Abstract

For the last decades, sharia banking in Indonesia has not reached a good position, in which, based on the last data, sharia banking’s market share is only 5.70%. This research focuses on distributing questionnaires in Banten Province as one of some provinces with its majority citizens are Muslims, namely at 94.62% from a total of 12,448,160 citizens. It is related to a high potential market for sharia banking to develop its business in the Banten Province area. Assets of the sharia banking in Banten Province continuously increased in the last 4 (four) years from 2015 to 2018. The sharia banking’s assets grew 2.35%, namely the 7th position of 10 provinces with the highest asset values. For the last four years, from 2015 to 2018, sharia banking’s third-party funds of Banten Province continuously increased. Whereas, the NPF growth of Banten Province as per June 2018 was 2.03%, in which it was deficient compared to NPF of West Java, Special Region of Jakarta, and Central Java. This research is aimed at analyzing the influence of consumer knowledge, brand image, religiosity, and location to any decision to be sharia bank’s customer by using four hypotheses to be examined using the SEM method. The research sample includes 212 respondents. Results of SEM analysis meet the criteria of goodness of fit index with marginal. The results of this research show that consumer knowledge with product type, product use, and product benefit indicators do not significantly influence the decision to be sharia bank’s customer. Brand image with product attributes, consumer benefit, and brand personality indicators do not significantly influence the decision to be sharia bank’s customer. Religiosity with ritual, ideology, intellectual, experience, and consequence indicators do not significantly influence any decision to be sharia bank’s customer. Location with location accessibility, location smoothness, and location proximity indicators significantly influence any decision to be sharia bank’s customer.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berbentuk asistensi kepada Pemerintah Kota Tangerang Selatan berupa penyusunan kajian kelayakan terhadap usulan Pemanfaatan Barang Milik Daerah dalam bentuk sewa dari salah satu perusahaan pengembang (Calon Penyewa) yang diajukan kepada Pemerintah Daerah Kota Tangerang Selatan melalui unit kerja yang membawahi properti terkait (Unit kerja Pengguna Barang). Kajian ini merupakan realisasi amanat dari Peraturan Menteri Dalam Negeri (Permendagri) nomor 16 tahun 2016. Tujuan penyusunan kajian ini untuk menilai kelayakan harga sewa yang dihitung oleh perusahaan Penilai yang ditunjuk oleh unit kerja Pengguna Barang. Setelah dibandingkan dengan berbagai praktek penentuan tarif sewa di beberapa daerah lain, disimpulkan bahwa tarif sewa yang diajukan unit kerja Pengguna Barang adalah wajar.

Abstract

The Mosque Prosperity Council or Dewan Kemakmuran Masjid (DKM) has a role in managing Islamic funds which include zakat, infaq, sadaqah and waqf, the use of which is aimed at improving the welfare of the people. In order to be able to play its important role in achieving and increasing efficiency and effectiveness in the management of community funds, the Mosque Prosperity Council is expected to have a formulation for performance analysis and determining strategic steps in organizational development. Through a descriptive qualitative approach based on literature or literature review, researchers compiled a balanced scorecard formulation with 4 (four) assessment perspectives, namely financial perspective, learning and growth perspective, internal business process perspective, and customer perspective as an analytical tool for measuring the performance of the Mosque Prosperity Council. By identifying these four perspectives, it is then expected to be able to interpret the condition and performance of the Mosque, so that it can help the Mosque in identifying areas of strength and areas of improvement, as well as formulating strategic goals for the development of its organization. It can also help the Mosque to communicate its progress and impact to stakeholders, including worshipers, donors, government and the wider community.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to uncover how the promotion activity of Universitas Muhammadiyah Enrekang in South Sulawesi Province is implemented according to Islamic business ethics to recruit new students. This research uses qualitative methods, namely by structured interviews with the Promotion Department of Universitas Muhammadiyah Enrekang, in June-August 2022. This research found that Universitas Muhammadiyah Enrekang uses a promotion model that is complied with the Islamic business ethics, which consists of of autonomy, honesty, justice, mutual benefit and moral integrity. This research also reveals that these promotional activities are not merely business activities but have da'wah values. The novelty of this research is in describing how promotion can be done in line with the principles of Islamic business ethics and how business and ethics are two things that be able to in line.

Abstract

Dalam konteks perkembangan global yang pesat, pengintegrasian nilai-nilai Islam ke dalam strategi pemasaran produk kreatif semakin penting. Kemitraan industri muncul sebagai cara yang menjanjikan untuk mempromosikan integrasi ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji peran kemitraan industri dalam mendorong komersialisasi produk kreatif Islami dengan menggunakan studi kasus yang melibatkan siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan. Studi ini menunjukkan melalui studi kasus bagaimana kolaborasi antara industri dan lembaga pendidikan dapat mempromosikan pemasaran produk kreatif dengan nilai-nilai Islami. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memberikan wawasan tentang potensi kemitraan industri-pendidikan untuk tidak hanya mendukung kesuksesan pasar, tetapi juga meningkatkan pemahaman dan apresiasi terhadap produk kreatif Islami di kalangan generasi muda.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat pemahaman nazhir terkait regulasi wakaf uang di Indonesia dengan fokus pada Peraturan Badan Wakaf Indonesia Nomor 1 Tahun 2020. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus tunggal. Teknik pengumpulan data melibatkan wawancara dengan tujuh informan yang merupakan nazhir dari lembaga wakaf di Indonesia. Wawancara dilakukan untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang mendalam dengan menggunakan pedoman wawancara terkait regulasi wakaf uang. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pemahaman nazhir terhadap regulasi wakaf uang di Indonesia secara umum sudah baik. Namun, ada beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat pemahaman nazhir yang perlu diperhatikan. Faktor-faktor tersebut antara lain informasi yang kurang memadai tentang regulasi wakaf uang, kurangnya kesadaran akan pentingnya pemahaman yang mendalam tentang prinsip-prinsip Syariah dalam pengelolaan wakaf uang, dan perbedaan penafsiran regulasi wakaf uang yang dapat mempengaruhi pemahaman nazhir. Implikasi pemahaman nazhir terhadap implementasi regulasi wakaf uang di Indonesia cukup signifikan. Pemahaman yang baik akan memperkuat pengelolaan wakaf uang yang transparan, akuntabel, dan sesuai dengan prinsip syariah. Lebih lanjut, penerapan regulasi wakaf uang di Indonesia telah sesuai dengan ketentuan yang telah ditetapkan, khususnya melalui Peraturan Badan Wakaf Indonesia Nomor 1 Tahun 2020. Penggunaan mata uang rupiah Indonesia dan penerbitan sertifikat wakaf uang sesuai dengan besaran iuran wakaf juga mencerminkan komitmen untuk menjaga kepatuhan dan transparansi dalam pengelolaan dana wakaf. Temuan penelitian memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang tingkat pemahaman nazhir terhadap regulasi wakaf uang di Indonesia dan implikasinya terhadap pengelolaan wakaf yang efektif. Rekomendasi dapat diberikan kepada lembaga wakaf untuk meningkatkan pemahaman nazhir melalui edukasi yang lebih intensif, peningkatan pertukaran informasi, dan peran aktif dalam mempromosikan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang prinsip-prinsip syariah dalam pengelolaan wakaf uang.

Abstract

Capital structure is crucial in the financial management of Islamic banks, which operate under sharia principles. Since the practice of optimal capital structure can ensure the quality of bank operations, it is very important to analyze capital structure issues. This research aims to analyze the variables that determine the capital structure of Islamic bank with Non Performing Financing (NPF) as a moderating variable using the Trade Off Theory and Pecking Order Theory approaches. A quantitative method was used, analyzing panel data from the quarterly financial statement of 12 Indonesia Islamic banks form 2001-2003, using Eviews-12 software. The independent variables include bank size, profitability, Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR), and asset growth, while the dependent variable is the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER). The study results imply that according to Trade Off Theory, Islamic bank in Indonesia balance the tax benefits of debt against bankruptcy costs. Related to Pecking Order Theory, Islamic banks in Indonesia are more likely to follow the order of funding preference, using internal funds first, then debt, and finally equity issuance. NPF as moderating variable, does not moderate all variables affecting capital structure.

Abstract

This study aims to examine strategies to improve Zakat, Infaq, and Sadaqah (ZIS) collection in the city of Batam in the era of digital technology development. Given Batam's rapid growth and the huge potential of an industrial workforce that largely uses digital technology, this study identifies opportunities and challenges in ZIS collection. Descriptive qualitative method was used, with data collected through interviews and literature study. The research findings show that although Baznas Kota Batam has strengths in terms of management and excellent programs, there are still weaknesses in optimizing the potential of ZIS collection. Recommended strategies include strengthening digitalization efforts, improving zakat literacy, and collaborating with various stakeholders to expand the reach of ZIS collection. This research aims to contribute to the development of more effective zakat collection strategies in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate strategies for enhancing agricultural zakat collection in Serdang Bedagai Regency using the Business Model Canvas (BMC) approach and SWOT Analysis. The research focuses on the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of Serdang Bedagai Regency, which is tasked with managing and optimizing zakat collection. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, gathering data through in-depth interviews with BAZNAS personnel and direct observations of zakat collection practices. The findings indicate that the application of BMC enables BAZNAS to develop more innovative and efficient business models, thereby improving zakat collection, particularly for agricultural zakat. SWOT Analysis further highlights internal strengths and weaknesses, along with external opportunities and threats that BAZNAS faces in its zakat collection efforts. The study identifies several critical success factors, including active community participation, ongoing education, and strategic partnerships with various stakeholders. This research offers structured and practical recommendations for BAZNAS Serdang Bedagai to optimize agricultural zakat collection. The effective implementation of these strategies is expected to enhance the welfare of farmers and the wider community in Serdang Bedagai Regency through improved zakat management.
