Abstract

This research intends to discover the multicultural epistemology at Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). So far, Westerners and some university graduates have dominated the discourse on multicultural education, even though pesantren, with their distinctive intellectual capital, have their own perspectives on understanding, developing, and practicing multicultural education. Using phenomenological qualitative research on two pesantrens in Indonesia, this study uncovered that pesantrens have significant multicultural capital through personal, structural, or relational knowledge. For pesantren, multicultural education is not only an anthropological issue but rather a manifestation of the theology of humanity. Multicultural education for pesantren is a legacy of traditions of freedom of opinion, openness to differences, and the essence of humanity.

Abstract

This study examines the spiritual base of Pesantren, which is essential in building multicultural awareness. In Indonesia, Pesantren is an Islamic religious education institution emphasizing spirituality's importance. Pesantren is also closely related to various social and religious aspects. This study aims to find a spiritual base and its utilization in building multicultural awareness. This research uses a phenomenological qualitative study with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research was conducted for 1.5 years, from 2018-2019. Observations were made for a week every month. Interviews were conducted with 16 informants at site A and 13 at site B. Data analysis used a constant comparative model. From the results of the study, there are several significant findings: 1) Kiai's view of the spirituality of Islamic boarding schools related to multiculturalism is based on the monotheism of humanity; 2) Pesantrens have spiritual capital that comes from Sufistic teachings (Sufism) and interacts spirally with multiculturalism; 3) multicultural values are born from spiritual values that are grown and summarised in three categories of values, namely fundamental values, personal values , and social values; and 4) spiritual-multicultural interactions that continue to make students more multicultural competent. Multicultural awareness built through intense spirituality can birth "selfless multiculturalism"; an authentic multicultural attitude.

Abstract

This research discusses the Internalization of Universal Religious Values ​​in developing Religious Moderation in Torue State Senior High Schools. This research examines the process of internalizing universal religious values ​​in developing religious moderation and the impact of the results of internalizing universal religious values ​​in developing religious moderation at State Senior High School Torue. This research uses a qualitative approach, and data is collected through observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and written document analysis. The results of this research show that four values are internalized in State Senior High School 1 Torue, namely, the value of justice, the value of tolerance, the value of humanity, and the value of peace. The process of internalizing universal religious values ​​is carried out through several stages. The first stage is value transformation through awareness by understanding religious values. Next, the value transaction process involves direction, guidance, and examples for students to adhere to religious values. From the results of the transinternalization carried out, students have been able to apply the universal religious values ​​that are instilled, including in the implementation of policies or regulations made by the school, providing encouragement to students to practice good values ​​in their actions, following the good examples of the students and educators, as well as creating a harmonious environment in schools. The impact of internalizing religious values ​​plays an essential role in forming the character of moderate, tolerant students who respect religious diversity, respect their elders, are disciplined, are used to differences, are used to practicing worship, are close to friends, and are socially concerned.

Abstract

This project's objective is to create students' character in line with the values ​​of Pancasila which have been inherited since the founding of Indonesia. This field survey using the case study method targets schools that have implemented a uniform independent learning curriculum across all classes Document analysis, observations, and interviews were used as data gathering methods.This research shows that the P5 project at SMKN 1 Palu has successfully promoted multicultural values such as tolerance, empathy, cooperation, and appreciation of diversity among students of different religions and cultures. Students can express their cultural identity and appreciate differences through various activities such as art exhibitions, work performances, and interactive learning in class. This research concludes that the P5 project can effectively strengthen multicultural values for the school environment includes students from various religions and cultures. This study suggests the need for continued support and collaboration between schools, families, communities, and the government to ensure the success of implementing P5 in schools. By synergizing with all stakeholders, we can encourage pupils should participate actively in efforts to maintain harmony of diversity and national resilience of the Indonesian nation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the actualisation of inclusive values in religious learning and examine how the values of tasamuh, ta'awun, and justice are applied at SMA Karuna Dipa Palu, which has a diversity of ethnicities, cultures, and religions. The main objective is to assess how these values strengthen inclusive religious education and identify opportunities and challenges in their implementation. This study uses a qualitative field study method with a case study approach, collecting data through interviews, observations, and documentation analysis to understand the application of inclusivism values in religious education at Karuna Dipa High School, with data analysis carried out using the Miles and Huberman techniques which include data condensation, data presentation, and concluding. The formal-textual approach in religious learning actualises the values of inclusivity through the opening, core, and closing stages. In the opening stage, teachers from various religions prepare the class and motivate students. In the core stage, the values of openness, tolerance, mutual assistance, and justice are taught through each religion's teachings. In the closing stage, teachers and students summarise necessary materials and give assignments, thus creating solid social solidarity in the school. Karuna Dipa High School faces challenges in developing inclusivism values, such as limited technological resources, visualisation facilities for materials, and limited learning time. In addition, the lack of sustainable religious programs also hinders students' comprehensive understanding of inclusivism. This research implies that inclusivism values in religious education can strengthen social solidarity and inclusivity in diverse schools but requires increased resources, facilities, and sustainable programs for optimal results.

Abstract

Pendidikan memiliki peran yang sangat strategis dalam pengembangan dan peningkatan mutu sumber daya manusia. Sebagaimana dimaktub dalam Undang-undang Republik Indonesia Nomor 20 tahun 2003 tentang sistem pendidikan nasional. Peningkatan dan pengembangan mutu pendidikan tersebut dipengaruhi oleh sistem manajeman yang ada, oleh sebab itu pengambilan keputusan yang tepat berdampak pada peningkatan mutu pendidikan di Indonesia.Peningkatan mutu pelayanan akademik di Ma’ahad Al-Jami’ah UIN Datokarama Palu dipengaruhi oleh sistem pengambilan keputusan oleh direktur atau pimpinan. Adapun mutu pelayanan akademik di Ma'had Al-Jami'ah UIN Datokarama Palu yang dipengaruhi oleh pengambilan keputusan dapat menjadi kompleks dan memerlukan pendekatan yang cermat. Beberapa masalah yang terjadi dan terkait dengan pengambilan keputusan di lingkungan pendidikan Ma'had Al-Jami'ah UIN Datokarama Palu seperti pengambilan keputusan yang tidak terkoordinasi antara unit-unit akademik dan administratif dapat menyebabkan ketidakjelasan dalam kebijakan dan prosedur, yang pada gilirannya mempengaruhi mutu pelayanan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of the school environment on the learning motivation of students at Negeri 9 Palu. The research method used in this study is quantitative. The instrument in this study uses a questionnaire. The research data that has been collected is analyzed with the help of a computer program using statistical product and service solution (SPSS), and the results of the hypothesis test are analyzed using a simple linear regression test. The results of the study show a calculated t value of 7.727> t table 1.986. With a significant value of 0.001 < 0.005. The results of this study can also be seen in the coefficient of determination that the contribution of the influence of the variable (X), namely the school environment, to the variable (Y), namely learning motivation, is 41%. The conclusion of the results of this study shows that there is a significant influence of the school environment on the learning motivation of students in the subject of Islamic Religious Education at SMP Negeri 9 Palu. This finding emphasizes the importance of a supportive and engaging school environment in fostering students' motivation to learn, particularly in subjects like Islamic Religious Education. Future research could explore additional factors that may further enhance learning motivation in this context.

Abstract

Moderate Islamic education with a tolerant curriculum amidst diversity is crucial in shaping a generation that not only understands religious teachings but also values social and cultural differences. In Indonesia, which is rich in pluralism, the development of an Islamic education curriculum that prioritizes moderation and tolerance is a key challenge in fostering social peace. This study aims to recommend a model for designing Islamic education curricula that instills values of moderation, interfaith tolerance, and respect for differences. The approach used in this study is qualitative, with a library research method, relying on the collection of relevant literature to explore the concepts and best practices in moderate curriculum design. The results of the study indicate that an Islamic education curriculum that emphasizes moderation and tolerance must integrate materials on religious pluralism, apply dialogical and collaborative teaching methods, and include assessments based on attitudes of tolerance toward differences. Additionally, the curriculum should prioritize teaching universal values such as peace, justice, and mutual respect. Collaboration between the government, educational institutions, and society is essential to realizing an adaptive, inclusive Islamic education curriculum that can create a more peaceful and harmonious society amidst diversity.

Abstract

Era metaverse merupakan paradigma yang dibangun di atas dasar kecanggihan teknologi dan telah memasuki banyak sektor kehidupan, salah satunya pada sisi pendidikan. Hal ini menuntut sebuah Lembaga Pendidikan harus melakukan transformasi guna memberikan pengalaman pembelajaran yang kreatif dan semakin efektif. Sebagai respon atas perkembangan teknologi sistem informasi tersebut, maka Direktorat Guru dan Tenaga Kependidikan (GTK) Madrasah Kementerian Agama telah mengembangkan suatu produk pendidikan berbasis virtual reality yang diberi nama Madrasah Land. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mixed method menggunakan model convergent parallel. Lokasi penelitian adalah tujuh madrasah dari tingkat Ibtidaiyah hingga Aliyah, baik swasta maupun negeri se-Kota Buol dengan mengambil sampel 36 guru, 7 kepala madrasah, dan 3 pejabat struktural dari Kantor Kementerian Agama Kab. Buol. Data yang didapatkan kemudian dianalisis dengan dua metode yaitu data kuantitatif dianalisis dengan regresi berganda menggunakan SPSS 28 For Windows dan data kualitatif dianalisis dengan SWOT yang akan divisualisasikan dengan diagram dan matriks. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara parsial karakteristik inovasi yang berpengaruh secara signifikan hanya Trialability (X4), akan tetapi Secara simultan, karakteristik inovasi berupa Relative Advantage (X1), Compatibility (X2), Complexity (X3), Trialability (X4), dan Observability (X5) pada inovasi aplikasi Madrasah Land berpengaruh secara signifikan pada variabel kesiapan adopsi aplikasi Madrasah Land oleh stakeholder lingkungan Kementerian Agama Kab. Buol, yang juga banyak dipengaruhi oleh mandatory system yang berlaku berdasarkan data informan.

Abstract

Pendidikan harus diorientasikan pada peningkatan mutu pelayanan agar mendorong semangat belajar peserta didik dan menghasilkan output pendidikan yang bermutu. Dari hal tersebut, dengan pengetahuan lembaga pendidikan telah memunculkan konsep dan strategi baru dalam memberikan layanan pada pengguna jasa pendidikan. Salah satunya adalah dengan menerapkan sistem informasi manajemen (SIM) untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan agar lebih efektif dan efisien. Pada Fokus Penelitian peneliti meliputi tiga aspek diantaranya : 1) Bagaimana Perencanaan Sistem Informasi Manajemen dalam Meningkatkan Tata Kelola Akademik di MAN Biau? 2) Bagaimana Pelaksanaan Sistem Informasi Manajemen dalam Meningkatkan Tata Kelola Akademik di MAN Biau? 3) Bagaimana Evaluasi Sistem Informasi Manajemen dalam Meningkatkan Tata Kelola Akademik di MAN Biau? Yang mana penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan bagaimana proses perencaaan, pelaksanaan serta evaluasi sistem informasi manajemen dalam meningkatkan Tata Kelola Akademik di MAN Biau. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, adapun jenis penelitian ini berupa fenomenologis dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian yaitu: 1) Perencanaan Sistem Informasi Manajemen dilakukan pada saat Rapat Kerja tepatnya pada awal tahun ajaran baru yang menghasilkan perencanaan sebagai berikut; Merumuskan Tujuan SIM, Menentukan Sasaran SIM, dan Menentukan Media/aplikasi SIM yang akan digunakan. 2) Pelaksanaan Sistem Informasi Manajemen yang meliputi; Proses implementasi SIM yaitu EMIS, SIMPATIKA, RDM, dan SIMSAPRAS. 3) Evaluasi Sistem Informasi Manajemen berdasarkan penilaian yang berorientasi pada pengukuran tingkat kualitas sistem informasi manajemen meliputi; Akurasi data, Tepat waktu, dan Relevansi data serta faktor pendukung dan faktor penghambat pada penerapan sistem informasi manajemen.
