Abstract

This study aims to develop, determine the feasibility, and test the effectiveness of ANIMART learning media based on Education Through Art in improving the learning outcomes of third-grade students on the subject of animals. This study uses the ADDIE model research and development method. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, questionnaires, documentation, as well as pre-tests and post-tests. Data analysis used descriptive analysis, expert validity testing, paired sample t-test, and N-Gain calculation. The results showed that the ANIMART media was designed in the form of animated videos that integrated the concept of animal movement with dance elements through the Education Through Art approach, so that students could learn visually, kinesthetically, and enjoyably. This media is unique in that it combines IPAS material with movement art activities that encourage active student involvement. Validation results by media experts, IPAS material experts, and dance material experts show that the media is in the highly feasible category after one revision. The effectiveness test results show a significant difference between the pre-test and post- test scores (Sig. 0.002 < 0.05) with an N-Gain value of 0.57, which is classified as moderate. Thus, ANIMART media is quite effective in improving student learning outcomes

Abstract

Dance learning in elementary schools is no less essential in learning activities. However, teachers still need to clarify many things regarding the purpose of learning dance in schools, where teachers still think that learning dance must teach students to become dancers. Therefore, this study aims to develop e-modules on recognizing the environment with dance for grade IV elementary school students. This type of research is development research with the ADDIE development model. The data collection techniques used in the study were observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires, and tests. The data analysis techniques used are normality test, t-test, and N-Gain test. The results of the feasibility assessment of e-modules to recognize the environment with dance from material experts obtained a score of 92.26%. In comparison, the evaluation of media experts obtained a value of 89.02%. In addition, responses from users on product trials obtained a percentage of 98.18% from students and 100% from class teachers. The effectiveness of e-modules to recognize the environment with dance is evidenced in the t-test which obtained a significance value of 0.001 less than the significance level of 0.05, which means that there is a significant effect of using e-modules to recognize the environment with dance. In the N-Gain test, the result is 82.80, which can be concluded that the e-module of recognizing the environment with dance that has been developed is declared feasible and effective in learning dance.

Abstract

This study aims to develop, determine the feasibility, and examine the effectiveness of the GERANA E-Module assisted by the Book Creator application in dance education. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model. The research subjects consisted of material experts, media experts, teachers, and fourth-grade elementary school students. Data were collected through interviews, observations, questionnaires, tests, and documentation and were analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques. The development process resulted in the GERANA E-Module, which features text, images, and interactive videos. The novelty of the module lies in the integration of natural phenomenon-based movement concepts into elementary dance education. The validation results showed scores of 91.4% from material experts and 96% from media experts, both of which were categorized as highly feasible. The effectiveness of the module was evaluated using pretest and posttest data analyzed through normality tests, t-tests, and N-gain analysis. The t-test results showed a significance value of Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.001, indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores, while the N-gain score of 0.5733 was categorized as moderate. In conclusion, the GERANA E-Module is highly feasible and effective in improving students’ motor skills in dance learning, particularly in the topic of understanding the environment through dance among fourth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to develop the Engklek Smart Quiz learning medium based on Education Through Art and to determine its feasibility and effectiveness in improving the science learning outcomes of fourth-grade students on the topic of “Forces Around Us” at SD Negeri 1 Pendem. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) based on the ADDIE model. Data collection techniques included both tests and non-tests; tests were conducted via pre-tests and post-tests to measure improvements in student learning outcomes, while non-tests consisted of observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis utilized validity, reliability, and normality tests, paired t-tests, and N-Gain. The media was developed as a banner-based game integrating physical activities, art, “Do” and “Ask” question cards, floor patterns, and music barcodes. The validation results indicate that the teaching material is highly suitable, with an 89% approval rate from subject matter experts and a 96% approval rate from media experts. The material is also considered highly practical, based on a 92.65% approval rate from teachers and a 94.20% approval rate from students. The effectiveness test showed a significant improvement in learning outcomes with a significance level of <0.05. The N-Gain values of 0.5634 for the small group and 0.6083 for the large group fall into the moderate category. Thus, this medium is considered appropriate, practical, and effective for IPAS learning, and the use of game- and art-based learning media can serve as an effective alternative learning strategy in creating active, creative, and enjoyable learning experiences for elementary school students.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to develop, assess the feasibility of, and test the effectiveness of the GERITA (Visual Stimuli in Dance Movement) PowerPoint-based learning medium to improve the learning outcomes.Methodology – This is a Research and Development (R&D) study using the ADDIE model with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were 22 first-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Kertanegara, Purbalingga Regency. The research method used was a mixed-methods approach. Data were collected using test-based (pre-test and post-test) and non-test-based (interviews, questionnaires, and documentation) techniques, then analyzed using normality tests, paired-samples t-tests, and N-gain tests.Findings – The development of the GERITA media integrates visual, audio, and interactive navigation elements into a single, simple digital platform, while also applying an embodied learning approach that connects visual and audio stimuli with students' physical experiences. The results of the feasibility validation indicated that the GERITA media received a "highly feasible" rating, with subject matter expert validation scoring 92.85% and media expert validation scoring 96%. A paired-sample $t$-test demonstrated the effectiveness of the GERITA medium, revealing a significant improvement in student learning outcomes, with a significance level (2-tailed) of 0.001 (<0.05), or a 29% increase from the pre-test average score of 53.18 to 82.73 on the post-test, placing it in the "moderately effective" category; the N-gain test yielded a value of 0.6634, placing it in the "moderate" category.Contribution –This study provides concrete evidence that interactive PowerPoint-based learning media can be an effective, practical, and viable innovative learning strategy to improve student learning outcomes in elementary schools, particularly in first grade.
