Abstract

Background of the study: Development of information and communication technology (ICT)Purpose: This research analyzes that using Internet technology of things (IOT), for example in managing large archive-based computing can help archivists to master the technology used in the Industry 4.0.Method: The author uses the method of hermeneutics Ricoeur (Hermeneutics Phenomenology). Hermeneutics method that seeks to bring interpreters at a better understanding of themselves through the activity of which is known as an appropriation. In this hermeneutic, activity is not a dichotomy between the subjective dimension of the subject and the object objectivity.Activities interpret these methodological least cover four categories, namely: objectivation through the structure, distances through writing, distances through the world of the text, and appropriation (or sense of self).Findings: As archivists need to consider the possibility that our jobs become more technical and complex if it wants to stay in the Industry 4.0. As an experienced in archival work, the author himself is still difficult to imagine what it might be like if the archival work associated with the field of biotechnology and nanotechnology as the convergence of these two areas are the development of the field of archives is not too obvious. However, considering that ICT is still the main technology, the authors will be focused in this area just by paying attention to the ongoing trend in this field in relation to archiving. Conclusion: The constancy of this profession will depend on his response to the growing challenges of the digital world and the adaptation of professionalism does.

Abstract

Social networking is a platform where various users with different information needs, and access purposes come together. With this condition, to ensure the security and privacy comfort of users, Anonymity has emerged as a "minimal facility" to secure personal information when users are networking. However, as the characteristics of users evolve over time, there is a shift in usage preferences and compliance with regulations and ethics in social networking spaces. This also leads to the simultaneous growth of malfunctions in Anonymity that lead to unethical actions and even criminal activities. With various issues arising, this paper aims to explore the shift in usage patterns and user characteristics contributing to the emergence of Anonymity deviations in the digital space, using the concepts of digital culture and ethics. Using a literature review method, this research aims to form a comprehensive understanding of the use of Anonymity in the digital space. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a constructivist paradigm, focusing on collecting conceptual and theoretical data as well as supporting data related to freedom of expression, anonymity, participatory culture, and the dominance of subjective knowledge in the digital space over a span of 15 years (2008-2023). The study's results are expected to provide recommendations acceptable to all stakeholders and serve as a basis for further discussion in the same context in the future. The research concludes that Anonymity in the digital space presents challenges related to intellectual property rights, an increase in cybercrime cases, and uncontrolled access to controversial content such as pornography, making government regulation difficult due to technical constraints.

Abstract

This study evaluates the application of the ISO 16175-1:2020 standard in improving digital archive management within the online Police Record Certificate (SKCK) system integrated into the Polri SuperApp at the Bener Meriah Resort Police. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings show that the Polri SuperApp meets most of the functional requirements outlined in ISO 16175-1:2020, particularly in the areas of record creation, discovery, use, access control, and processes related to duplication and redaction. The system effectively enhances information retrieval efficiency through its comprehensive metadata-driven search capabilities and strengthens data security through two-factor authentication, encryption mechanisms, and detailed activity logs. However, the research also identifies notable limitations, especially in terms of system interoperability. The lack of seamless integration between the Polri SuperApp and external systems restricts efficient data exchange. Furthermore, features related to search result personalization and external collaboration require further development. Overall, the study concludes that the Polri SuperApp has made a positive contribution to transparent and accountable digital archive management in public services. Nonetheless, more extensive system integration and functional enhancement are necessary to achieve optimal information retrieval efficiency and fully support public service delivery.

Abstract

Background: As Artificial Intelligence (AI) becomes increasingly pervasive, the technology must be viewed as more than a mere utility for task automation. To preserve human agency, AI integration should facilitate freedom of expression and prevent the systematic marginalization of human roles within the digital ecosystem. Purpose: This study provides a critical elaboration of Luciano Floridi’s Ethics of Information (EOI). The researchers aim to uncover the philosophical essence of Floridi’s thought regarding artificial agents and their moral status within the "infosphere." Methods: Utilizing a comprehensive philosophical literature review and critical analysis, the authors examine Floridi’s core tenets. The study maps the transition from traditional anthropocentric ethics to an information-centric moral framework. Findings: The study reveals that Floridi’s reflection on artificial agents necessitates a radical reassessment of moral accountability. By developing the concept of distributed morality, Floridi shifts the ethical burden from a single point of origin (the designer) to a collective, systemic responsibility that encompasses both the technological architecture and its end-users. Originality/Value: This research highlights a revolutionary ethical model that redefines the relationship between humans and artificial agents. By advocating for a non-anthropocentric approach to moral agency, the study provides a vital framework for ensuring that AI development remains aligned with humanistic values and collective ethical participation.

Abstract

The use of cloud-based storage for electronic archive on one hand can increase transparency of the use of data, but on the other hand it raises challenges in maintaining authenticity, accuracy, and reliability of the data, which is the basis of user trust in the managed data. This article focuses on the efforts to establish data security policies carried out by organizations as part of the process of utilizing, storing, and managing cloud-based data. This article also aims to provide recommendations for future policies, especially on security and trust issues in using cloud as data repository. Method used in this study is a literature review with aim to develop critical thinking on data security aspects in cloud storage systems and explain security and trust issues of data stored in the cloud. In addition, litmaps.co is used to map the distribution of related articles as supporting literature. The finding of this study shows that the problem of data breaches ranks at the top in relation to the security of data stored in the cloud, so the security challenge does not lie with the system or cloud provider, but in the mastery of policies and technology. Therefore, improving data security in cloud storage and cloud data management can be done by choosing the suitable type of cloud, modeling data security architecture according to possible security threats and applying data management principles such as respect des fonds and provenance. Governments can play a role in improving data security by providing privacy policies and cloud data management as well as facilitating the development of blockchain technology to improve data security
