Abstract

The integration of entrepreneurship education is one of competences under the lifelong education concept. Entrepreneurship gives a relevant perspective in deciding the best way for students as preparation to face the future. This study was conducted to enhance the students’ entrepreneurship through business plan competition. The method applied was qualitative method with field research approach that the information was from the research objects which were the participants. The research subjects were students of Community Education Department UPI who participated in the competition. The result showed that mentoring is a kind of accompaniment to support and encourage students in developing their business. Business developed in social entrepreneurship, both commercial and non-commercial, is related to scientific development of community education. Mentoring can encourage the aspiring entrepreneurs to facilitate marketing and to implement their developed business plan.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this community service activity in Klender Village is: to increase knowledge in society, especially among housewives on inorganic waste management. Proceed inorganic waste into various useful things creations (hasta work). Besides that, it is also to be able to empower mothers so that they can help their husbands to earn socio-economic income. The training methods are lectures, questions and answers, and demonstrations. The training was held in Tidung Besar, Kepulauan Seribu, Indonesia. The presenter conveyed information systematically and demonstrated waste processing into interesting recycling creations. The participants were active in asking questions and practicing waste management. The final result of community service proved that participants have knowledge about waste processing and are skilled in practicing waste processing into various recycled creations. This training could empower housewives to earn income and gain social and economy condition. Creation products produced by housewives in the Tidung Besar area are in the form of various recycled creations (flowers, brooches, and bag decorations). Abstrak Tujuan dilaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Kelurahan Tidung Kepulauan Seribu ini adalah: untuk meningkatkan wawasan pengetahuan masyarakat khususnya ibu-ibu rumah tangga tentang pengolahan sampah anorganik menjadi aneka kreasi (hasta karya) daur ulang yang bermanfaat. Selain itu juga untuk dapat memberdayakan ibu-ibu agar dapat membantu suami memperoleh pendapatan secara sosial ekonomi. Metode pelatihan yaitu ceramah, tanya jawab, dan demontrasi. Pelaksanaan pelatihan di daerah Tidung Besar Kepulauan Seribu. Dalam proses pelatihan narasumber menyampaikan informasi dengan sistematis dan melakukan praktik pengolahan sampah menjadi kreasi daur ulang yang menarik. Adapun peserta aktif bertanya dan praktik pengolahan sampah. Hasil akhir pengabdian pada masyarakat terbukti bahwa ibu-ibu rumah tangga memiliki pengetahuan tentang pengolahan sampah dan terampil mempraktikan pengolahan sampah menjadi aneka kreasi daur ulang. Secara bertahap, pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat memberdayakan ibu-ibu rumah tangga memperoleh pendapatan, membantu suami secara sosial ekonomi. Produk kreasi yang dihasilkan ibu-ibu rumah tangga di wilayah Tidung Besar itu berbentuk aneka kreasi daur ulang (bunga, bros, hiasan tas).

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of an interactive e-workbook designed to enhance the competencies of eco-facilitators in environmental education. Using a pretest-posttest design, we assessed improvements in key competencies, including facilitating sustainable behaviors, practical environmental skills, and theoretical knowledge. The results show significant increases in posttest scores across all measured domains, with the greatest gains observed in facilitating eco-friendly learning activities and designing sustainable projects. Statistical analyses, including paired t-tests and Cohen’s d, confirmed a substantial impact, with an effect size of 39.63, highlighting the e-workbook's practical significance in skill enhancement. User satisfaction and usability assessments revealed high engagement with the content and functional accessibility, though minor areas for improvement were identified. These findings underscore the potential of interactive e-learning tools in supporting eco-facilitators to promote environmental literacy and sustainable practices. This research provides valuable insights into digital education strategies for environmental professionals and suggests opportunities for further refinement and broader application in diverse educational settings.
