Abstract

Finite State Machine (FSM) is a control system methodology that describes system’s behavior using three things, namely: state, event, and action. On a program, the system would be in one active state. The system can switch or move to another state if it gets a certain input or event.  In this paper, FSM based on Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller algorithm will be implemented on line follower robot. PID controller is one of system control methods that many used recently. FSM based on PID controller is implemented to keep robot tracking the line trajectory as well. The test result shows that designed algorithm can work well and can be used as a based algorithm of this robot.

Abstract

The suitability of work in adolescents with education graduates is very important, to explore the role of learning and skill skills in the process of transitioning from education to the world of work with results that show more dominance in theoretical knowledge, communication, problem-solving, and learning abilities. The transition from education to the world of work is marked by conditions that are constantly changing and the stability of education is starting to diminish. This study analyzes the most relevant themes related to the transition from education to the world of work through scientometric analysis using the keywords “School-to-Work Transition”, “S2W” and “Transition” as input. The Scopus database is used because it is considered the largest and most trusted database for scientometric analysis. VOSviewer software was adopted as a scientometric analysis tool for network mapping based on author, country, source, keywords, and latest discoveries. The analysis conducted on March 1 2022, found a total of 726 documents in the period 2001 to 2021 of STWT research with filtered articles in English. The results of this study indicate that in the last twenty years the number of publications on STWT has grown significantly. Based on the findings of this analysis, studies on STWT in the last four years have focused on themes related to unemployed youth, education and training, early school leave, and the country of Italy. Along with the times and increasingly sophisticated technology, a researcher requires to have innovations that are useful for further research

Abstract

Many institutions in Indonesia swiftly shifted their educational programs to online learning with minimal preparation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This has resulted in a situation termed as Emergency Remote Teaching (ERT), defined as a temporary and abrupt shift from offline (face-to-face) to online (virtual) instructional delivery as a consequence of a disaster. It is crucial for educators to grasp key aspects of utilizing online learning media. This research aims to identify recommended criteria and alternatives for the use of online learning media from the educators’ perspective, employing the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, which is suitable for ranking issues. This method involves a group decision-making process that employs comprehensive and multidimensional ranking in various domains. The research instrument comprises a questionnaire filled out by educators, including lecturers and teachers, totaling 13 respondents. The study reveals that the top-ranked criteria and alternative for the use of online learning media are the ease of operation criterion (K1) and the fastness alternative (A1). Future research is encouraged to further explore the application of the AHP method in other aspects of online learning

Abstract

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic, which has occurred for more than two years, has left various problems in learning. According to the opinion of most teachers and students, learning using an online approach in some courses was less effective. For example, the Embedded Systems course (ES) stimulates students to do product development. Online learning even tended to cause a loss of motivation, especially in applied studies that require adequate time and facilities to do the practicum. Hence there is a need for a learning method that can be a solution to the problems caused by the online approach. In the ES, students are required to understand the not only theory but also practice comprehensively. Therefore, a more sophisticated strategy is necessary. To enable students to see and assess the events that transpired during product development, collaborated research-based learning (CRL) is expected to be a proper method to tackle such problems. With the RL approach, especially for applied subjects such as Embedded Systems, students must be able to innovate so that the learning process encourages them to find real solutions to the faced problems. CRL encourages students to be able to formulate research designs, data collection, practical research, and interpretation of results. CRL engages students in the process and active participation in acquiring reflective knowledge and critical thinking to build their vision. This report presents a preliminary examination of the implementation of CRL in ES to improve students' engagement. The study measure participants’ overview of using project management application in CRL. The study involved 30 students taking the ES. The study finding discovers that the students’ perspective of the CRL approach in ES is suitable during pandemic

Abstract

Electrical energy has become a basic necessity today. As the population increases, the amount of electricity demand is also increasing. Therefore, many innovations are needed to meet these needs. One of the innovations in energy harvesting systems is the use of piezoelectricity. This research aims to create a piezoelectric-based running track prototype to produce environmentally friendly electrical energy. The arrangement of piezoelectric sensors used in this research is a parallel circuit. The research method used is the Research and Development method. The test results on the physical activities of walking, running, and jumping show that the prototype system that has been made has worked well and produces a fairly stable electric voltage even though it is still in a small amount. the difference in activity and body weight that presses the prototype produces different electric voltages. For walking activity, the prototype is able to produce a maximum voltage output of 0.83V, running activity has a maximum output of 5.83V and the maximum voltage output of jumping activity is 7.88V. The use of energy is done by storing the energy obtained from the piezoelectric in the battery, which can later be monitored directly by the voltage sensor, bluetooth module, HC-05, and RTC module the data will be sent to the cell phone so that the piezoelectric output voltage can be recorded and monitored. The electrical energy output generated by the piezoelectric is able to charge the battery and switch on the LED light at 2.5 V.
