Abstract

Abstract This paper attempts to formulate the principles of multicultural-based curriculum development. This principle is indispensable in the process of curriculum formulation in the context of the national education system, especially in the midst of a multicultural Indonesian society. This paper aims to find the principles that will be used as the basis for curriculum development. Through several relevant literature reviews, there are two categories of principles, namely general and specific. The general principles relate to the domain of curriculum development in general. While the special principles relate to multicultural insight. Keywords: Principles, Curriculum Development, Multicultural. Abstrak Tulisan ini berupaya merumuskan prinsip-prinsip pengembangan kurikulum berbasis multikultural. Prinsip ini sangat diperlukan dalam proses perumusan kurikulum dalam konteks sistem pendidikan nasional, terlebih di tengah masyarakat Indonesia yang multikultural. Tulisan ini bertujuan menemukan prinsip-prinsip yang akan dijadikan dasar bagi pengembangan kurikulum. Melalui beberapa kajian pustaka yang relevan, ada dua kategori prinsip, yakni umum dan khusus. Prinsip umum berhubungan dengan domain pengembangan kurikulum pada umumnya. Sedangkan prinsip khusus berhubungan dengan wawasan multikultural. Abstract

Global developments and problems force Islamic educational institutions to play their role, and this is a formidable challenge, especially in the economic and science and technology fields. However, in the midst of these formidable challenges, there are actually a number of potentials that can be developed. In addition to the historical advantages of the values and characteristics of Islamic education in Indonesia as a moderate Islamic education, at the same time it actually contains a spirit of progress. This spirit of progress can be seen from the value base of moderation which actually provides opportunities for progress. It's just a matter of how to manage these values and characteristics into a mainstay competency to give birth to various advantages. The study in this paper wants to conceptualize multicultural competencies which are considered to be one of the important competencies in facing global competition. In addition, this study also wants to emphasize that multicultural competence is not only understood in the context of social harmony, but must be developed into an Islamic education strategy in bringing about change and progress without destroying the human order. While multicultural competence can be understood as cultural and social capital for the success of Islamic education graduates, it can also be understood in terms of capital for the development of Islamic educational institutions in creating diverse and globally competitive advantages

Abstract

Chikungunya adalah penyakit yang disebabkan oleh virus Chikungunya (CHIKV) yang ditandai dengan gejala demam tinggi dan nyeri sendi yang sangat parah. Kasus chikungunya yang terjadi pertama kali di Indonesia adalah di Kota Samarinda tahun 1973 dan tercatat menjadi KLB (Kejadian Luar Biasa), kemudian kasus tersebut hilang selama kurang lebih 20 tahun setelah itu mulai muncul lagi di tahun 2001 di Sumatera yang juga tercatat sebagai KLB. Tercatat kasus chikungunya di tahun 2001-2003 mencapai 3.918 total kasus tanpa kematian. Penyuluhan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar tingkat kematian yang diakibatkan oleh virus Chikungunya (CHIKV) dan mengetahui cara pencegahan dan pengobatan virus Chikungunya, khususnya di Desa Purwokerto, Kecamatan Ngimbang, Kabupaten Lamongan. Metode yang digunakan adalah melakukan pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka, survei kondisi lapangan dan penyuluhan terkait chikungunya. Dari hasil penyuluhan chikungunya didapat hasil positif yaitu meningkatnya pengetahuan masyarakat terkait penyakit chikungunya seperti gejala, cara pencegahan dan pengobatannya.

Abstract

Ritual practice is a basic feature in the religious life of a Muslim. Therefore, students in elementary schools are invited to practice religious rituals in learning the religion of Islam. Islamic Religious Education teachers try to teach students how to express their religion through rituals because ritual practice is a form of ritual communication. This study aims to describe and interpret the forms of religious rituals carried out in elementary schools, as well as communication models of religious rituals in building multicultural awareness. This study uses a qualitative-phenomenological approach. Data was collected by interviewing 18 informants in depth. Informants consisted of principals, religious teachers, parents and students. In addition, data were also obtained from several school documents. The research location is Setia Budhi Elementary School, East Java. Data analysis was carried out in three stages; data condensation, data display and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the communication of religious rituals that were expressed through Islamic Religious Education learning contained social messages from childhood. It can function as multicultural learning because the ritual communication is not only intended as a religious expression but as an expression of harmony and togetherness because they can cooperate with each other in celebrating their respective religious rituals. Although there is an exclusive side of a religion, such as prayer, fasting and others, in other rituals, they are able to communicate well, so that it contains learning content to respect each other.

Abstract

The article was a community service result at the Al-Harokah Nahdhatul Ulama Social Welfare Institution (LKS-NU). It is a Social Welfare Institution with a focus on strengthening institutional capacity. The dedication of institutional management capacity at LKS NU Al Harokah used the Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) method. The results of this service showed that the strengthening of the institutional management capacity of the NU LKS had formed a separate management model. The strengthening activity also had a flow that started from the resources owned, the approach used, and the implementation process to the output and outcomes resulting from community service.

Abstract

Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini merupakan pendidikan yang menjadi gerbang awal memasuki pendidikan selanjutnya. Dengan melaksanakan pendidikan sedini mungkin maka pendidikan tersebut dapat menjadi investasi di masa depan. Oleh karena itu salah satu pendidikan yang baik adalah pendidikan yang memperhatikan kepada minat dan bakat anak. Diakui atau tidak, memang pada dasarnya setiap manusia mempunyai potensi kreatif. Hanya saja dalam perjalanan hidupnya ada yag mendapatkan kesempatan untuk mengembangkan potensi kreatifnya, ada pula yang kehilangan potensi kreatifnya karena tidak mendapatkan kesempatan ataupun tidak menemukan lingkungan yang memfasilitasi berkembangnya potensi kreatif. Sungguh sangat disayangkan apabila potensi kretaif tersebut menghilang pada diri manusia. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan daya kreativitas anak usia dini menggunakan metode bermain alat musik saron. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kelas (PTK). Kegiatan dilakukan dengan mencermati suatu objek dengan menggunakan aturan metodologi tertentu untuk memperoleh data atau informasi yang bermanfaat untuk meningkatkan mutu suatu hal menarik minat dan penting bagi peneliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: pertama, mengajak anak bermain alat musik tradisional saron dapat meningkatkan kreativitas anak. Kedua, peningkatan kreativitas anak dengan bermain alat musik tradisional saron dapat berkembang sangat baik (BSB).

Abstract

This study examines the spiritual base of Pesantren, which is essential in building multicultural awareness. In Indonesia, Pesantren is an Islamic religious education institution emphasizing spirituality's importance. Pesantren is also closely related to various social and religious aspects. This study aims to find a spiritual base and its utilization in building multicultural awareness. This research uses a phenomenological qualitative study with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research was conducted for 1.5 years, from 2018-2019. Observations were made for a week every month. Interviews were conducted with 16 informants at site A and 13 at site B. Data analysis used a constant comparative model. From the results of the study, there are several significant findings: 1) Kiai's view of the spirituality of Islamic boarding schools related to multiculturalism is based on the monotheism of humanity; 2) Pesantrens have spiritual capital that comes from Sufistic teachings (Sufism) and interacts spirally with multiculturalism; 3) multicultural values are born from spiritual values that are grown and summarised in three categories of values, namely fundamental values, personal values , and social values; and 4) spiritual-multicultural interactions that continue to make students more multicultural competent. Multicultural awareness built through intense spirituality can birth "selfless multiculturalism"; an authentic multicultural attitude.
