Abstract

A counselor organized individual counseling as a consultative service to address a problem the council is facing. Therefore, the counselor must be smart in determining a proper method to re-develop the self-confidence of adolescents who have become victims of bullying using the Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) technique. This study aimed to raise confidence in “T” clients who suffered obesity bullying in Tulung Selapan Village. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study, where researchers drew information in depth from several sources. The data collection techniques used are interviewing, observation, and documentation. The results of this study showed that after conducting the counseling process, there were as many as four meetings in a month that used several stages of counseling implementation, namely, the initial stage, the intermediate stage, and the final stage. The process can give excellent results to the client, where the client "T" always thinks positively and does not compare himself to others because he has already understood his abilities and has learned to forget that he is weak and has no abilities.

Abstract

School refusal is school refusal behavior that is motivated by unwillingness to attend school or finding it difficult to stay at school all day. This research aims to determine the description of school refusal in client "R" at the Sabillul Muhtadin Islamic Boarding School. To determine the application of individual counseling rational emotive behavior techniques to overcome school refusal in client "R" female students at the Sabillul Muhtadin Islamic Boarding School. This research uses a qualitative approach method with a case study type of research. The data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation methods. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used is done by pattern matching, data explanation, and time series analysis. The results of this research show that the school refusal experienced by client "R" has two factors, namely the internal factor of the client experiencing separation anxiety from their parents (separation anxiety) and the external factor, namely school being unpleasant or creating an unsafe condition for the client. After counseling using rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT) techniques for client "R", there was some progress felt by client "R" after carrying out the counseling guidance process for client "R", starting to decrease in doing things that made client "R" skipping class, starting to take part in learning activities at school and getting rid of the irrational feelings he had been feeling, client "R" began to think rationally towards the people in his environment and began to have the courage to fight the fear and anxiety that was occurring within him.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik modeling untuk mencegah pernikahan dini pada Remaja di Desa Siku”. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu: pertama, untuk mengetahui bagaimana gambaran pemahaman tentang pernikahan dini pada remaja di Desa Siku sebelum dilaksanakan layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik modeling. Kedua, untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik modeling untuk mencegah pernikahan dini pada remaja di Desa Siku. Ketiga, untuk mengetahui Bagaimana gambaran pemahaman tentang pernikahan dini pada remaja di Desa Siku setelah dilaksanakan layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik modeling. Penelitian ini metode deskriptif kualitatif. Pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif mengacu pada teknik yang digunakan untuk merumuskan masalah dengan cara menggambarkan fenomena atau kondisi yang ada secara mendalam dengan menyajikan hasil observasi secara naratif tanpa mengandalkan statistik atau angka. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Adapun hasil yang didapat gambaran pemahaman tentang sebelum diterapkannya layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik modeling, tingkat pernikahan dini di kalangan remaja di Desa Siku masih tergolong rendah. Penerapan layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan Teknik modeling untuk mencegah pernikahan dini pada remaja di Desa Siku berjalan dengan lancar dan baik serta remaja berperan aktif selama kegiatan bimbingan kelompok. Gambaran pemahaman pernikahan dini pada remaja di Desa Siku Setelah penerapan layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik modeling, terjadi perubahan yang signifikan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik modeling remaja mengalami perubahan secara signifikan mengenai pemahaman tentang pernikahan dini.

Abstract

TikTok is among the most widely used social media platforms by adolescents, featuring unique elements such as algorithm-driven short videos and appearance enhancing filters that differentiate it from other platforms. These characteristics render TikTok particularly influential in shaping adolescents’ perceptions of body image and self-esteem. This study aims to examine the impact of TikTok media exposure on body image and self-esteem among adolescents aged 15 to 18 years. A quantitative method was employed using multivariate linear regression analysis. The sample comprised 172 active TikTok users from Taruna Gajah Mada High School, Metro, Indonesia, with data collected through an online questionnaire. The instruments used included the Media and Technology Usage and Attitudes Scale (MTUAS), the Body Image Scale, and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale. The results revealed that TikTok exposure significantly affected body image (F = 98.697; p < 0.001) and self-esteem (F = 110.177; p < 0.001), with a combined explained variance of 31.3%. Exposure to idealized body-related content fosters social comparison, adversely impacting adolescents’ self-image and confidence. This study underscores the importance of digital literacy and psychosocial support in encouraging healthy social media use among adolescents. It concludes that TikTok exposure plays a substantial role in shaping how adolescents perceive their bodies and assess their self-worth, highlighting the media’s influence on self-concept and psychological well-being.
