Abstract

Human Resource Management (HRM) is a strategic component within the healthcare system that directly influences service quality and organizational performance. This review aims to identify and analyze literature discussing the roles, challenges, and strategies of HRM in the context of health services. The literature search was conducted through databases including PubMed, ScienceDirect, Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), ResearchGate, Google Scholar, and Academia.edu using the keywords "human resource management", "health services", and "healthcare workforce" for articles published between 2019 and 2024. The findings highlight major HRM issues such as healthcare workforce shortages, excessive workloads, low staff retention, and suboptimal continuous training. Effective strategies identified include strengthening HR planning, capacity development, incentive-based approaches, and the use of information technology. These findings offer significant implications for policymakers and hospital managers in improving the effectiveness of healthcare workforce management. To address the key challenges in human resource management within healthcare services, it is recommended to implement need-based and data-driven workforce planning.

Abstract

Abstract

Perinatal mental health disorders represent a significant global public health challenge, contributing directly to the risks of preeclampsia, preterm birth, and impaired fetal cognitive development. Globally, the prevalence of perinatal depression was estimated at 11.9 percent; however, in Indonesia, maternal anxiety rates were remarkably high, reaching 43.2 percent. This study aimed to analyze early detection strategies and non-pharmacological interventions that can be directly integrated into routine antenatal care. This systematic review followed the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) protocol by searching the literature on Scopus and PubMed databases. Inclusion criteria include peer-reviewed studies for the period 2020–2025 that focus on the prevalence, screening, and non-pharmacological interventions of pregnant women's mental health. The methodological quality of the study was assessed with the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) Critical Appraisal Checklist. Out of a total of 5,206 articles identified, 11 medium to high quality articles were selected for analysis. The findings indicated that the use of validated screening instruments and digital innovations, such as artificial intelligence, can accurately predict depression risk. Mindfulness interventions are effective for daily stress regulation, while cognitive behavioral therapy remains the primary standard for more severe clinical cases. This study emphasized the vital importance of digitalizing screening instruments integrated with electronic health records and enhancing the competence of midwives as mental health facilitators to reduce maternal morbidity nationwide.

Abstract

The Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) is one of the government’s strategic policies aimed at improving students’ nutritional status and learning quality, particularly at the junior high school level. Early adolescence, aged 13–15 years, is a critical growth period that requires optimal nutritional intake, while national surveys still indicate deficiencies in energy and protein intake among this age group. This study aims to describe the implementation of the MBG Program and the level of student satisfaction as direct beneficiaries. The research employed a quantitative descriptive design conducted over one month in the working area of SPPG Yayasan Bina Bangsa Semarang, Gunungpati, Semarang City. The sample consisted of 101 junior high school students selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected through structured questionnaires covering program implementation and student satisfaction aspects. The findings revealed that most students assessed the program implementation as high to very high. Student satisfaction was also categorized as high, particularly regarding food quality, portion adequacy, cleanliness, safety, and service. The MBG Program was considered effective in improving learning concentration, reducing unhealthy snacking habits, and encouraging healthy eating patterns. This study concludes that the MBG Program has been implemented effectively and is relevant in supporting sustainable improvements in students’ nutritional status and educational quality.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Accurate and consistent anthropometric data are essential for reliable interpretation of toddler nutritional status based on WHO Z-score. The use of Internet of Things (IoT)-based toddler scales enables automated integration between anthropometric measurements and the data management system; however, the reliability and integrity of the generated data require systematic evaluation prior to their application in growth monitoring. This study aimed to assess the measurement performance and data integrity of an IoT-based toddler scale through standard calibration testing, as well as to examine the potential impact of measurement error on Z-score variation and nutritional status classification. An applied experimental approach was employed by adopting medical device calibration principles. The scale was tested under static conditions using reference weights and standardized measurements to evaluate the accuracy and repeatability of body weight and height measurements. Measurement data were automatically recorded, stored in a centralized databased, and analyzed for growth chart visualization and z-score-based nutritional status classification. The evaluation demonstrated a maximum measurement error of 1,25% for body weight and 0% for height measurements. Quantitative simulation indicated that a ±1,25% measurement error at a nominal body weight of 10 kg could result in a ±0,18SD variation in z-score. Such variation may lead to a shift in nutritional status classification when measurements are located near the -2SD threshold. Although the observed measurement errors were relatively small, their impact on nutritional status classification may be significant under specific conditions. Calibration-based evaluation underscores the importance of measurement accuracy and data integrity as essential prerequisites for the technical readiness of IoT-based systems to support toddler growth monitoring.  Keywords: Internet of Things, Toddler Growth Monitoring, Measurement Accuracy, Data Integrity, Z-Score.
