Abstract

Introduction: the teaching and learning process in the Faculty of Dentistry around the world during the COVID-19 Pandemic has a challenge, where institutions must continue to carry out educational processes for the community and produce quality dentists. Purpose: to find out the educational process of dental faculties in the world during the COVID - 19 Pandemic. Methods: using a narrative review with online databases and the BMC Oral Health website, PubMed, and Google Scholar. The references used are from 2021 - 2022. Conclusion: Dentistry students can play a role in preventing and handling the COVID-19 outbreak by embedding E-learning and government regulations are needed in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Empathy is closely related to the field of Health and plays an important role in patient health relationships. Empathy is the standard of the therapeutic relationship between doctors and patients, according to research it has been proven that empathy affects patient care outcomes. By using a literature study approach to various research results and other literature, this journal aims to provide an overview of doctors' empathy factors in treating patients based on various scientific literature related to research results that have been carried out. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the attitude of doctors towards patients when performing treatment is one of the keys to the success of patient care. If doctors experience obstacles in showing empathy, the success of patient care will decrease, and vice versa

Abstract

Introduction: There are many advantages to dentistry when combined with internet and telecommunications technology. Teledentistry facilitates communication between patients and various healthcare providers. The goal is to find out how knowledgeable and how the dentistry faculty lecturers feel about teledentistry. Materials and Procedures: Making use of a self-administered structured questionnaire, descriptive Prof. Dr. Moestopo (Beragama) University's faculty of dentistry conducted a cross-sectional study with 11 items. Findings: A total of sixty people answered the survey. According to the results of the current study, there are 45 lecturers (75%) who have good knowledge of teledentistry, 12 lecturers (20%) who have fair knowledge, and 3 lecturers (5%), who have poor knowledge. In conclusion, the majority of the lecturers at the Prof. Dr. Moestopo (Beragama) University Dentistry Faculty were well-versed in teledentistry.

Abstract

Teledentistry is a combination of telecommunications and dentistry involving the exchange of clinical information and images over remote distances for dental and oral consultation and treatment planning. Knowledge and attitude of dentists towards teledentistry are needed as an effort to increase access to dental and oral health care in terms of environmental aspects, awareness, and health management including prevention and treatment, as well as to understand the utilization and challenges that will be faced in patients dental and oral health problems. Objective: To conduct an integrative review of scientific evidence that explains the knowledge and attitude of dentists towards teledentistry. Method: Reviewed of twelve (12) journals from Ebsco, Pubmed, Google Scholar, ResearchGate databases, textbooks, and various other international journals websites, using international keywords knowledge, attitude, dentists, teledentistry.
