Abstract

As farm managers, farmers must apply financial behavior to ensure that their farms achieve good agricultural performance. Farmers in the city of Pontianak mainly grow horticultural products, especially vegetables. Therefore, the aims of this research are to determine the financial behavior level and vegetable cultivation performance level of farmers in Pontianak City, farmers' financial behavior affects the performance of vegetable farming in Pontianak City, and formulate efforts to improve the financial behavior of vegetable farmers. This study was conducted in the North Pontianak area of Pontianak City, West Kalimantan, with 90 farmers as respondents. Data were analyzed using descriptive, SEM-PLS with SmartPLS 3.0 tools and qualitative. According to data analysis, the financial behavior of vegetable growers in North Pontianak is classified as poor, and vegetable cultivation in North Pontianak is classified as poor. Additionally, the financial behavior of vegetable farmers in the North Pontianak region has a positive and significant impact on agricultural performance. Pontianak City A formalized effort to improve the financial behavior of vegetable farmers in the North Pontianak District is to provide socialization, training, mentoring, and strengthening with regard to financial reporting, particularly good financial management for growing vegetables.

Abstract

Farmer competence is an important factor in increasing rice farming productivity, both from a technical and managerial perspective. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence farmer competence in rice farming in Pajintan Village, East Singkawang District, Singkawang City. The variables studied include age, education level, farming experience, effectiveness of agricultural extension, and government support as independent variables, and farmer competence as the dependent variable. This study used a survey method with 76 rice farmers as respondents. The analysis technique used was multiple linear regression to determine the influence of each factor on farmer competence. Farmer competence was measured based on a combination of technical and managerial aspects through a closed-ended Likert-scale questionnaire. The results showed that factors that significantly influence farmer competence are age, education level, experience, agricultural extension, and government support. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi pengembangan UMKM Rumah Snack Ce Oini di Sekadau menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini melibatkan berbagai pihak seperti pemilik, karyawan, konsumen, supplier, dan instansi terkait dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, serta studi literatur, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk mengidentifikasi kondisi internal (kekuatan dan kelemahan) serta eksternal (peluang dan ancaman). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pemasaran yang diterapkan meliputi pemasaran online melalui media sosial seperti WhatsApp, Instagram, dan Facebook, serta pemasaran offline melalui penjualan door to door dan partisipasi dalam event sosial budaya. Berdasarkan analisis matriks IFE, EFE, SWOT, dan QSPM, strategi yang paling efektif adalah memperluas pemasaran digital, didukung dengan pengembangan paket produk untuk event dan budaya lokal guna meningkatkan daya tarik dan loyalitas pelanggan. Strategi ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan daya saing dan keberlanjutan usaha UMKM.

Abstract

Rice farming is the main source of rice supply, but it still faces the obstacle of low production, which affects farming income. The purpose of this study is to examine the amount of farming income and the factors that affect rice farming income in Gemba Raya Village, Kelam Permai Subdistrict, Sintang Regency. The research was conducted from August 2025 to January 2026 with a sample of 72 rice farmers determined using proportionate stratified random sampling. Income analysis used farm income calculations, while factors affecting income were analyzed using the Cobb-Douglas Unit Output Price profit function. The results of this study show that the average annual income of farmers is Rp. 10,041,131. The analysis of factors affecting income shows that land area, labor wages, and the use of high-quality seeds have a positive and significant effect on rice farming income. The price of NPK fertilizer has a negative and significant effect, while the price of urea fertilizer has no significant effect on income. The price of herbicides has a positive and significant effect on the first planting season. This study concludes that an increase in rice farming income can be achieved through the optimization of land area, the efficient use of labor, and the use of high-quality seeds.
