Abstract

Abstract The current rapid and extensive development of rail-based transportation systems, both operationally and in terms of their infrastructure, raises the question of the readiness and awareness of the public, especially among the younger generation, to keep pace with these advancements. The swift evolution of technology, coupled with the increasing complexity of rail networks and the growing number of stations, often leaves train users, especially newcomers, bewildered. This confusion stems from the fact that the procedures for boarding, as well as the ethical culture and safety practices associated with each type of train, vary and have their own specific regulations. Therefore, there is a need for educational efforts in the fields of station literacy, social and ethical culture, and safety.The objectives of this initiative are as follows 1) Introducing various types of trains, including their corporate logos and mascots; 2) Enhancing knowledge about station literacy; 3) Promoting an ethical culture within train stations; 4) Disseminating safety messages at train stations and level crossings. The outcomes of this community-based empowerment program include 1) Increasing the knowledge of our partners, encompassing the readiness of children as the future generation to use trains operating in Indonesia; 2) Fostering polite and rule-abiding ethical behavior in trains and train stations; 3) Cultivating safety-conscious behavior among children and teachers in trains, train stations, and level crossings. Educational aids for this endeavor will employ play-based media designed in accordance with the learning outcomes for Early Childhood Education and Elementary School, encompassing three aspects: Religion and Morality, Self-Identity, and Fundamentals of Literacy and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). Abstrak Perkembangan dan pembangunan moda transportasi berbasis rel saat ini berlangsung sangat cepat dan masif baik dari aspek operasional maupun sistemnya. Lalu yang menjadi pertanyaan bagaimana kesiapan (readiness) dan kesadaran (awareness) masyarakat dalam mengikuti perkembangan tersebut terlebih lagi generasi anak-anak. Pesatnya perkembangan teknologi, diiringi dengan semakin kompleksnya jalur jaringan kereta dan bertambahnya jumlah stasiun sering kali membuat pengguna kereta apalagi pengguna baru kebingungan. Hal ini disebabkan oleh informasi cara naik serta budaya beretika dan keselamatan untuk masing-masing jenis kereta akan mempunyai perbedaan dan peraturannya masing-masing. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan edukasi di bidang pendidikan mengenai literasi stasiun, bidang sosial budaya (budaya beretika) dan bidang keselamatan. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini yaitu 1) Memperkenalkan berbagai jenis kereta dari logo perusahaan dan maskot; 2) Meningkatkan pengetahuan literasi stasiun; 3) Meningkatkan pengetahuan budaya beretika di stasiun; 4) Menyampaikan pesan keselamatan di stasiun kereta dan perlintasan sebidang. Luaran dari pemberdayaan berbasis masyarakat ini yakni meningkatkan pengetahuan mitra meliputi 1) Kesiapan anak-anak sebagai generasi mendatang agar dapat naik kereta yang beroperasi di Indonesia; 2) Terciptanya perilaku beretika yang santun dan sesuai aturan yang diberlakukan di kereta dan stasiun kereta ; 3) Terciptanya perilaku berkeselamatan di kalangan anak-anak dan juga guru di kereta, stasiun kereta, dan perlintasan sebidang. Media alat bantu ajar yang akan dipakai menggunakan media berbasis bermain yang akan didesain sesuai dengan capaian Pembelajaran untuk Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini dan SD yang terdiri dari tiga aspek, yaitu Agama dan Akhlak, Jati diri, dan Dasar-Dasar Literasi dan STEAM.

Abstract

A level crossing between railways and roads is one of the critical traffic elements in a road network system as it can cause significant delays and long queues, especially when the crossing is part of an urban road network. This study aims to analyze traffic performance at level crossings using a microsimulation approach with the PTV VISSIM software. The model is designed to explicitly simulate the interaction between trains and vehicles by utilizing features such as priority rules, public transport lines, and reduced speed areas, and calibrating it based on field data. This research takes a case study of the level crossing at Jalan Abdul Rahman Saleh – Nurtanio, Bandung City. Data collection was conducted through direct observation via field surveys and data from supporting literature documents. The analysis results indicate that the existing traffic performance is at a Level of Service F, with an average intersection delay exceeding 60 seconds per vehicle. Microsimulation recommends the construction of a grade-separated intersection as a solution to improve traffic performance in the future.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis tundaan dan antrean yang terjadi di lokasi perlintasan kereta api Jalan Sunda di Kota Bandung. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada dua lokasi pengamatan yang berbeda. Data pada lokasi pengamatan 1 dilakukan selama 12 jam ditujukan untuk membangun hubungan arus, kecepatan, dan kerapatan. Sementara pengamatan 2 ditujukan untuk menganalisis antrean dan tundaan pada jam puncak. Hubungan antara arus, kecepatan, dan kerapatan dibangun menggunakan model Greenshields, Greenberg, dan Underwood, kemudian dipilih model yang terbaik. Model terbaik yang terpilih adalah model Greenshields. Dari model ini didapatkan nilai kecepatan arus bebas sebesar 51,1 km/jam dan nilai kerapatan macet sebesar79,2 smp/km. Analisis tundaan dan antrean menggunakan metode gelombang kejut. Saat kondisi pintu perlintasan tertutup, hasil tundaan terbesar 159,7 detik dan antrean terbesar 82,3 smp/lajur pada interval waktu penutupan 16:05:30 – 16:08:23. Sementara itu, saat kondisi pintu perlintasan terbuka, hasil tundaan rata-rata sebesar 2,4 detik.

Abstract

Mass rapid transit (MRT), inaugurated in 2019 by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, was designed to address the city's transportation challenges by improving accessibility and reducing spatial disparities. This study assessed the MRT’s impact on accessibility and spatial equity, specifically regarding travel time, economic potential, and travel fares. Primary data was collected through a questionnaire to identify passengers' origins and destinations, which was used to analyze the catchment area and calculate real-time travel times during peak hours via a navigation application. Secondary data helped calculate accessibility and spatial equity for two scenarios: with and without the MRT. GIS (Geographic Information System) was used to facilitate a visual understanding of the findings. The analysis revealed that while the MRT improved overall accessibility regarding travel time and economic potential, it failed to reduce travel fares, which are higher than those of other public transportation options like Jaklingko, TransJakarta, and KRL. Moreover, the MRT operation worsened spatial disparities, increasing the gap in accessibility between different areas of the city. In conclusion, while MRT has succeeded in enhancing travel efficiency and boosting the economic potential of several regions, it has also highlighted a growing spatial inequality, particularly regarding travel fares, which remain a challenge for equitable access to transportation across Jakarta.
