Abstract

This study aims to develop word wall media as a vocabulary learning media for eighth garde students of MTs Sirojut Tholibiin Sutojayan in recount text material. That focuses on word meaning, pronounce words and classifiying word types (adjectives, noun, adverb, and verb). Besed on the result of interviews with English teacher, students are still lacking in vocabulary mastery, very few students carry English dictionaries. According to observation the result of with their students they only used textbooks without using other media. The reseracher conduct Research and Development which was developed by Dick and Carry (1996), namely ADDIE there are five steps, namely (analyze, design, development, implementation and evaluation). The instrument in this study used field notes, interview guides, and questionnaires. The techniques used are questionnaires, observation, interview and documentation. The result of research show that learning by using word wall media is powerful for teaching vocabulary to eighth grade students of MTs Sirojut Tholibiin Sutojayan. Students become easy to remember the meaning of the newly known vocabulary and students understand the types of word classification. Keywords:  ADDIE Method; Teaching Vocabulary; Word Wall Media

Abstract

Latar belakang pengembangan Sarung Tangan Refleksi untuk Peregangan Pemain E-sport Mobile Legends di Kota Blitar adalah minimnya alat peregangan untuk pemain e-sport dan pemain sering mengalami kaku pada jari dan cedera, sarung tangan refleksi adalah solusi untuk menunjang kenyamanan pemain dalam bermain game. Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sarung tangan refleksi dan untuk mengetahui kelayakan sarung tangan refleksi sehingga dapat menghasilkan produk sarung tangan yang valid dan layak sehingga dapat digunakan untuk peregangan sebelum bermain game. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan research and development (R&D). Model research and development (R&D) yang digunakan peneliti dalam mengembangkan produk yaitu menggunakan model Borg and Gall dengan prosedur pengembangan 7 tahapan pengembangan produk. Tahap validasi produk dilakukan oleh validator. Responden penelitian pemain e-sport. Instrumen yang digunakan, Wawancara, Observasi, Lembar Validasi Produk, dan Lembar Kuesioner responden. Hasil Uji validitas mendapatkan skor 92% (Sangat Valid) dan 88% (Sangat Valid) bertujuan untuk menilai kevalidan, untuk penilaian responden pemain e-sport mendapat skor 87% (Sangat Layak) bertujuan untuk menilai kelayakan produk. Simpulan penelitian sarung tangan refleksi menunjukkan hasil penilaian memenuhi kriteria “Valid”, dan kategori penilaian “Layak” dan “Sangat Layak” sehingga dapat dijadikan alat peregangan untuk pemain e-sport Mobile Legends di Kota Blitar

Abstract

This study aims to the developing scramble game media to teach vocabulary skill on descriptive text. Base on the result of interviews with English teacher and students are lacking in vocabulary. The researcher used the R&D model by ADDIE because ADDIE model. The ADDIE research and development procedure basically consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and, evaluation. The research instruments and data collection techniques in this study used  filed notes, interview guideline, and questionnaires. The results of the research show that used scramble game is powerful for adding vocabulary to MTs Syekh Subakir 2 Sumberasri. This is evidenced by the results of the questionnaires distributed to students after using scramble game media in descriptive lessons to get a total score of 96% from the results of a questionnaire of 21 students, which means that this media is very good for used in increasing English vocabulary. Students find it easier to remember the meaning of new vocabulary and could improve learning activities, especially in adding English vocabulary. Keywords:  ADDIE; Vocabulary; Scramble Game

Abstract

Children learn many things in Kindergarten, including language learning. One of the languages they learn in Kindergarten is English. The teacher and students are needing some appropriate media to deliver materials, such as the pop-up book. This research is Research and Development (R&D) with using the ADDIE model. The data in this research are collected through interviews, observation, questionnaires, and student test results. The validation from the media expert resulted in 92,5%, while the validation from the material expert resulted in 95%. There were enhancements in the student's test results, from 37,86% (when pre-test) to 82,86% (when post-test). The result conveyed that there was an improvement in English learning by using the pop-up book. The pop-up book can be an appropriate media to teach English in Kindergarten. Keywords:  Pop-Up Book; Learning Media; Teach English; Kindergarten; ADDIE Model

Abstract

This research aims to develop PPT interactive English for recount text material at MA Ma'arif Udanawu. This product was developed in response to the dearth of teaching resources available to educators. Since textbooks and ebooks are typically the only learning tools used, the offered information is less engaging. Students also lack self-assurance when speaking. They fear making grammatical or pronunciation errors. The aim of this research is to create an ADDIE-based PPT interactive. Interviews and questionnaires were used to gather data. At MA Ma'arif Udanawu, 38 students in MIPA 5 received questionnaires. In the meantime, the English teacher and several students were interviewed. The validity of PPT interactive learning media on English material with recount text material has been tested with the results of instrument validity of 88%, media (design) validity of 100% and material validity (content) of 97% with very valid criteria and feasible to use. The practicality of interactive PPT learning media on recount text material obtained a questionnaire result from student responses of 82% with very practical and appropriate criteria for use.

Abstract

English material in Islamic Vocational High School of Kanigoro Blitar majoring in online business and marketing still using general English and not specified by the major itself. This study has been conducted to find out how and the result of the development of English supplementary book for online business and marketing class. The research and development process of this article is using ADDIE model which had been developed by Dick and Carry and it has five phases (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Develop, (4) Implementation, (5) Evaluation. The researcher also took quantitative data for reliability and validity test by giving questionnaire in order to know how unique, valid, and appropriate media with the material. The questionnaire will be used as a evaluation consideration and if needed the product will be revised based on the data that has been gained. The questionnaire to test students’ satisfaction got 88% score which is defined as excellent, based on the questionnaire, students feel highly satisfied on the media design where the cover has 4.57 point out of 5 and font, illustration, color pick, and layout scored 4.78 out of 5.

Abstract

The aims of this research is to find out the processes and results in developing spin wheels for teaching explanatory text especially in writing skill. This research was conducted because students had difficulty in producing a text. Besides that, the lack of supporting media is also a factor students getting bored in learning. The technique used by the researcher was direct observation and unstructured interview with the English teacher and all student class XI MIA of MA Bustanul Mutaallimin. Researcher also distributed questionnaires to all students at the end of the study to find out whether the spin wheel was decent or not. The media that developed by researcher got a score of 90% from the media expert validation and 87,5% from the material expert validation, both can be said to be “very valid”. While the questionnaire from students responses the researcher got a score 85,75% which means “very decent”. So that, the spin wheel media can be used by the teacher in teaching explanatory text in writing skills to the students.
