Abstract

Currently eco-friendly trends among Indonesians are in great demand, eco-fashion is one example of the application of eco-friendly trends to maintain the environment by reducing textile waste. However, not many people know about eco-fashion trends. In the making of this Final Task the author will create a fashion campaign photo work, the strength in fashion photography itself is to be able to record images and communicate certain beauty and is expected to be able tokanlkan eco-fashion trends to the public at large. In this fashion campaign photo, the author takes the concept of Ayu Lan Praseja. Ayu Lan Praseja is taken from javanese language which has a beautiful and simple meaning. Ayu Lan Praseja’s concept tells about the nature and behavior of Javanese people inspired by javanese philosophy of “nrima ing pandum” which means to “take for granted whatever happens as God’s will or destiny”. The use of basic photography techniques is used in this Final Task and the result obtained by the author in this Final Task work is Fashion Campaign Photography that can convey the message that the author wants to convey, namely about Ayu Lan Praseja, with a mature concept and also good photo-taking techniques. Abstract

Penelitian dan penciptaan karya ini dilatarbelakangi terbatasnya brand lokal yang memproduksi lingerie yang digunakan sebagai sleepwear. seperti brand BER.CIN.TA. Brand ini masih belum banyak dikenal oleh masyarakat luas, sehingga dibutuhkan pendekatan promosi yang lebih modern dan relevan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menciptakan sepuluh karya foto fashion sebagai media promosi Instagram dengan pendekatan fotografi fashion komersial dan mengusung konsep honeymoon vacation agar dapat menarik minat pasar pasangan urban kelas menengah ke atas. Metode yang digunakan adalah practice-based research, dengan melakukan riset mengenai sleepwear dan penerapan pengalaman membuat foto fashion. Dalam proses penciptaan, penulis menciptakan 10 karya foto fashion yang menggambarkan momen-momen intim dan romantis dari pasangan selama melakukan honeymoon di villa modern dengan menggunakan produk sleepwear brand BER.CIN.TA. Manfaat dari penelitian ini yaitu dapat meningkatkan brand awareness pada brand BER.CIN.TA. Hasil karya ini diharapkan mampu memperluas pangsa pasar brand BER.CIN.TA dan menunjukkan bahwa sleepwear lokal dapat tampil modern, intim, dan bernilai estetika tinggi melalui pendekatan visual yang kuat dan relevan.

Abstract

This study examines cultural representation in food photography through a visual analysis of food photographs with the theme of Makan Bajamba used in calendars. The focus of the study is directed at how visual elements, namely composition, lighting, shooting angles, colors and object arrangement, play a role in constructing cultural meaning and representing the social and ritual values ​​of the Minangkabau people, especially in Koto Gadang, West Sumatra. This study uses a qualitative approach with visual semiotic analysis methods to identify cultural signs in each photo. The results show that food photography in calendars functions not only as an aesthetic medium, but also as a representational device that emphasizes collective identity, social hierarchy, and interaction patterns in the practice of Makan Bajamba. The calendar as a distribution medium strengthens the function of photographs as reminders of cultural cycles, symbolic archivists and visual educational tools. In conclusion, the integration of food photography in calendars produces a visual narrative that combines culinary aesthetics and the rhythmic structure of tradition, thus opening up space for reinterpreting cultural practices in a contemporary context.

Abstract

This community service program aims to empower the community, particularly the photography community, in utilizing documentary photography as a medium of social communication in Jakarta. Cultural diversity, history, and modernity are important objects of visual documentation for urban communities. The methods used include literature studies, field observations, photography training, photography practice at a number of iconic locations, and publication of the results through social media. This activity not only improves technical skills but also the ability to interpret cultural symbols and messages in photographs. The program results in enhanced visual literacy, the availability of cultural promotion content for Jakarta, and contributions to strengthening the creative economy. This initiative is crucial for cultural preservation, public information dissemination, and increasing community participation in promoting Jakarta's urban identity in the digital age.
