Abstract

Kajian ini membahas tentang perspektif Wahbah Zuhayli tentang sihir. Hal ini dapat diketahui dari interpretasinya terhadap surah al-Baqarah ayat ke-102 yang terdapat pada kitab tafsirnya yang berjudul Tafsir al-Munir fi al-‘Aqidah wa al-Syari’ah wa al-Manh}aj. Tulisan ini termasuk ke dalam penelitian kepustakaan. Di samping itu, tulisan ini menggunkan dua metode untuk memperoleh pengetahuan tentang Zuhayli. Kedua metode tersebut digunakan secara bersamaan. Pertama, biografis, untuk menjelaskan tentang kehidupan, lingkungan serta sosio-kultural yang melatar belakangi tokoh tersebut. Kedua, taksonomis, untuk menjelaskan tentang gagasan dan pemikirannya yang tertuang dalam Tafsir al-Munir fi al-‘Aqidah wa al-Syari’ah wa al-Manh}aj mengenai sihir. Secara umum, Zuhayli memiliki metode penafsiran ayat ahkam khusunya tentang ayat sihir relatif sama dengan mufassir-mufassir yang terdahulu. Akan tetapi, Zuhayli dalam penafsirannya memiliki karakter tersendiri yang ia sesuaikan dengan keahliannya dan mencoba menyesuaikan penafsirannya dengan kondisi dan tununan zaman, sehingga tafsirnya memberikan kontribusi dalam menjawab persoalan umat di era modern ini.this study discusses about witchcraft from a perspective of Wahbah Zuhayli. This study reveals the interpretation of Surah Al Baqarah verses 102 within the exegesis book entitled Tafsir al-Munir al’-Aqidah wa al-Syariah wa al–Manh}aj. This research applies library research. This research also applies two methods in order to obtain knowledge about Zuhayli. These two methods applied in the same time. The first is biographic in which this method is applied to explain about the life, environment, and socio cultural of the actor. The second is taxonomies in order to explain ideas and thought about witchcraft written in Tafsir al Munir al’-Aqidah wa al-Syariah wa al –Manh}aj. Generally, Zuhayli has similar method in interpreting the meaning of verses about witchcraft with other mufassir – mufassir before him. However, Zuhayli in his own interpretation has his own character in which he tries to get his interpretation accustomed to the condition and situation of the people nowadays, so his interpretation gives contribution to answer the problem faced by the people.Kata kunci: sihir, Wahbah Zuhayli, Tafsir al-Munir, Aqidah

Abstract

This article examines the recent studies on al-Shāṭibī's maqāṣid al-sharīʻah (the highest purpose of Islamic Law) through a systematic literature review covering the years 2018-2023. Despite the growing interest in al-Shāṭibī's maqāṣid al-sharīʻah in contemporary discourse, research on this topic remains uncharted and unquantified. This article seeks to address the knowledge gap by examining the strengths and weaknesses of current studies and identifying potential areas for future research. This article employs a systematic literature review (SLR) as its research methodology, examining 20 scholarly articles selected from 139. This article concludes that scholars have studied al-Shāṭibī's maqāṣid al-sharīʻah across various fields, including Law, fiqh, health, language, comparative methodology, daʻwah, Sunnah, and logic. However, these studies rely heavily on literature review methods, with little to no empirical data. Thus, the key novelty of this article lies in uncovering a persistent theoretical bias in current research on maqāṣid, which limits its relevance to real-world legal and social challenges. This finding reveals an urgent need for more applied research that bridges al-Shāṭibī's normative theories with contemporary societal dynamics. This article underscores an opportunity for further research to build on al-Shāṭibī's maqāṣid al-sharīʻah theory through empirical data and to investigate new issues, including technology, education, banking, and Islamic finance.

Abstract

This study examines the use of social media in Living Qur’an learning among Generation Z students, aiming to understand how digital social interaction contributes to the teaching and understanding of Qur’anic teachings. Data were collected through questionnaires and narrative analysis from 203 Generation Z student active on digital social media. A qualitative approach was adopted, and analysis was guided by Marc Prensky’s Digital Learning Theory, danah boyd’s Social Media and Communication Theory, and Lev Vygotsky’s Social Constructivism, providing an interdisciplinary perspective on student engagement. Findings indicate that 48.7% of respondents acknowledged the significant influence of digital social media interactions on their Qur’anic understanding. This research contributes to the discourse on digital platform engagement, emphasizing cyberspace’s role in shaping Islamic comprehension. Limitations include sample homogeneity and the need for more diverse methodological approaches. Future studies are recommended to explore the thematic and contextual influence of social media more comprehensively to develop relevant, engaging, and impactful educational strategies.
