Abstract

This article describes the application of Google Sites based learning media in an effort to improve learning outcomes in Sociology subjects in class XI IPS 2 SMA Negeri 1 Ampek Angkek. The method used is the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model. In its application, all the steps needed in the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) model are carried out, namely modeling, inquiry, questioning, learning community, constructivism, reflection, and authentic assessment. The results of this study indicate that the application of Google Site based learning media can improve student learning outcomes. The learning media made consist of the Main Page, Absensi Page, Pre Test Page, material Page, feedback page, and Post Test Page. This media was validated by sociology teacher. The feasibility of Google Sites media is based on the score obtained for each aspect by sociology teachers to get an assessment result with an average score of 76 which is included in the appropriate category.

Abstract

Industry 4.0 has influenced the process of human communication from face-to-face to virtual. The communication process aligns with the Cyber-Physical System (CPS) concept. The CPS concept shows what is physically represented in cyberspace and vice versa. This has resulted in content production and distribution in the mass media adopting technological developments summarized in the CyberPhysical and Smart Factory systems. The adoption of technology that the mass media should carry out is a challenge for the sustainability of the media industry to carry out the function of the press. Thus, this article offers forms of technology adoption in the mass media using the literature review method in previous studies. The literature review results in this article offer technology adoption in the mass media from the perspective of industry 4.0. The form of technology adoption is the process of computational journalism as a production action based on Smart Factory. Furthermore, news automation is a production act and a CPS-based news distribution. This production and distribution process should involve the mass media workforce, which requires an approach to technology adoption by humans in the future mass media.

Abstract

Tourism villages are one of the government's ways to overcome poverty in remote areas in Indonesia. Tourism villages are also able to develop the potential that exists in the area. The Kubu Gadang Tourism Village tourism awareness group also participated in the tourism village concept. The tourism awareness group feels compelled to develop Kubu Gadang Village. This study aims to determine the communication management of tourism awareness groups in developing the Kubu Gadang Tourism Village in Padang Panjang City. The theory used in this study is Michael Kaye's communication management theory, and the method used is qualitative. Data collection techniques using indepth interviews and direct observation. The results showed that the management of interpersonal communication at the Pokdarwis of the Kubu Gadang Tourism Village was well implemented, as seen from the form of support given to the Kubu Gadang Tourism Village.
