Abstract

Aktivitas para pekerja yang berada pada lingkungan seperti pertambangan dan industri sangat rentan akan terpapar polusi. Selama melakukan tindakan pencegahan terhadap potensi tersebut, dapat dilakukan dengan penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD) yang disesuaikan dengan tingkat polutannya. Tingkat polutan tersebut dapat diketahui dengan melakukan pengukuran menggunakan alat yang sesuai. Untuk mempermudah dalam proses pengukuran, maka alat ukur yang digunakan dapat ditempatkan pada helm kerja yang dikenakan oleh para pekerja. Helm kerja tersebut dilengkapi dengan sistem elektronika yang terdiri sensor karbon monoksida (CO) dan sensor level intensitas suara yang hasil pengukurannya terkirim pada smartphone dengan komunikasi bluetooth. Sensor CO menggunakan MQ-7 dan sensor intensitas suara MAX GY4466. Proses pengukuran dan pengiriman data akan dikontrol menggunakan mikrokontroler jenis Atmega328 dan modul bluetooth HC-05. Untuk sumber listrik menggunakan baterai li-ion jenis 18650. Aplikasi yang digunakan untuk menampilkan hasil pengukuran dibuat menggunakan Platform MIT Inventor. Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran, kedua sensor dapat terkirim dengan baik pada smartphone. Agar diperoleh hasil pengukuran yang sesuai dengan alat ukur standar, maka hasil pengukuran kedua sensor dilakukan kalibrasi. Sensor MQ-7 kalibrasi dilakukan menggunakan analisa grafik yang bersumber dari datasheet. Untuk sensor MAX GY4466 kalibrasi dilakukan dengan membandingkan hasil pengukurannya dengan sound level meter.

Abstract

The city of Kendari has significant marine fisheries potential, supported by continuously increasing capture fisheries production each year; however, this growth has not been accompanied by efficient distribution or increased added value for local fishers. Key challenges include the weak bargaining position of fishers, fluctuating selling prices, and limited supporting infrastructure such as cold storage and refrigerated transportation, all of which indicate weak implementation of Supply Chain Management in the fisheries sector. This study aims to analyze the condition of SCM in the operational performance of fishers’ businesses in Kendari’s coastal areas and to formulate effective SCM implementation strategies using the SCOR Model and the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The findings show that distribution efficiency remains low, with an average loss of selling value of 20–30% due to reduced fish quality during distribution. AHP analysis identifies priority strategies to strengthen SCM, including increasing cold storage capacity (priority weight 0.35), providing transparent price information (0.27), establishing supply chain institutions based on fishers’ cooperatives (0.22), and offering SCM management training for fishers (0.16). These strategies are expected to improve distribution efficiency, enhance the bargaining position of fishers, and promote the economic empowerment of local communities, thereby supporting sustainable fisheries development in Kendari.

Abstract

Introduction: Nutritional problems among children under five in coastal areas remain relatively high, partly due to limited access to animal-based protein sources. On the other hand, the potential of marine resources has not been optimally utilized, including grouper fish scales (Epinephelus sp.), which are rich in protein, calcium, and collagen. The innovation of processing these wastes into complementary feeding (MP-ASI) stock powder holds potential as both a nutritional solution and an environmental management strategy. This study aims to analyze the effect of balanced nutrition education on mothers’ knowledge, perceptions, and intentions regarding the use of grouper fish-scale-based MP-ASI stock powder. Objectives: This study aimed to analyze the effect of balanced nutrition education on mothers’ knowledge, perceptions, and intentions regarding the use of grouper fish-scale-based MP-ASI stock powder. Methods: This research employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test–post-test approach involving 30 mothers with children aged 6–24 months in Mekar Jaya Village, Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. A structured questionnaire was used to measure knowledge, perception, and intention, with prior validity and reliability testing (Cronbach’s alpha ≥0.70). Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Levene’s homogeneity test, paired t-test, Wilcoxon signed-rank test, and Pearson correlation test. Results: The findings demonstrated a significant improvement in knowledge (p<0.001), perception (p<0.001), and intention (p<0.001) after the educational intervention. Correlation analysis revealed positive associations between knowledge and perception (r=0.52; p=0.004), knowledge and intention (r=0.47; p=0.009), and perception and intention (r=0.61; p<0.001). Conclusions: Balanced nutrition education is effective in enhancing knowledge, fostering positive perceptions, and encouraging mothers’ intention to use grouper fish-scale-based MP-ASI stock powder. This study is relevant as a foundation for developing nutrition education strategies and food innovations based on local potential to support the improvement of child nutrition in coastal areas.
