Abstract

Kemampuan verbal memegang peranan penting dalam perkembangan kognitif dan akademis anak. Kemampuan verbal juga mendukung pemahaman anak dalam menguasai mata pelajaran yang berimbas langsung pada kemampuan akademisnya. Model induktif kata bergambar merupakan salah satu metode pembelajaran yang fokus pada penguasaan dan pengembangan kosakata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model induktif kata bergambar dalam meningkatkan kemampuan verbal. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain mengunakan dua kelompok yang diamati. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas 3 sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Kudus yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen. Pengambilan subjek didasarkan pada observasi dan wawancara dengan kriteria yang telah ditetapkan oleh peneliti. Pengukuran dilakukan saat pretes dan posttes menggunakan alat tes WISC. Tes WISC merupakan tes inteligensi yang biasa digunakan untuk mengukur taraf kecerdasan anak usia 5 tahun hingga 15 tahun. Pemberian perlakuan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode pembelajaran model induktif kata bergambar. Analisis statistik yang digunakan dalam penelitian menggunakan analisis uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan dengan skor 0,49 yang termasuk pada kategori sedang dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 27,58%.

Abstract

Pesantren memberikan banyak kontribusi positif bagi sistem pendidikan nasional di negara kita. Karakteristiknya yang khas, dimana para santri mendapatkan pendidikan berupa ilmu keagamaan serta ilmu pengetahuan umum yang mengikuti kurikulum pendidikan nasional. Anak yang belajar di pondok, memiliki kewajiban sebagai siswa untuk belajar di sekolah sekaligus menjadi santri pondok pesantren. Kegiatan keseharian yang dilakukan mulai dari kegiatan belajar pelajaran umum sekaligus melakukan kegiatan keagamaan yang wajib diikuti sebagai seorang santri. Peran tersebut yang menuntut para santri agar dapat meregulasi diri dengan baik sehingga dapat mengikuti jadwal kegiatan sekolah dan pondok dengan optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsep diri dan dukungan teman sebaya terhadap regulasi diri santri. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 100 santri dengan quota sampling sebagai metode pengambilan data yang digunakan. Peneliti menggunakan analisis regresi untuk mengetahui hubungan antara ketiga variabel tersebut. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa konsep diri dan dukungan teman sebaya mempunyai hubungan yang sangat signifikan dengan regulasi diri, dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 32,1%. Secara terpisah konsep diri memiliki sumbangan efektif sebesar 31,2% dan dukungan teman sebaya sebesar 9,7%. Besarnya sumbangan konsep diri terhadap regulasi diri dibandingkan variabel dukungan teman sebaya dalam penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa konsep diri memegang peranan lebih besar bagi santri dalam meregulasi dirinya. Analisis, diskusi dan kesimpulan akan didiskusikan lebih lanjut dalam artikel ini.

Abstract

Student engagement is a recognized factor in higher education, and its importance in students' academic success has led to increased attention. While many studies have explored the impact of technology on student engagement, no meta-analysis studies have been conducted at the higher education level to the best of the researcher's knowledge. This study aims to critically evaluate the influence of technology on student engagement within the context of learning in Indonesia. A systematic review and assessment were conducted using seven databases and two search engines. This meta-analysis study includes 5 studies with 710 subjects. Although the 5 studies indicate that technology use can enhance student engagement, the results do not yield a common effect size. Furthermore, one study presents inconclusive findings. Therefore, further research is necessary to investigate this variable by implementing more appropriate research procedures.Keywords: technology use, meta-analysis, student engagement

Abstract

This study examines the correlation between authoritative parenting style parenting and hope to graduate on time to academic grit in students who receive full scholarships. It was conducted on 87 full-scholarship undergraduate students selected through purposive sampling. Research instruments included measures of academic grit, authoritative parenting style, and hope to graduate on time. Findings revealed a strong correlation (p = 0.000; R = 0.771; R2 = 0.595) among authoritative parenting style, hope to graduate on time, and academic grit, contributing effectively by 59.5%. The results of the minor hypothesis indicate a highly significant positive relationship between authoritative parenting style and academic grit (R = 0.576, p < 0.01), along with a highly significant positive correlation between hope to graduate on time and academic grit (R = 0.733, p < 0.01). Based on the research outcomes, it can be concluded that a highly significant positive correlation among the three variables.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between social-comparison and self-regulation with motivation to practice in karate athletes. Practicing is very important for karate athletes to improve their abilities.  This study used a quantitative method with 84 participants. The measuring instrument used is social-comparison scale (α = 0.866), self-regulation scale (α =0.845), and motivation to practice scale (α=0.886). The results of the major hypothesis showed that there was a relationship between social-comparison and self-regulation with motivation to practice (p=0,000; r=0.658). The results of the minor hypothesis test one show that there is a positive relationship between social-comparison and motivation to practice (p=0.000; r=0.615). These results are the same with the second minor hypothesis on the variable self-regulation and motivation to practice (p=0.000; r=0.592). The results of this research will provide benefits in the development of psychology, especially in the field of sports psychology. Help karate athletes and coaches to obtain information to increase motivation to practice.

Abstract

Student learning engagement and creative thinking are important in education. Based on the preliminary study result, it is known that students have a moderate to low level of student learning engagement and creative thinking. This study aims to determine the differences in student learning engagement and creative thinking in introverted and extroverted students. The study was conducted on vocational high school students in Kudus with 96 total research participants consisting of 48 introverted students and 48 extroverted students. The measuring instrument used to obtain data is using the DISC test tool, student learning engagement scale, and creative thinking scale. The results of data analysis show that there are differences in student learning engagement in introverted and extroverted students (p=0.012), where introverted students have higher levels of students learning engagement (M=90.48) than extroverted students (M=84.21). However, in the creative thinking variable, there are no differences between introverted and extroverted students (p=0.870).

Abstract

This study is a quantitative study that aims to determine the relationship between anonymity and moral disengagement with cyberbullying behavior in K-Pop fans who do fanwar. Purposive sampling was used in sampling so that 250 K-Pop fans filled out the cyberbullying scale, anonymity scale, and moral disengagement scale. The results of the analysis show that there is a relationship between anonymity and moral disengagement with cyberbullying behavior in K-pop fans who do fanwar with a correlation coefficient of 0.413 and a p value 0.001 (p 0.01) and an effective contribution of 17%. Anonymity is positively and significantly related to cyberbullying as indicated by a correlation coefficient of 0.271 and a p value of 0.001 (p 0.01). Moral disengagement is positively and significantly related to cyberbullying as indicated by a correlation coefficient of 0.398 and a p value of 0.001 (p 0.01). The results indicate that anonymity and moral disengagement can increase individual participation in cyberbullying behavior. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis was conducted to assess the strength of aspects. The aspect of "Imbalance Power" in measuring cyberbullying, the aspect of "Lack of Identification" in measuring anonymity, and the aspect of "Moral Justification" in measuring moral disengagement have low loading factors, thus proving less effective in measurement in this research. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara anonimitas dan moral disengagement dengan perilaku cyberbullying pada penggemar K-Pop yang melakukan fanwar. Purposive sampling digunakan dalam pengambilan sampel sehingga 250 penggemar K-Pop mengisi skala skala cyberbullying, skala anonimitas, dan skala moral disengagement. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan anonimitas dan moral disengagement dengan perilaku cyberbullying pada penggemar K-pop yang melakukan fanwar dengan koefisien korelasi 0.413 dan nilai p 0.001 (p 0.01) serta sumbangan efektif sebesar 17%. Anonimitas berhubungan positif yang sangat signifikan dengan cyberbullying ditunjukkan dengan koefisien korelasi 0.271 dan nilai p 0.001 (p 0.01). Moral disengagement berhubungan positif yang sangat signifikan dengan cyberbullying ditunjukkan dengan koefisien korelasi 0.398 dan nilai p 0.001 (p 0.01). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa anonimitas dan moral disengagement dapat meningkatkan partisipasi individu dalam perilaku cyberbullying. Analisis Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dilakukan untuk mengukur kekuatan aspek. Aspek “Ketidakseimbangan Kekuatan” dalam mengukur cyberbullying. Aspek “Kurangnya Identifikasi” dalam mengukur anonimitas, dan Aspek “Justifikasi Moral” dalam mengukur moral disengagement memiliki loading factor yang rendah sehingga kurang efektif melakukan pengukuran dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

This study aims determine the relationship between personal growth initiative and hope with career adaptability in vocational students in Indonesia. The participants in this study are vocational students in Indonesia. The data collection technique used in this study is a simple random sampling technique with data collection instruments including career adaptability scales, personal growth initiative scales, and hope scales The result of this study showed a correlation coefficient of 0.769 with a p of 0.000 (p0.01) which showed a very significant relationship between personal growth initiative and hope with career adaptability in vocational students, with an effective contribution of 59.1%, thus the major hypothesis in this study was accepted. The result of the correlation coefficient between personal growth initiative and career adaptability were obtained 0.734 with a p of 0.000 (p0.01), which shows that there is a very significant positive relationship between personal growth initiative and career adaptability, thus the first minor hypothesis proposed in this study accepted. While the correlation coefficient between hope and career adaptability shows an r value of 0.581 with a p of 0.000 (p0.01), this shows that there is a very significant positive relationship between hope and career adaptability, thus the second minor hypothesis in this study accepted.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan personal growth initiative dan harapan dengan adaptabilitas karir pada mahasiswa vokasi di Indonesia. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini merupakan mahasiswa vokasi di Indonesia. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,769 dengan p sebesar 0,000 (p 0,01) yang menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang sangat signifikan antara personal growth initaitive dan harapan dengan adaptabilitas karir pada mahasiswa vokasi, dengan sumbangan efektif 59,1%, dengan demikian hipotesis mayor dalam penelitian ini diterima. Hasil koefisien korelasi antara personal growth initiative dengan adaptabilitas karir diperoleh sebesar 0,734 dengan p sebesar 0,000 (p 0,01), hal ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang sangat signifikan antara personal growth initiative dengan adaptabilitas karir, dengan demikian hipotesis minor pertama yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini diterima. Sementara itu koefisien korelasi antara harapan dengan adaptabilitas karir menunjukkan nilai r sebesar 0,581 dengan p sebesar 0,000 (p 0,01), hal ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang sangat signifikan antara harapan dengan adaptabilitas karir, dengan demikian hipotesis minor kedua dalam penelitian ini diterima.

Abstract

Student engagement is defined as the active participation of students in the learning process, including affective, cognitive, and behavioral dimensions. High levels of student engagement contribute to positive academic outcomes as high engaged students tend to be more involved and accountable in their learning. In contrast, students with low student engagement often feel dissatisfied with their educational experience and are at high risk of dropping out of school. The dropout phenomenon in Indonesia shows the highest rate among senior secondary/vocational students. This study aims to examine the relationship between student engagement based on gender and grade level, and look at the differences. This study used quantitative methods with a correlational and comparative approach, involving 99 students from SMK N 3 Jepara. The instrument used was the USEI scale, which was adapted and data processing using the SPSS bootstrap method. The results showed that the majority of students' engagement was in the moderate category (41 students), followed by the high (32 students) and low (26 students) categories. No significant relationship was found between student engagement and class, but there was a significant relationship with gender, where female students showed higher level of student engagement, especially in the cognitive engagement aspect.

Abstract

Teenagers' usage of social media is frequently associated with emotional instability, especially loneliness. This study investigates the connection between social anxiety and loneliness in adolescents who use social media often and parental attachment. Participants in the study, who ranged in age from 13 to 21, were recruited using a correlational quantitative methodology. Purposive sampling was used to choose a total of 100 responders. Three Likert-based psychological measures evaluating social anxiety, parental attachment, and loneliness were used to gather data. The validity and reliability of every instrument were examined. Multiple regression and Pearson correlation were performed once the normality and linearity tests were completed. The findings indicated a strong positive correlation between loneliness and social anxiety. In contrast to the hypothesis, a significant positive relationship was also found between parental attachment and loneliness, suggesting that a strong emotional bond with parents does not always reduce loneliness. Adolescents may still experience emotional distress due to insecure attachment styles, such as anxious attachment. This study concludes that both parental attachment and social anxiety contribute to adolescent loneliness, especially in the context of frequent social media use.
