Abstract

Abstract

The phenomenon of policy conflicts that emerge in society and policy change requires an examination of the policies that are the focus of this research. With a focus on the dynamic nature and process of stakeholder-generated policies, identification is conducted over the long term, emphasizing conflict. The alcohol investment policy generated many pros and cons, prompting the government to intervene and later cancel the policy. When considering the identification of policy conflicts through the lens of the Advocacy Coalition Framework, it is important to examine the severity and speed of policy change. The findings of this study show that investment policies only fulfill economic requirements, ignoring all other considerations and standards. To support the social fabric of society, policy regulations are needed that accommodate all interests and produce win-win solutions. From upstream to downstream, alcohol circulation can be regulated using a comprehensive strategy. Policy conflicts are evaluated based on their nature, intensity, and causes through the lens of context and events.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to investigate the impact of changes in the business models within the entertainment sector. Companies such as Netflix and Spotify were selected as samples to support the theory and conduct real-world practice comparisons. The Business Model Canvas approach, developed by Osterwalder and Pigneur, was used to illustrate modifications in the business model. This study is based on an academic literature review and does not involve empirical investigation. Therefore, practical examples are considered as secondary data. The results of the literature review and responses to the research questions indicate that digital transformation significantly affects the components of the business model. This allows companies in the entertainment and media sector to gain sustainable competitive advantages. This research provides a deeper understanding of how digital transformation impacts a company's business model, particularly in the entertainment and media sector, and underscores the importance of continuous adaptation in response to rapidly changing business environments.

Abstract

In a legal and social context, the reproduction right is a problem of power relations and society, particularly laws. Women usually remain silent since they lack power. Not because of their personalities, but due to the influence of politics, economics, and society. Their interactions with men, their families, their friends, and society are all crucial. Gender-based laws are the result of communal attitudes toward women, gender, and sex. This results in a variety of forms of violence during implementation. The study adopts a description-based approach, and the analysis of how norms are applied to positive laws is the main research objective. Normative juridical research is well-versed in this approach. In order to develop the idea of gender equity, the study examines how human rights are applied and whether they are acceptable for women's reproductive rights based on gender. Additionally, the statuary approach, conceptual approach, and comparative technique are used in this type of research. These methods are used to identify problems and possible solutions. The results of the study indicate that when it comes to the safety or health of their reproductive systems, women have a special right to protection at work and in their professions Gender inequality is a cause of violations of women's human rights. Gender discrimination and violence against women in Indonesia are still pervasive.

Abstract

A single embedded case study and a descriptive qualitative methodology are used in this study. sources of information include people or organizations, activities or events, documents and archives, as well as literature. The objectives of this study are to identify the economic liberalization that has taken place in the implementation of education in Indonesia, identify the effects of this economic liberalization, and discover the economic liberalization that has taken place in the education provision in Indonesia through its perspective of human rights. Education is a fundamental right that every citizen has access to, as stated in the preamble of the Undang-Undang Dasar 1945, which is about the nation's intellectual life. Everyone needs education to provide them with new knowledge. The economic liberalization of education provision refers to the recent use of education as a new tool to profit from all angles. Those with lower income levels may notice the effects of economic liberalization in the implementation of this education because it becomes more challenging for them to obtain the best education. Complete facilities and top-notch teaching staff are necessary for good education. The results of the study indicate that diverse parties must promote instruction that adheres to Indonesian national standards. Disparities and prejudice against particular groups seeking a great education must be removed in order to guarantee that every student has equitable access to a high-quality education that will help them develop their potential and talents in the future. The government, as the highest authority, should carry out planned programs in line with the desired objectives by evaluating field data and keeping an eye on connected parties' performance. The government will be able to maintain broad control over program execution as a result, without concentrating on or supporting any particular group.

Abstract

Abstract

Indonesia has increasingly turned to initial public offer-ings of strategic state-owned enterprises (SOEs) to finance post-pandemic development ambitions and showcase its climate credentials. The February 2023 listing of PT Per-tamina Geothermal Energy (PGEO)—the country’s first geothermal-focused flotation—typifies this strategy, pre-senting the company as a flagship of the national green-transition agenda. This article investigates how account-ing disclosures surrounding the IPO were mobilised as in-struments of political legitimacy. Employing a mixed-methods design, the study combines systematic content analysis of the PGEO prospectus and 2022–2023 sustaina-bility reports with an event study of abnormal share-price movements across an eleven-day (±5) window. The textual analysis uncovers a carefully layered narrative in which themes of “green leadership”, “energy sovereignty”, and “inclusive growth” are interwoven with governance affir-mations to appeal simultaneously to investors, policy-makers, and civil society. The event study registers a cu-mulative abnormal return of approximately five per cent by day +2, indicating that markets provisionally validated the legitimacy signals embedded in the disclosures. Col-lectively, the findings suggest that PGEO’s IPO was or-chestrated not merely as a capital-market transaction but as a calibrated act of political accounting aligning investor confidence with state objectives.

Abstract

This study explores urban fishing as a form of informal leisure and psychosocial coping among residents in Bandung, Indonesia. Employing a mixed methods approach, data were collected through a survey of 60 respondents and in-depth interviews with 15 participants. The findings reveal that most participants engage in fishing to find calm, alleviate stress, and foster social connection. Fishing commonly takes place in informal urban spaces such as riverbanks and community ponds, indicating a grassroots reappropriation of urban space beyond official planning. The analysis draws on theories of informal leisure (Stebbins), everyday practice (de Certeau), non-clinical emotional coping (Lazarus & Folkman), and the capabilities approach in human development (Sen & Nussbaum). The study concludes that urban fishing functions as a strategic practice for psychosocial resilience, social cohesion, and spatial negotiation in the urban environment. It recommends that policymakers recognize informal recreational practices as part of inclusive, human-centered urban development.
