Abstract

Teachers play an essential and strategic role in education. This is because the teacher is a component of education and is at the forefront of carrying out educational goals. This educational component impacts improving the quality of teaching and students' character in schools. The teacher works directly with students to instil science and technology and instil positive values ​​by leading and setting good examples. The method in this study uses a qualitative approach with the type of library research, in which the researcher collects data from literary sources such as books and journals and utilizes online sites and other relevant references. Related. After data analysis, it can be concluded that the teacher plays an essential role in school and society. From the point of view of society, teachers are people who provide education in a particular field. Teachers have a respectable position in society. Starting from his position as a teacher, he must show the correct behaviour as a teacher and make it the norm in all situations inside and outside the school according to society's expectations.

Abstract

This study aims to describe whether the use of a group investigation (GI) cooperative approach can improve civics learning outcomes for fifth grade students at SDN 24 Batang Anai. The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with Classroom Action Research as the type of research. The research data was obtained from test results, the data obtained in the study were analyzed using a qualitative data analysis model. The research results obtained from the use of the group investigation method was an increase in the learning outcomes of class V students at SDN 24 Batang Anai, namely an increase in learning outcomes before the first cycle, namely 60.50 with 42% student mastery, in the first cycle it increased to 70 with 69% student mastery and after correcting the deficiencies of cycle I in cycle II the learning outcomes increased to 80 with 85% student mastery. The conclusion of the study shows that the use of group investigation type cooperative methods can improve student learning outcomes. Keywords: Group investigation, Learning Outcomes, PKn Learning

Abstract

Character building of students is one of the main objectives of Islamic education, which covers cognitive and affective aspects. However, its implementation at SMAN 1 Batang Anai still faces various challenges from within the students themselves, their family environment, and limited school facilities. This study aims to (1) describe the character building of students at SMAN 1 Batang Anai, and (2) describe the obstacles faced by teachers in its implementation. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The research subjects include the principal, Islamic education teachers, guidance counselors, and students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that (1) there are eight forms of moral guidance at SMAN 1 Batang Anai, namely the methods of exemplary behavior, habituation, advice, stories, parables, rewards and punishments, practice, and contemplation and reflection; (2) there are five obstacles faced by teachers, namely limited facilities and infrastructure, diverse student family backgrounds, lack of coordination between parents and teachers, the influence of technology and social media, and limited allocation of time for PAI BP learning.

Abstract

Learning media are one of the factors that influence students’ learning outcomes. The literature suggests that the use of YouTube has the potential to improve the quality of the learning process and students’ learning outcomes. However, in practice, its implementation has not always been fully aligned with the instructional objectives and students’ learning needs. Therefore, Canva was designed by the teacher to develop instructional media that can be systematically adjusted to the learning objectives. This study aims to examine the effect of Canva learning media on students’ learning outcomes in Fiqh. The research employed a quantitative method with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The results revealed a significant effect of Canva learning media on students’ learning outcomes in Fiqh, as indicated by the t-test results: sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05) and the calculated t-value > the critical t-value (5.291 > 1.694), indicating that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Thus, Canva learning media can improve students’ learning outcomes.
