Abstract

This service activity is a downstreaming of research results by involving PKK in making soap from pineapple weevil extract (waste from pineapple processing). The purpose of this activity is to create entrepreneurs and improve the welfare of the community. Service activities are carried out with the debriefing method regarding the knowledge and skills of making antibacterial dish soap, packaging, product marketing. The results of this program are that the community can produce antibacterial dish soap, increase community welfare, and the formation of MSMEs.

Abstract

Low Back Pain (LBP) sufferers often experience sharp pain triggered by certain postures or movements, which improves after rest and worsens after activity. Signs of inflammation such as heat, discoloration, or swelling are rarely observed. The aim of this activity is to provide appropriate education on treatment to prevent increased pain and changes in posture due to LBP, by offering Neuromuscular Taping (NMT) Treatment and William flexion exercises. This activity employs various approaches, including Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and distribution of leaflets on the role of physiotherapy in LBP education and prevention, as well as educational interventions on neuromuscular taping application and William flexion exercises. This activity yields significant benefits for the health and well-being of LBP sufferers, evidenced by a substantial reduction in pain (p<0.001), with a mean VAS score decreasing from 6.93 ± 0.73 before treatment to 4.07 ± 0.83 after treatment.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, many ways have been done to keep the environment and oneself in a clean, hygienic and healthy state. Many people use products that are made to behave in a healthy life in preventing various types of diseases as an effort to behave in a healthy life while remaining disciplined in carrying out health care procedures. One of the prokes is to wash your hands with soap. Keeping hands clean by using soap is a necessity to prevent exposure to viruses and bacteria. The method used in this service is practice or experimentation to increase public understanding. The purpose of this activity is to provide knowledge to the community in Kubang Jaya Village, Kec. Siak Hulu District. Kampar in making practical organic paper hand soap. This hand soap product can also encourage creativity and interest in trying to become an alternative to MSMEs for the community to become a profitable home-based business opportunity. To achieve this goal, the Abdurrab University community service team has provided training and applied how to produce Organic Paper Hand Soap. The resulting impact shows maximum results, the community is enthusiastic and understands how product manufacturing works, as well as successfully making products well.
