Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how to use the ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) method to introduce hijaiyah letters to autistic children aged 4-6 years at the Sahabat Rakyat Sejahtera Foundation, North Bengkulu. This study uses a qualitative approach with a type of field research (field research). Collecting data using observation techniques, interviews and documentation. This study concludes that 1. The use of the ABA method at the Friends of the Prosperous People's Association uses three techniques, namely matching, identification and imitation techniques. 2. The inhibiting factor in the application of this method is that students often have tantrums, lose focus and even cry non-stop. Tantrums occur because students do not get what they want, therefore if a tantrum occurs, the therapist immediately gives what students want or like. This is proven to make students calmer. The supporting factor is the ability of students to understand learning. By applying learning while playing it turns out to be very influential on students. When one program is successful, students are allowed to play after playing, students learn again to continue other programs, it turns out that this can increase student focus. Another supporting factor is the support from the parents of the students at the North Bengkulu Prosperous People's Friends Foundation.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to complement previous studies that have discussed multicultural counseling. Where previous studies discussed fostering an inclusive religious attitude through multicultural counseling and there was also a discussion about multicultural counseling to prevent terrorist behavior. Referring to the previous two studies, in this paper, researchers try to understand the views of Islamic guidance and counseling students, about multicultural counseling in order to analyze religious moderation attitudes in students as prospective Muslim counselors. This study collected empirical data through open-ended questions with g-form assistance from 14 final semester students of the BKI study program of UIN Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu. Based on the informant's answer, it was found that the attitude toward religious moderation has grown in students, this is seen from the answers of informants who accept differences and consider differences to be common, unique, interesting, and a challenge for a Muslim counselor and they will still accept clients who have different backgrounds both religious, racial and cultural even if they have the status of a Muslim counselor in the future. The weakness of this study has not been found to be an answer to what kind of counseling strategies will be carried out in dealing with clients who have different backgrounds with counselors. Through this research, it is hoped that it will contribute to the scientific development of Islamic Counseling Guidance, especially in developing multicultural counseling as a means to instill an attitude of religious moderation in society.

Abstract

Most parents do not realize that calling a child inappropriately and comparing the child with others is verbal violence and greatly affects children's self-concept, especially adolescents. The study aimed to determine the impact of parental verbal violence on adolescent self-concept in Sumber Asri Village. This study used a quantifiable approach to 60 respondents with adolescents aged 13 and 18. Research data was obtained by filling out a questionnaire using a google form. Research instruments are arranged based on three dimensions of self-concept: knowledge, expectations, and assessment. The data were analyzed using a product moment test, where the analysis results showed a weak correlation in a negative direction of  -0.205. The result means a significant negative relationship exists between parental verbal abuse and adolescent self-concept. The higher the violent verbal behavior of parents, the more negative adolescents' self-concepts. The amount of influence of 4.2% of verbal abuse can contribute to adolescent self-concept. Overcoming negative self-concept in adolescents as a result of mistakes in parenting can be done by changing the parenting style from authoritarian to democratic.
