Abstract

Literary works are a form of creative expression of authors that contain various life values, such as religious, social, cultural, and moral values, which contribute to character formation and can be used as a learning tool. Literature has a close relationship with people's lives because it is able to reflect social reality and life dynamics through the experiences of characters and the conflicts presented. This study aims to reveal the representation of social values ​​in the short story "Orang-Orang Aneh dari Selatan" by Ni Komang Ariani using a sociological literary approach. This study focuses on five main aspects, namely socio-religious, educational, economic, political, and the function of social values ​​in people's lives. The method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The main data were obtained from the short story text, while supporting data came from literary theory books, scientific articles, journals, and relevant previous research. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth reading, recording, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of reduction, presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. The results of the study indicate the existence of five categories of social values, including socio-religious aspects (three data), education (five data), economic (six data), political (two data), and the function of social values ​​in society (eleven data). Thus, this short story represents various social values ​​that reflect the reality of life and has the potential to be a medium for character and social learning..

Abstract

This study investigates the development and effectiveness of Google Sites-based learning media for improving junior high school students' literacy skills. The research was conducted in response to the growing need for technology-integrated learning media that can support students' reading and listening literacy while increasing their engagement in classroom learning. A Research and Development (R&D) approach employing the ADDIE model, consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation, was adopted using a mixed-methods design. The participants included Grade VIII students, Indonesian language teachers, and expert validators. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, validation sheets, and literacy achievement tests. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, paired-sample t-tests, and N-gain analysis, while qualitative data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the developed Google Sites-based learning media met the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Students demonstrated significant improvement in literacy achievement after using the media, while teachers and students responded positively to its usability and learning features. The integration of multimedia resources, interactive assessments, and collaborative activities also contributed to increased learner engagement and independent learning. Therefore, Google Sites-based learning media can serve as an effective and accessible digital learning platform for supporting literacy instruction in junior high schools and promoting the integration of educational technology in language learning.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk alih kode dan campur kode yang terdapat pada percakapan di podcast Login Habib Jafar dan Onad di media sosial YouTube, serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi terjadinya alih kode dalam percakapan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah Episode 19 season 2 podcast login yang telah diposting di YouTube dan dapat diakses melalui akun YouTube Dedy Corbuzier. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan Miles dan Huberman, yang terdiri dari tiga langkah utama, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa dalam podcast Login digunakan beberapa bahasa, yakni Indonesia, Inggris, Arab, Betawi, Jawa, dan Maluku. Terdapat alih kode eksternal sebanyak 4 tuturan, berpindah dari bahasa Indonesia ke Inggris dan Arab, yang dipengaruhi oleh penutur dan lawan tutur. Campur kode ditemukan dalam 37 dialog, didominasi oleh campur kode eksternal (32 kasus: 23 kata, 6 frasa, 3 kalimat) yang mencampur bahasa Indonesia dengan Inggris dan Arab. Sementara itu, campur kode internal ditemukan pada 5 dialog (3 kata, 1 frasa, 1 kalimat) yang mencampur Indonesia dengan Betawi, Jawa, dan Maluku.
