Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan representasi sejarah dan budaya Indonesia dalam novel Calabai karya Pepi Al Bayqunie. Novel Calabai dikaji menggunakan pendekatan New Hisroricism, yakni menyandingkan teks nonsastra dengan teks sastra yang memiliki kesamaan  peristiwa. Tahapan penelitian ini yakni teknik pembacaan paralel terhadap dua teks dan analisis terhadap data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Novel Calabai karya Pepi Al Bayqunie merepresentasikan sejarah Indonesia pada masa Orde Lama hingga masa pasca reformasi. Di masamasa Orde Lama, peristiwa-peristiwa sejarah yang dihadirkan yakni pemberontakan DI/TII Kahar Muzakkar beserta dampaknya terhadap kaum bissu di Segeri. Peristiwa lainnya yang dihadirkan yakni kekerasan dan ancaman berkepanjangan terhadap bissu di sepanjang dekade 1960-an hingga awal tahun 2000-an. Ancaman tersebut bersumber dari semakin kuatnya pengaruh Islam beserta penganut Islam fanatik. Fakta tersebut menjadi salah satu bukti bahwa kemajuan peradaban Indonesia tidak disertai dengan paham untuk saling menghargai keberagaman. Serangan terhadap bissu menjadi salah satu pertanda semakin memudarnya tradisi dan budaya leluhur dalam kehidupan masyarakat Bugis saat ini. (2) Novel Calabai merepresentasikan budaya Bugis dengan ditemukannya beberapa kosa kata Bugis, puisi Bugis Kuno, penyebutan Lontarak beserta naskah I La Galigo dalam novel.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the implementation of the character-based Full Day School (FDS) model in Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Al-Fath Kendari. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. The results showed that MTs Al-Fath has implemented the character-based FDS model well. This model is implemented through various programmes and activities, such as classroom learning, extracurricular activities, and character building. The implementation of the character-based FDS model at MTs Al-Fath shows positive results, such as increased student discipline, strengthened character values, and improved student learning achievement.

Abstract

The problem in this study is what factors affect the education level of the Bajo community. This study aims to discover the factors that affect the low level of education of the Bajo community and how to solve them. The theory used in this study is socio-cultural theory, which uses a qualitative descriptive method. The position of social and cultural sciences will encourage and identify the mapping of educational problems in the Bajo community.  The results of this study show that the factors that cause the low level of education in the Bajo community are the lack of educational equity and economic, family, and environmental factors. An effort to solve the low level of education of the Bajo community is that the government must increase the equitable distribution of education, build school buildings, and help the family economy with the help of scholarships for coastal children.
