Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar mahasiswa Teknik Elektro pada mata kuliah Kalkulus. Di sisi lain, mata kuliah Kalkulus sendiri merupakan titik awal perjalanan panjang mahasiswa untuk menguasai seluruh konsep matematika sebagai mahasiswa Teknik Elektro. Salah satu penyebab rendahnya hasil belajar mahasiswa adalah faktor internal yaitu kesulitan mahasiswa dalam memecahkan masalah yang berkaitan dengan materi pada mata kuliah Kalkulus. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) Mendeskripsikan kesulitan mahasiswa Teknik Elektro dalam menyelesaikan masalah pada Mata Kuliah Kalkulus; dan (2) Mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar mahasiswa Teknik Elektro pada mata kuliah Kalkulus. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan deskriptif. Subyek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Teknik Elektro semester I kelas A Universitas Pembangunan Panca Budi Tahun Pelajaran 2022/2023. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah soal tes tugas mata kuliah kalkulus dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah pada mata kuliah Kalkulus meliputi kesulitan dalam penggunaan konsep dan prinsip matematika, dan (2) faktor penyebab kesulitan siswa berasal dari faktor internal yang berkaitan dengan masing-masing individu.

Abstract

Numeracy literacy is a fundamental competency assessed through Indonesia’s Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM); however, Grade VII junior high school students’ achievement in this domain continues to exhibit significant gaps, particularly in solving contextual problems with extended narrative structures. Although numeracy literacy research in Indonesia has grown considerably, studies that simultaneously examine students’ profiles across differentiated ability levels while foregrounding the linguistic dimension as the primary explanatory variable remain scarce—especially in the local context of Stabat. To address this gap, this study investigated the numeracy literacy profile of Grade VII students at a junior high school in Stabat across three levels of mathematical ability: high, medium, and low. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed involving 20 students selected through purposive sampling. Instruments consisted of a contextual numeracy literacy test and a semi-structured interview guide. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman interactive model. Findings indicate that 60% of students fall within the medium ability level. More critically, the primary barrier originates from linguistic demands rather than procedural weaknesses: students demonstrate decreased accuracy when confronted with word problems exceeding three sentences, and the capacity for decoding—translating verbal context into a mathematical model—remains underdeveloped across all ability levels. The principal contribution of this study is establishing that linguistic load, not computational deficiency, is the decisive differentiating factor in numeracy literacy performance, with direct pedagogical implications: strengthening numeracy literacy cannot be decoupled from simultaneously developing students’ reading stamina and mathematical reading strategies.

Abstract

PT. PLN (Persero) is a company with an extensive distribution network system, which continues to expand in terms of the number of distribution networks. This company is known for its excellent efforts in improving the quality of service to its customers, particularly in meeting the electricity needs of customers in the West Nusa Tenggara region. With the existing distribution system network, reliability analysis can be determined by assessing the system's quality in relation to disruptions that occur. To improve the quality of electricity distribution, the performance of the distribution network system is a key aspect that will always be maintained to ensure electricity is delivered to customers. In enhancing the quality of the distribution system, the calculation of reliability indices, based on the average interruption frequency (SAIFI) and the average interruption duration (SAIDI), serves as a reference for the reliability of the distribution network.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of digital marketing in the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Pematang Serai Village, Langkat Regency. By utilizing digital technologies such as social media and e-commerce platforms, MSMEs in this village strive to increase market reach, marketing efficiency, and the competitiveness of local products. The methodology used includes a qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and literature studies. The results show that the implementation of digital marketing has a positive impact on increasing sales and product recognition of MSMEs. Supporting factors for success include village government support, MSME enthusiasm, ongoing mentoring, and adequate digital infrastructure. However, challenges such as limited digital literacy and access to technology still need to be addressed. This study concludes that digital marketing has a strategic role in empowering MSMEs in rural areas and recommends improving training and digital infrastructure for sustainable MSME development
