyarakat sekarang ini, seperti aktivitas manusia di atas perahu, kisaran 5.000 tahun lalu. Pengetahuan perubahan-perubahan bentuk (evolusi) perahu kayu atau jukung merupakan hal penting untuk dipelajari bagi pemandu wisata di desa Dukuhrejo. Kebanyakan para pemandu wisata adalah para milineal di desa itu. Adapun narasi ringkasan kegiatannya sebagai berikut; Evolusi arkeologi meliputi perubahan-perubahan bukti empirik masa lalu atau artifak, antara lain, bahan, motif, waktu, peristiwa, lingkungan dan proses tinggalan arkeologi. Bukti empirik ini dapat diselidiki menghasilkan informasi saintifik, bukan sekedar cerita mitologi atau febula. Sebagai contoh, semua narasi lukisan cadas (rock art) perahu itu bermanfaat bagi pemandu wisata dan masyarakat sekitar untuk digunakan sebagai potensi wisata yang menghasilkan green economic. Hasil evaluasi menunjukan bahwa calon pemandu wisata dan/atau milinial mampu mengerti atas hal-hal yang terhubung antara perubahan lukisan cadas arkeologi dan kepribadian berkebudayaan. Respon publik (masyarakat) milinial tentang kegiatan ini dapat diketahui dengan mengunakan metode structural equation modelling (SEM) melibatkan wawancara 47 milineal. Hasil pretest dan post test terhadap 47 responden menunjukan rata-rata pemahaman, sebagai berikut; sangat mengerti (15,62 %), mengerti (59,16667 %), kurang mengerti (26,25 %) dan tidak mengerti (0,0 %). Hasil tersebut terkait beberapa pemahaman tentang pengetahuan perubahan lukisan cadas dan manfaatnya bagi peningkatan konomi desa Dukuhrejo.Kata kunci: green economic, desa Dukuhrejo dan lukisan cadas

Abstract

Program kegiatan masyarakat (PKM), bagian kegiatan inspiratif untuk membuat tulisan terkait arkeologis masyarakat. Terutama sumber daya wisata di desa Dukuhrejo, Kecamatan Mantewe, Kabupaten Tanah Bumbu, tahun 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022 dan 2023. Perkembangan terakhir desa ini menjadi desa edukasi wisata (eduwisata). Edukasi karena terdapat lukisan cadas (rock art), bermotif “kotak-kotak dan titik-titik” sebagai indikasi bagaimana simbol bahasa itu awal mula (origin) ada. Para pemandu wisata perlu untuk diasuh dengan basis pengetahuan yang cukup. Adapun ringkasan rock art “kota-kotak dan titik” sebagai simbol asal mula bahasa dapat dijelaskan sebagai berikut; Bahasa mengalami evolusi melalui perubahan kata-kata, huruf/phonem yang ditandai perubahan simbol berupa titik dan kotak-kotak. Walaupun bahasa sendiri adalah bukan sekedar kata-kata. Dalam komunikasi manusia, pilihan atas kata-kata mampu membangkitkan emosi terkuat dan mendorong semua tindakan manusia, sebagai respon bentuk komunikasi. Perubahan kata-kata memiliki kekuatan untuk perubahan kekuatan emosi. Pada kasus evolusi bahasa Austronesia Nusantara telah menghasilkan varian kebudayaan/tradisi yang berbeda-beda di Asia Tenggara, dalam rentang waktu ribuan tahun. Perubahan kata dan huruf berarti mengubah emosi cita rasa bahasa, dan menghasilkan varian budaya/tradisi, atau tutur bahasa. Hasil pretest dan post test terhadap responden, rata-rata pemahaman menunjukan, sebagai berikut; sangat mengerti (17,08333 %), mengerti (60,61667 %), kurang mengerti (20,8 %) dan tidak mengerti (0,0 %). Hasil ini dievaluasi dengan mengunakan metode structural equation modelling (SEM) melibatkan wawancara 47 milineal. Hasil ini menunjukan bahwa milinial dapat mengerti atas hal-hal yang terhubung dengan evolusi bahasa, yang terhubung dengan kepribadian berkebudayaan Austronesia Nusantara.Kata kunci: unit evolusi bahasa, kata dan huruf, titik dan kotak

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a prediction model for the nutrient content of N, P, K, Mg, and Ca in oil palm leaves using the Normalized Difference RedEdge (NDRE) vegetation index derived from multispectral camera data. Data acquisition was carried out by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), which was correlated to leaf sample analysis of the 17th frond number. Results showed that simple regression analysis successfully represented nutrient content (N, P, K, Mg, and Ca) based on NDRE values. Based on the MAPE and Correctness values, the nutrient content prediction model for N and P yields reliable results, while for K, Mg, and Ca, they are considered good, with Correctness values of 95.5%, 96.6%, 88.8%, 87.3%, and 90.0% for N, P, K, Mg, and Ca, respectively. The study found that the NDRE vegetation index can be used to predict the nutrient content of oil palm leaves with  reliable results in accuracy for N and P, and good accuracy for K, Mg, and Ca. This is a promising finding, as it could lead to the development of a non-destructive and rapid method for monitoring the nutrient status of oil palm trees, with the validation models for N, P, K, Mg, and Ca are yN = 1.1089x - 0.2497, yP = 0.99x + 0.002, yK = 1.204x - 0.1576, yMg = 0.9149x + 0.0183, and yCa = 1.0418x - 0.0218. Keywords: Multispectral Cameras, Oil Palm, Leaf Nutrient Contents, Prediction.
