Abstract

A mother has a significant role in minimizing the adverse effects of smartphone usage for children, including the risk of Phubbing. Dependence on smartphones can make children lazier and not interested in physically interacting with their playmates. In fact, social beings must be able to interact and care about their environment. Phubbing in early childhood can occur if there is no parental role in controlling smartphone use.  This study focuses on the mother’s role in minimizing Phubbing behavior since early childhood. This is descriptive research with qualitative approach. This study uses a purposive sampling technique with the characteristics of mothers who have children aged 2-6 years who are lightly addicted to smartphone. This study found that the way mothers deal with smartphone addiction in early childhood are by; observing carefully the children's activities, teach a good habit, discipline practice, make good communication. Dependence on smartphones and phubbing behavior is one of the pathological behaviors, as one of the consequences of human maladjustment on modernization that occurs quickly. Therefore, a mother needs to control the use of smartphones for her children, so that the potential for phubbing in children can be minimized.

Abstract

Communication strategy of the Bener Meriah Regency Government in the marketing of Gayo coffee. The problems of this study are; how the communication strategy of the Bener Meriah Regency Government in marketing Gayo coffee, how the obstacles of the Bener Meriah Regency government in marketing Gayo coffee, how the credibility of communicators in marketing Gayo coffee, and local community empowerment in gayo coffee marketing. The research method in this study uses qualitative research approach, using observation, interview and point documentation techniques. In this study, the authors use the theory of communicator credibility. The results of this study are the communication strategy of the Bener Meriah Regency government in marketing Gayo coffee using the methods; marketing communication strategy through advertising in exhibitions and events, through foreign trade missions by ministries, and promotions through digital processes and social media. The credibility of the communicator in marketing Gayo coffee is good enough to increase sales, so that Gayo coffee can be well-known to foreign countries. The government’s effort to appreciate marketing communicators have also been quite good, so that communicators are more enthusiastic and creative. Barriers to the government of Bener Meriah Regency in marketing Gayo coffee are (1) Barriers to entering the industrial market, (2) Inadequate facilities and technology, (3) Barriers in regulations, especially employment, taxation and trade, (4) Lack of motivation and trade, (5) Low capital, (7) Processing and packaging technology that has not been fully mastered. The Bener Meriah Regency Government has carried out community empowerment by utilizing its natural resources, providing assistance in the form of directions, outreach, and training on Gayo coffee management.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-concept and student lifestyle at Stikes Payung Negeri, Bener Meriah Regency, Central Aceh. Stikes Payung Negeri Bener Meriah Regency is one of the campuses where the majority of students are Kartu Indonesia Pintar (KIP) scholarship program or Bidikmisi scholarship fellows. This study discusses the phenomenon of high lifestyle students of Stikes Payung Negeri Bener Meriah Regency scholarship fellows. Such a lifestyle affects the self-concept of students. This study uses a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study were questionnaires and documentation. The results of this study are 1). The lifestyle of the State Umbrella Stikes students in Bener Meriah Regency is high. There are 68% whose lifestyle is high. There are 32% whose lifestyle is moderate, and there are no students who have a low lifestyle, 2.) the relationship between self-concept and lifestyle of Stikes Umbrella students in Bener Meriah Regency is 15.1%, while 84.9% is influenced by by other factors not studied. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara konsep diri dengan gaya hidup mahasiswa di Stikes Payung Negeri Kabupaten Bener Meriah, Aceh Tengah. Stikes Payung Negeri Kabupaten Bener Meriah menjadi salah satu kampus dengan mahasiswa terbanyak mengikuti program beasiswa Kartu Indonesia Pintar (KIP) atau beasiswa Bidikmisi. Penelitian ini membahas fenomena gaya hidup tinggi mahasiswa Stikes Payung Negeri Kabupaten Bener Meriah penerima beasiswa. Gaya hidup demikian berpengaruh terhadap konsep diri mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data angket dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, pertama gaya hidup mahasiswa Stikes Payung Negeri Kabupaten Bener Meriah berkategori tinggi. Terdapat 68% dengan gaya hidup tinggi, 32% gaya hidup sedang, dan tidak ada mahasiswa yang memiliki gaya hidup rendah. Kedua, hubungan antara konsep diri dengan gaya hidup mahasiswa Stikes Payung Negeri Kabupaten Bener Meriah di angka 15.1%, sedangkan 84.9% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti.

Abstract

“Healing" has become a popular trend in Indonesia. Although it differs from the actual meaning of "healing" in a psychological perspective, "healing" describes recovery and healing in general, including the activities one does during the holidays to recover from the physical and mental boredom and fatigue one is experiencing. The literature on "healing" as a stress coping strategy in the tourism frame has not been discussed in detail in previous studies. This article aims to discuss the trend of "healing" as a stress coping strategy in the tourism context that can be practiced in tourism development in Indonesia. Coping stress is an individual response as an effort that can be made to obtain peace and inner peace against the type of stress experienced. This study uses a systematic literature review approach. There are two important findings in this study, first, coping with stress through the trend of "healing" is included in the type of emotion focused coping, which is a conscious adjustment. Second, "healing" activities which are carried out in the form of fun and calming activities such as nature tourism, culinary tourism, cultural tourism and special interest tourism. Optimizing stress coping strategies through tourism is an important step that can be taken to support the achievement of individual well-being which can develop interest in tourism visits in Indonesia

Abstract

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the tourism sector was the strongest sector in the world economy. The great strength of the tourism sector is proven by the rapid recovery of the sector after the COVID-19 pandemic. The tourism sector includes several things, including exhibitions, expos, and festivals. The purpose of this study was to find out how the rational thinking process of the Bener Meriah Regency government was used in choosing a sector for marketing Gayo coffee. This study used a qualitative approach with interview and observation techniques. The results of this study show that the tourism sector is one of the choices for the Bener Meriah Regency government in marketing Gayo coffee products. The tourism sector, in this case, is exhibition, expo, and festival activities. This activity is considered beneficial for Gayo coffee marketing because it can directly bring together coffee producers with tourists who are potential customers. Therefore, the Bener Meriah Regency government, taking into account (rational) resources and profits, chose the tourism sector to market Gayo coffee.
