Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS dengan menerapkan metode konvensional, 2) hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), 3) pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS di kelas IV SDN 107403 Cinta Rakyat Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode eksperimen dengan bentuk quasi experimental (eksperimen semu). Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes pilihan berganda. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji Paired Sample T-test. Hasil dalam penelitian menunjukkkan bahwa (1) hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS yang diterapkan dengan metode konvensional diperoleh nilai rata-rata pada pre test sebesar 43,57 dan post test sebesar 77,38. (2) hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS yang diterapkan dengan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) diperoleh nilai rata-rata pada pre test sebesar 45,68 dan post test sebesar 84,54. (3) terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS di kelas IV SDN 107403 Cinta Rakyat Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil uji Paired Sample T-test dengan nilai Sig. 0,000 sehingga Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak karena 0,000<0,05.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu: (1) Untuk mengetahui bagaimana hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia materi Pantun sebelum menggunakan metode Speed Reading (2) Untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan metode Speed Reading pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indoensia materi Pantun (3) Untuk mengetahui bagaimana hasil belajar siswa setelah menerapkan metode Speed Reading pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia materi Pantun. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas IV SDN 064969 Sidorejo Hilir, Kecamatan Medan Tembung sebanyak 21 siswa. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman siswa sebelum menggunakan metode Speed Reading dengan persentase 40%, kemudian setelah menggunakan metode Speed Reading yaitu pada siklus I siswa yang tuntas berjumlah 14 orang atau dengan persentase 63,85%. Selanjutnya pada siklus II siswa yang tuntas berjumlah 18 orang atau dengan persentase 71,19%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam memahami materi Pantun pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia telah mencapai tingkat ketuntasan belajar klasikal.

Abstract

Beginning reading is an activity that is carried out in an integrated manner, including recognizing letters and words and then connecting them with their sounds and meanings so as to obtain conclusions about the meaning of the reading. The learning process in early reading is carried out by recognizing language in writing, through writing students are required to be able to pronounce the symbols of language sounds with sounds that produce clear meaning, accuracy and success at the early reading stage will have a major impact on improving further reading skills. The research aims to find out the difficulties of beginning reading for third grade students at SDN 1005 Sidomulio, South Barumun Subdistrict, researchers obtained information that there were several students who had difficulties in beginning reading. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The subjects of this research are several students who still have difficulty reading, especially beginning reading, namely 6 students. The data collection techniques used were interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The results obtained from this study are the difficulties experienced by students, including those who do not recognize letters, still have difficulty saying words without spelling, still have difficulty spelling difficult words and do not recognize some letters. Factors that hinder students in beginning reading are psychological factors, environmental factors and lack of interest and motivation and environmental factors where the lack of parental attention in teaching children to read when at home.

Abstract

This research is entitled “Development of Student Worksheets (LKPD) Based on the Canva Application to Improve Procedure Text Writing Skills of Grade VII Students at Tiara Private Junior High School, Bandar Setia.” The background of this study is the low ability of students to write procedure texts, which is caused by the limited use of attractive and interactive learning media. To address this issue, the study developed a Canva-based LKPD designed to enhance students’ writing skills. The research method employed was Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research instruments included validation sheets for material experts, language experts, and media experts, as well as questionnaires to gather responses from teachers and students. The validation results indicate that the Canva-based LKPD is highly feasible for use in learning, with a material expert validation score of 96.36%, language expert 87%, media expert 87%, teacher response 94%, and student response 92%. Furthermore, implementation results demonstrated a significant improvement in students’ ability to write procedure texts, as evidenced by an increase in average scores from pretest to posttest. These findings suggest that the Canva-based LKPD is an effective and innovative learning medium that can facilitate students in improving their writing skills, particularly in learning procedure texts in Indonesian language classes. This research also contributes to the development of creative digital media for education in the current technological era.
