Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the level of effectiveness of the usability analysis of the Academic Information System (SISFO) at the PGRI Palembang University. This research uses 2 (two) methods in analyzing, namely, the Webqual 4.0 method and the SUS (System Usability Scale) method. The sample in this research amounted to 385 people both from students, lecturers and staff at the PGRI University of Palembang. The results of this study are, (1) through analysis using Webqual 4.0, it is found that overall usability affects user satisfaction, (2) through analysis using SUS it is found that respondents assess SISFO at PGRI Palembang University. using the system well, after a while of not using it. This research was conducted by applying quantitative methods according to the objective, namely to determine the quality of the academic information system (SISFO) at the PGRI Palembang University. To measure the quality of the academic system, this study uses the Webqual 4.0 method and the System Usability Scale (SUS). Based on the results of this study will be explained as usability. The hypothesis of the utility variable is that the significance value is 0.000 <0.05. From this comparison, the results obtained are H0 rejected and Ha accepted, which means that the usability variable has a significant effect on usability satisfaction (Academic Information System) SUS. keywords: Usability, system Informasi Akademic (Sisfo)

Abstract

Perubahan sikap siswa pada fase pra pubertas, penelitian dilakukan di SDN 02 Suka Agung. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VI yang tidak dapat bekerjasama dengan baik terhadap teman sekelasnya, subjek dalam penelitian dibatasi sebanyak 12 orang. Data ini merupakan hasil pengamatan dengan kolabulator yang dituangkan dalam tahap refleksi pada tiap-tiap siklus. Kriteria peningkatan antara siklus I dan siklus II ialah sekurang-kurangnya 50% SDN 02 Suka Agung. Penelitian dengan menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen. Indikator dalam penelitian ini berupa meningkatkan kerjasama siswa yang dianalisis untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya peningkatan kerjasama melalui layanan informasi menggunakan teknik observasi dengan membandingkan sebelum dan selama aktivitas berlangsung, akan terlihat: 1) yang memiliki rasa ingin tahu, 2) yang pemalu, 3) yang mempunyai self esteem yang rendah, 4) yang terisolasi, 5) yang menerima fisiknya. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa layanan informasi menggunakan teknik observasi dalam meningkatkan kerjasama sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dengan baik.

Abstract

Perkembangan era digitalisasi yang semakin pesat telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam dunia pendidikan, terutama di bidang teknologi informasi. SMK Pembangunan YPT Palembang, khususnya Program Keahlian Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan (TKJ), memiliki potensi besar untuk menghasilkan lulusan yang kompeten dan siap bersaing di industri digital. Namun demikian, masih ditemukan permasalahan terkait kurangnya pemahaman siswa dalam hal desain website dan perancangan tampilan visual. Keterampilan ini merupakan salah satu kompetensi penting yang dibutuhkan di dunia kerja saat ini. Sebagai bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat, dosen Program Studi Informatika Universitas PGRI Palembang menyelenggarakan sosialisasi pembuatan mockup plan website menggunakan aplikasi Canva. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan desain visual siswa, sekaligus memperkaya wawasan mereka dalam perencanaan antarmuka pengguna (UI) yang menarik dan fungsional. Pelatihan ini tidak hanya berkontribusi pada peningkatan kompetensi teknis siswa, tetapi juga membuka peluang pengembangan kurikulum yang lebih relevan dengan kebutuhan industri. Selain itu, kegiatan ini turut mempererat kerja sama antara SMK dan perguruan tinggi. Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan para siswa tidak hanya lebih siap memasuki dunia kerja, tetapi juga semakin termotivasi untuk melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi, khususnya di Universitas PGRI Palembang.

Abstract

This study was conducted to assess the level of usability and user satisfaction with the Academic Information System of Universitas PGRI Palembang. The evaluation employed the WebQual 4.0 method and was based on survey responses collected from students, lecturers, and staff who actively use the system. The results show that both usability and user satisfaction scored above 75%, indicating that the system is considered easy to use, capable of presenting relevant information, and effective in supporting various academic activities such as course registration (KRS), grade access, and course data management. The research instruments were also proven valid and reliable, making them appropriate tools for assessing the quality of the system’s services. However, several indicators require improvement, particularly those related to interface design and user experience. The indicators for attractive appearance (X1.5) and positive user experience (X1.8) scored lower than others, suggesting the need for interface redesign and more user-friendly guidance materials. Regression analysis further indicates that usability has a significant influence on user satisfaction, meaning that enhancements in navigation, interface consistency, and ease of access will directly contribute to higher satisfaction levels. Overall, this study provides a comprehensive overview of the quality of the Academic Information System and serves as an essential foundation for the development of a system that is more responsive, efficient, and adaptive to the needs of the academic community

Abstract

Intelligence Quotient (IQ) is widely assumed to be a primary determinant of academic success, yet preliminary observations in the Guidance and Counseling Study Program of FKIP Universitas PGRI Palembang showed that several students with superior IQ obtained lower grade point averages (GPA) than their peers in the average category. This study aimed to examine the correlation between IQ and the learning outcomes of the 2023 cohort. A quantitative correlational design was employed with total sampling of 72 students. IQ data were collected using the Culture Fair Intelligence Test (CFIT) Scale 3, and learning outcomes were obtained from students' GPA documents in the first and second semesters of the 2023/2024 academic year. Data were analyzed using normality, linearity, and homogeneity tests, Spearman's rank correlation, and simple linear regression. The results showed no statistically significant correlation between IQ and GPA (Spearman's rho = -0.078, p = 0.514; regression coefficient p = 0.271 > 0.05), with IQ accounting for only 1.7% of the variance in learning outcomes (R² = 0.017), while the remaining 98.3% was explained by other factors. These findings indicate that IQ alone does not determine students' academic achievement and imply that guidance and counseling services should also address non-cognitive factors such as motivation, learning habits, and emotional aspects to optimize student learning outcomes.
