Abstract

ABSTRACT Final project aims to improve the function of brake s in older to provide a level of confort and stability for the rider when braking. For those reasons need to modify drum brakes becames discs on a Yamaha Jupiter Z and apply the technologies CBS (Combi Btake System).Modifications process is among other that, changing the drum brake in to brake discs on the rear brake started by making holes for maunting the discs, the maufacture of the base master rear brakes , changing the lever swinging rear brake, the installation disk, the installaton of brake caliper rear, installation of brake hose, filling brake fluid, and bleeding process. This was followed b y applying technologies in to CBS (Combi Brake System) statrting changing the bolt dealer flurida on the master brake front, installation master clutch as a driving motion of the master flurida front towards the rear brake lever, replacing the hose on the front master and clutch master, and bleeding process.Overal brake performance testing can be done by means of a road test, a variable that is visible is the braking distance at varying speedsKeywords: disk brake, modification, test, Yamaha Jupiter Z.

Abstract

Abstrak Silinder adalah bagian dari ruang bakar mesin yang penting karena silinder merupakan tempat terjadinya pembakaran bahan bakar dengan udara dan juga alur gerak bolak balik piston. Akibat gerakan tersebut akan terjadi gesekan antara silinder dan cincin piston yang menyebabkan keausan pada dinding silinder dan mengakibatkan ukuran silinder menjadi besar sehingga penyekatan ruang bakar menjadi kurang bahkan menjadi bocor. Hal ini akan menyebabkan mesin tidak bertenaga atau tidak jalan sama sekali. Kondisi poros engkol pada mesin juga perlu diperhatikan. Poros engkol adalah komponen dalam mesin yang berfungsi untuk mengubah gerak naik turun piston menjadi gerak putar. Tekanan tiba-tiba dari piston yang terus menerus akan menyebabkan poros engkol menjadi bengkok dan aus. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini menganalisa keausan dinding silinder dan kelolengan poros engkol mesin diesel mitshubisi PS 100. Dari hasil penelitian didapat keausan dinding silinder dan keolengan poros engkol dalam kondisi baik masih dalam batas toleransi, hanya perlu dilakukan sedikit pembersihan kerak hasil pembakaran pada bagian bibir atas silinder. Kata Kunci : Silinder, Poros Engkol, Keausan dan Keolengan.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pembuatan tugas akhir ini dilatar belakangi karena pentingnya kelengkapan sarana yang terdapat di Laboratorium Teknik Mesin Otomotif. Oleh karena itu penulis memiliki suatu gagasan untuk menambah sarana praktikum. Tujuan dari tugas akhir ini guna penambahan media praktikum ini untuk menunjang ilmu yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa khususnya pada ilmu sistem pelumasan yaitu untuk mengetahui konstruksi dan prinsip kerja sistem pelumasan serta dapat menganalisa yang terjadi pada sistem pelumasan mesin Toyota Avanza 1300cc. Pelaksanaan tugas akhir ini dibagi menjadi beberapa proses diantaranya , pembongkaran, pemeriksaan dan pemasangan. Pembongkaran dilaksanakan selama 1 bulan yaitu bulan Juni. Pembongkaran dilakukan terhadap komponen ? komponen dalam sistem pelumasan. Dalam analisa ditemukan beberapa masalah yaitu adanya kebocoran pada karter oli dan cover head cylinder. Kemudian pada proses pemasangan dilakukan beserta penanganan masalah yang dapat dilakukan terhadap masalah yang terjadi pada mesin Toyota Avanza 1300cc tersebut. Hasil dari penambahan media belajar ini yaitu mahasiswa mendapat ilmu dalam pengidentifikasian tentang analisa sistem pelumasan yang dapat menjadi ilmu tambahan untuk mahasiswa Teknik Mesin Otomotif Politeknik Muhammadiyah Pekalongan di masa depan setelah lulus nanti. Abstract

ABSTRACT This plan aims to (1) resulted in the design and construction working drawings thrasher young jackfruit strong, sturdy, safe, and efficient. (2) Getting the results of a performance test Counting Machines young jackfruit better. (3) Getting the calculation analysis Counting Machines Nangka Muda. Three formulation of the problem posed and the third related to planning purposes. The process of designing thrasher young jackfruit is conducted in stages, namely planning and calculation. Analysis techniques include the analysis of power, torque occurring on the shaft and frame construction. Propulsion thrasher young jackfruit is planned to use two electric motors that are tailored to the ability of the electrical power for SMEs which is estimated to average about 900 to 1300 watts. The results of the design produces thrasher young jackfruit with the specifications of length 460 mm, width 360 mm and height 460 mm weight 25 kg. The production capacity thrasher young jackfruit 12 kg / hour. Source of propulsion engine is air-power electric motor of 120 watts and 135 watts with a round of 7500 rpm and 1400 rpm. The power transfer system using a V-belt with a shaft diameter of 12 mm. Frame construction made of angled profiles 30x30mmx2 mm with material St 42 and casing using eyser plate with a thickness of 0.8 mm. Cost is issued to make thrasher young jackfruit is Rp 803,000. Indications of damage that can happen to a thrasher, among others: (1) The chopper blades were in direct contact with the workpiece to be blunt it is necessary to re-sharpening. (2) bearings are subjected to loads on the shaft rotation can occur hilarity. (3) electric motor which imposed exceeds the ability to work, will experience the heat, (4) the belt is experiencing gravity and friction will be loosened and wear. Abstract

ABSTRACTOne of the efforts to produce a motorcycle with high performance is by making modofications to the camshaft. Because they are not satisfied with the manufacturer’s standard camshaft and aim to increase powerand torque using the dynotest test method on a Yamaha Jupiter 110 cc motorcycle, one way is to replace it with an aftermarket camshaft that has a higher lift. The standard is 4,5 mm and the aftermarket camshaft has a 5mmlift it makes more fuel intake and more power..Based on the test result, it is found that using aftermarket camshaft can increase the power and torque for maximum power result on a standard camshaft of 6,7 hp at 5660rpm engine speed and 10,34 Nm of torque at 2819 rpm engine speed then aftermarket camshaft produce 7,6 hp at engine speed. 6087 rpm engine speed and 10,66 Nm of torque at 2765 rpm engine speed.  Keywords : Camshaft, power, and Torque

Abstract

ABSTRACTNow a means of transportation that are rarely loved by the public are old vehicles which are now rarely found  in the community. Such as the problem that  is often found  is that  old  vehicles  have decreased  inperformance and spare parts are difficult to find. This study aims to determine the effect of the carburetor filter on motorcycle engine performance. The research was conducted with an experimental method using a VESPA SPRINT V 150cc bicycle in 1975. The carburetor filter was varied, namely testing the standard filter, testing without filters. Experiments were carried out using the dynotest test tool. Measurement of engine speed and dynotest roller rotation. Premium fuel consumtion meansurement. The test result data is processed to obtain power and torque. The results of these calculations are displayed in tables and graphs. Based on the test result, it is found that the maximum power increases without an air filter with a result of 6.0hp at 8013rpm while the maximum torque increases with an air filter with a result of 6.0nm at 6268rpm.Keywords : Performance, Air Filter, Vespa.

Abstract

Technological developments that continue to develop today are increasingly making it easier for humans to do their jobs, as well as what is happening in the automotive world with the new technology it will make it easier for mechanics to do their jobs because of demands from consumers or the desires of the mechanics themselves who continue to grow to know the influence of standard crankshaft changes and modifications. crankshaft crf230 xiema diablo on power and torque on a motorcycle honda gl-100. This test was carried out using a dynotest tool, the effect of changing the standard crankshaft and modifications on power and torque on a motorcycle honda gl-100 using Pertamax Plus fuel with the result 25.7 Hp at engine speed is 8193Rpm, while the maximum torque results is 22.56 Nm at engine speed of 8979 Nm.Keywords: Crankshaft, Power and Torque
