Abstract

Aquaculture is a fishery activity that produces fish with human intervention to gain profit. Freshwater fish is one of the fishery cultivation commodities that have economic value. Langsa City is one of the cities that has developed freshwater aquaculture. The village in Langsa city that has tried to cultivate freshwater fish is the village of Meurandeh Teungoh. This activity aims to identify the morphology and morphometry of freshwater fish species located in Meurandeh Teungoh Village, Langsa Lama District, Langsa City, Langsa District, Aceh. The methods used in this research are quantitative. Based on the research results, it was found that there were 8 types of freshwater fish consisting of the claridae, pangasidae, anabantidae, cyprinidae, and cichlidae tribes.

Abstract

Kombucha is a fermented product of sweet tea solution which is added with kombucha starter and scoby. Kombucha culture is a combination of bacteria and yeast called SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast). This activity aims to determine the effect of time on the organoleptic test in making kombucha tea. This study used quantitative methods and data collection techniques by conducting organoleptic tests on respondents, in this study using a completely randomized design (CRD). Organoleptic consisting of taste, aroma and color. The results showed that on average all respondents preferred kombucha tea on the 15th day of fermentation. The organoleptic test conducted on 30 respondents had a preference level with the highest percentage for each parameter consisting of 60% taste, 70% aroma and 70% color. Where the longer the fermentation time, the level of preference of the testers for the organoleptic response increases.

Abstract

Langsa City is a city located in the province of Nangroe Aceh Darussalam with an area of 262.41 km2 with a population of 165,890 people. Meurandeh Village is one of the villages located in Langsa city, precisely in Langsa Lama. Meurandeh is one of the places that produces plants from the Tradescantia genus. This research aims to identify and differentiate the stomata of three types of plants from the Tradescantia genus. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with observational data collection techniques. The results of this research show that the three types of plants from the Tradescantia genus have three neighboring cells and a tetracytic type of stomata. Of these three types of plants, there are differences in the shape and structure of the stomata.

Abstract

Abstract

Nila fish (Oreochromis niloticus) is one of the leading commodities in freshwater fish cultivation in Indonesia is a freshwater fish commonly found in Indonesian waters. Media will be the main obstacle in cultivating tilapia on idle land (land that cannot be operated). Different water media influence the physiological responses of tilapia fish. The purpose of this activity is to determine the effect of differences in freshwater, brackish water and sea water media on the physiological response of tilapia fish. The parameters of this research are differences in water media, physical factors of the media, survival of tilapia fish, respiration rate of tilapia fish, mobility of tilapia fish, weight of tilapia fish and flexibility of tilapia scales. This study used quantitative methods with a completely randomized design (RAL). The collection technique makes observations. Data were analyzed using ANOVA with a significance level of 5%. The results of this study show that differences in the aquatic environment significantly affect the physiological response of tilapia. Where in sea water the fish mortality rate is quite high compared to fresh water and brackish water.
