Abstract

English-language higher education instruction in non-English-speaking nations is now a reality in a number of locales. Teachers that are leading the way in teaching English need to have the best teaching methods, particularly when it comes to teaching vocabulary. To meet learning objectives, techniques and their justifications must be obvious. To address these issues, the researchers employed a qualitative technique and a descriptive research design. English instructors were the study's subject. based on examination of the documentation, interview, and observation. According to the study's findings, (1) both of the English teachers at MTsS Siulak Gedang employed dictionaries and translation techniques to teach their pupils vocabulary. (2) The explanations provided by teachers for their usage of the translation approach include the methods suit their teaching materials and it is easy to conduct.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the forms of technological influence in the digital era on the character of respect and courtesy of students and character education strategies that are carried out to minimize the negative influence of technology and the obstacles faced by the school. This study uses a qualitative approach, with a descriptive qualitative research type. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. While data analysis through three techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. And checking the validity of the data is done by technical triangulation and source triangulation. The results of the study show that the impact of technology on student character includes the impact on students' ways or patterns of communication, the impact on student attitudes and behavior, and the impact on student attitudes in learning. The character education strategy carried out by schools in minimizing the influence of technology on the character of respect and courtesy of students is carried out through self-development programs, integration in subjects, and school culture.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyajikan analisis bibliometrik yang komprehensif mengenai produktivitas penelitian pendidikan di negara-negara berkembang, dengan fokus khusus pada negara-negara Asia Tenggara. Dengan menggunakan teknik bibliometrik, penelitian ini mengkaji tren, pola, dan dampak dari publikasi penelitian pendidikan di wilayah tersebut. Analisis ini memberikan wawasan tentang hasil penelitian, jaringan kolaborasi, jenis publikasi, dampak sitasi, dan kolaborasi internasional. Temuan-temuannya menyoroti kekuatan, area untuk perbaikan, dan potensi kolaborasi di negara-negara berkembang di Asia Tenggara. Hasil penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai kondisi penelitian pendidikan saat ini di kawasan ini dan menawarkan wawasan yang berharga bagi para pembuat kebijakan, peneliti, dan institusi yang ingin meningkatkan produktivitas penelitian pendidikan.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the efficiency of data management at the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) Region 1 Medan through the implementation of a web-based digital archive information system using PHP and local databases. The research objectives include handling the problems of manual archival storage and data input using Excel. The system design, including flowmaps, use case diagrams, and development with PHP, was successfully implemented to improve accessibility and data management in the organization. The benefits of this research involve solutions to the problem of effective archive storage and management, supporting more informed decisions, and increasing the productivity of BMKG Region 1 Medan. In its implementation, this system helps minimize the risk of loss and damage to important data. Keywords : Digital Archives Information System, BMKG Region 1 Medan, Archives Management
