Abstract

The increasing deployment of intelligent systems across healthcare, industrial automation, smart cities, transportation, and edge-computing environments has intensified concerns regarding privacy, data sovereignty, and secure collaborative learning. This study evaluates the effectiveness of Federated Learning (FL) as a privacy-preserving paradigm capable of supporting distributed intelligence without requiring centralized data collection. An empirical experimental design was implemented using a federated architecture consisting of decentralized client nodes, a central aggregation server, the Federated Averaging algorithm, and integrated secure aggregation with differential privacy mechanisms. Experimental evaluation was conducted through repeated validation under heterogeneous client configurations and varying data distributions. The results demonstrate that the proposed framework achieved strong predictive performance, attaining 93.41% accuracy and 95.28% AUC-ROC while maintaining stable convergence under non-identically distributed data conditions. Security evaluation revealed substantial reductions in model inversion, membership inference, and gradient leakage attacks, confirming the effectiveness of the implemented privacy-preserving mechanisms. Scalability analysis further indicated that the framework maintained reliable performance across expanding client populations with acceptable communication overhead and computational efficiency. The findings confirm that Federated Learning provides a practical and scalable foundation for trustworthy intelligent systems by balancing predictive effectiveness, privacy protection, security resilience, and operational feasibility in distributed environments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the e-business strategy implemented by PT Damri, a state-owned transportation company in Indonesia. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through literature studies and analyzed using PEST, SWOT, Porter's Five Forces, and Value Chain analysis. The results show four key findings: (1) PEST analysis identifies technological factors (4G/5G, cloud computing, IoT) as the primary drivers of digital opportunity, while social barriers (digital divide, low literacy) remain the main challenges; (2) Porter's Five Forces reveals high buyer bargaining power and high competitive rivalry as the most critical external pressures requiring digital differentiation; (3) SWOT analysis positions PT Damri in the SO (Strengths-Opportunities) quadrant, indicating that brand strength and extensive route networks should be leveraged to capitalize on growing smartphone penetration; (4) Value Chain analysis shows that marketing & sales and customer service activities derive the highest benefit from e-business integration. Based on these findings, the study recommends strengthening the digital platform, strategic partnerships with travel and fintech platforms, digital training for employees, and phased digital transformation to minimize disruption.

Abstract

Abstract

Maternal health is a crucial indicator of public health quality, yet monitoring in rural areas is often conducted manually with low technological literacy. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of technology-based education using a web-based application in improving health cadres' knowledge and skills regarding pregnancy danger signs, maternal and child nutrition, and early pregnancy risk detection. The method used is a participatory approach based on community engagement adapted with a design sprint framework, encompassing understand, define, develop, deliver, and evaluate stages. The activity involved 30 health cadres in Karangrau Village through counseling, discussions, and web-based application simulations. Evaluation used a descriptive Likert-scale pre-test and post-test questionnaire. Results showed a significant improvement in participants' understanding, with average scores increasing from 89% in the pre-test to 99% in the post-test. The use of a web-based application proved effective in concretely visualizing health data. In conclusion, the integration of participatory education and interactive technology effectively enhances cadre capacity and has the potential to become a sustainable educational model. This program is expected to encourage the utilization of simple technology as a medium for delivering health information at the community level.

Abstract

This study creates an online Decision Support System (DSS) using the TOPSIS algorithm to fairly choose outstanding teachers from vocational schools in Bekasi City, which has 87 state and private vocational secondary schools with about 62,000 students. To tackle the current biased selection process, our research uses a multi-criteria approach that looks at discipline (25%), travel costs (20%), personality (20%), teaching administration (15%), and learning achievements (20%). Targeting this substantial educational population, our research addresses the current subjective selection process by implementing a multi-criteria approach evaluating discipline (25%), travel costs (20%), personality (20%), teaching administration (15%), and learning achievements (20%). The TOPSIS method was selected for its proven effectiveness in ranking alternatives based on geometric distance from ideal solutions, particularly valuable in large-scale educational contexts. Analysis of 14 teacher candidates from SMK Bina Karya Mandiri demonstrated the system's precision, with Didi Saputra, S.Pdi, emerging as top-ranked (preference value: 0.63). When extrapolated to Bekasi's 87 SMKs, the model shows potential to standardize teacher assessment citywide, reducing regional disparities in recognition practices. The web-based platform enhances accessibility, allowing principals across 21 sub-districts to input localized data while maintaining centralized benchmarking. Key findings reveal (1) discipline and personality collectively account for 45% of exemplary status determination, (2) cost-related factors show inverse correlation with remote school nominations, and (3) system implementation could reduce selection time by ≈68% compared to manual methods. This study contributes both a scalable framework for educational DSS and empirical data on vocational teacher excellence criteria in urban Indonesia.
